Not bad, but I'd rather have Bailey's Millenium Defiant.
Can she do the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs ?
How does one do something regarding units of distance, rather than time?
How'd I know someone would bring up that tidbit.. (because they always do).
Shadow Fang nailed it.
Skirted really close to the black hole cluster, cutting distance off his "famous" Kessel run.
Many smugglers would boast of how long (in distance) it took them to get from point A to B in the Kessel cluster.
Cutting too close meant certain death.
And being the scoundrels that smugglers are, they like to measure dic... cough* distances, as a matter of pride, and as another means to boast their dominance in the smuggling trade.
well, it certainly is a mistake NOW, since the old explanation can't be reused as the maw apparently doesn't exist in disney-canon (and kessel is also an actual planet with a temperate climate instead of being a giant desert potato in space with a barely-breathable atmosphere that is constantly drifting off into space because of weak gravity...THANKS REBELS!)

It was actually a pretty slick retcon though all things considered.
And I really don't know the status of the Disney EU verse.
Seems like they'll happily dip into it for ideas, but not confirm anything really happened..
However I think we all know the biggest blunder for Lucas was having Leia make out with her bro in Empire.
The foresight was not strong with Lucas.
Back on topic;
What would be really awesome though is if they made a Research Science bundle, that included a T6 Oberth/Olympic and Nova.
I'd open my wallet for that.
Neither knew they were related, and this scene confirms it.
It acknowledges an attraction between the characters which they both imagine to be infatuation.
Leia did it to make Han jealous. It worked.
Also, when their relationship became known to moviegoers, the predictable, "Ick, he kissed his sister," thing would give moviegoers something to talk about once everyone knew James Earl Jones had a son.
No ship should be off the table for T6 anymore. We have the Daedalus, NX, Constitution, Miranda, ...etc. All these ships are ancient and in the case of the Oberth several that I listed are older so I say bring on the T6 Oberth. I don't like science ships personally, but I'd love to see these flying around for those who do.

Well, to be fair, during ESB, it wasn't intended that Leia would be Luke's sister (not at that time anyway), that was written in during the lead up to ROTJ (according to script writers).
Originally there was supposed to be another 3 episodes after ROTJ.. But that plan was cancelled and Lucas wanted to tie up some of the loose ends. One of them being the love triangle between Luke/Leia/Han.
Luke's true sister would have been revealed during ep VII - IX.
But cutting 3 films, Lucas had no choice but to bring an end to the Love triangle. It was also rumored that Vader was never supposed to be Luke's father, and was never supposed to be Anakin Skywalker.
In the original screen play, Luke was actually supposed to have met his fathers ghost on Dagobah in ESB, and take a Jedi oath with him.
Going further, his fathers ghost told him of his sister, but said he couldn't reveal her identity to Luke at the time, because Vader would pull that information from his mind, and use it against him..
Lucas has never publicly or officially addressed these major discrepancies/questions, which lends itself to the fanboi notion that Lucas had everything planned out from start to finish. *shrug*
But its a glaring error looking back on it in hindsight.
Vacuum Cleaner? There you go now you can have your T6 Dyson.

Well the real reason Luke and Leia kissed was they were both supposed to have been born in the Ozarks.

Dunno if you can see it, but the 3d Oberth model I have has a TMP style neck under the main hull, connection the two. I can make another render if you guys would like, and I think a T6 Oberth could get the Miranda treatment with a new class, with optional Oberth skin.
I do like the Sov style nacelles on that render, they are nice
Here's the same model I use, at a different angle, to show off how this one is different, and how an Oberth variant, like the Yamato, and so on are like with the Galaxy.

It's a nice take on the Oberth, never was a fan of the original in ST III

I'd be cool with the Oberth T6 if we got a Pegasus phasing cloak (And if they changed the already existing 'No Collision' cloaks to damage the user and possibly other ships in range when re-phasing, like the Pegasus getting stuck in an asteroid.)
I really hope it gets released in 2018, but I am afraid of them adding a possible miracle worker seating to it, and I don't think it would suit this kind of ship.

Sadly the Phase Cloak already exists on the Intel Assault Cruiser as it's special console. It's pretty rubbish, but it's there.
I would love to see a T6 Oberth, really it would be lovely. It's actually a perfectly serviceable ship in its current T1 state if you have same good gear and know what to do (and are prepared to die a LOT!)
But a T6 with a secondary deflector would be really nice.
It just has that nice TOS movie vibe to it that a lot of the more modern designs can't really replicate. Things like the Miranda, Constitution, Constellation; they are all nice TOS style designs with a real trek feel to them.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
Neither knew they were related, and this scene confirms it.

And Leia's the ONLY woman, it seems, in that part of space. XD
