Either/both... If it is taking screenshots, they're not going anywhere I can find...
So not in STO's screenshot folder?
So far, I've not even found an STO screenshot folder... :-\ I've looked, but just not seen one... :-\ I'll look again at some point

That's it! My next toon will be Elisa Flores. Based on the original model.
Maybe she'll run into Subadmiral Tovan Khev sometime (currently commanding the Xyfius heavy escort RRW Tovan Khev XIV...).
And yes, you can dismiss any BOff except Tovan. I don't know why you would - Elisa, K'Gan, and Tarsi are free purple Tac BOffs you get at the very beginning - but they are dismissable. You just can't rename them.
Actually, all I needed to do with Flores to make her look better was slap the "Long" hair option on her. Bam, marked improvement in almost no time.
My issue is that I really can't stand many of the hair options the game offers. I especially dislike the short/medium options. They don't look good at all imo.
I'll use 4 different cuts on all my toons;
Long/Ponytail Standard/Ponytail with bangs/Ponytail with longer bangs.
I have never really found ANY of the other hair choices appealing at all but that's just my opinion.
this thread is extremely sexist. there is nothing wrong with how Elisa Flores looks currently and there is no need to change anything to make her "prettier" in the OP's opinion.
by the way, why aren't you posting a thread talking about how to make a male character look more "handsome"? why did you single out a female character to say their looks should be improved?

A player can choose to make their character as "pretty" as they want to.
You have no say in how a specific player chooses to "Space Barbie" their crews and captain.
And nobody is against making male characters more "handsome" here. But in this specific case, THIS specific player chooses to make his characters "pretty" to HIS eye.
If you want a "Handsome" thread, no one is stopping you. Go ahead and make one.

Your 'questions' (which I doubt you actually are interested in hearing responses to) do not merit response. You have, however, been reported for trolling, and I will do so again every time you behave in this manner.
I know, she's been around a while, but the facial work done on Miral Paris shows just how good these characters can be made to look (especially if the devs have customizing options with greater subtlety or more options than we have as players...) and to be honest, I've always thought that Elisa's face was a bit 'harsh' and angular...
Well, I've played around with the sliders and softened things up to what I think looks much softer and more feminine, but still recognizably Elisa Flores...
Here're the slider positions if anyone (devs) wants them:
I'll let y'all judge the results for yourself...
You guys need to get out more often in the real world and get a GIRLFRIEND or whatever your other preference might be?

I think my WIFE might have a problem if I was to get a girlfriend... But thanks for your constructive contribution to my thread

I don't know, there's a few of the short/close ones that are okay. I like the bob haircut that's similar to Ensign Ro's from TNG... only without the hairband. (Something that I still say should be added to the game as a 'head' option). It's all a matter of personal taste, I suppose. I did have a fondness for, I think it was Short 01 or Short 03, the one that was neck-length and swooped down along the right side of the head (putting it in a perfect position to hide part of the Seven of Nine implants on a character that I was just wanting the eyepiece as a 'synaptic transceiver' on) until it developed a glitch and part of it stopped showing up right...

Once upon a time there was a tactical bridge officer named Elisa Flores. She had no good space traits so her commanding officer condemned her to oblivion. The end.
you can call me whatever name you want, but my question still stands:
why did you single out a female character's looks as needing improvement? have you ever made a single post about a male characters appearance?
He is not required to do so. And you can get out of here with your feigning outrage, and SJW TRIBBLE.
Go make your "Handsome" thread already if you want one so bad.
Stop trying to derail this thread with your "fake" outrage. Or I'll be the next to report you for trolling.

why have I never once seen a thread saying a male character isn't handsome enough?
of course no one will be brave enough to answer that question.

Maybe all of the males are fine?
More seriously, the answer depends wildly on the person in question. There is no universal answer to your question, and any demands for such an answer are foolish at best and deliberate derailment at worst. (Amusingly, Marcus' thread can be seen as somewhat hypocritical after the Miral Paris thing, but given his stance, I imagine that's more 'unfortunate timing' than 'genuine hypocrisy'.)

Because you haven't looked hard enough, there have been plenty of threads asking for clothing and hair options for male characters, some even asking for female clothing/make up selections to be made available to male characters.
Which I have no problem with, if that's the way the specific player wants to see their character. IDIC
you can call me whatever name you want, but my question still stands:
why did you single out a female character's looks as needing improvement?
Well, misandrist, I did not 'single out a female character's look as needing improving', and if you had bothered to actually read my opening post, you would see my very specific comparison to the presentation of your girl-crush, Miral Paris, who has been rendered in a much smoother, more polished, and less harsh appearance. I never once said that Elisa was ugly, or unattractive, but that her presentation is harsh and angular. I made comment that the character tailoring is capable of producing A MORE REFINED APPEARANCE than what Elisa has been given, and gave specific example of that (Miral Paris) So without trying to twist my words, I didn't say that the character NEEDED improvement, I said that it COULD be improved upon, and gave an example.
What have YOU ever done for this community? What have YOU ever contributed or given back to it?
have you ever made a single post about a male characters appearance?
I've never felt that there was an assigned male character who wasn't already well presented. Admiral Quin and Tovan Khev are certainly handsome enough... Tom Paris and Harry Kim certainly resemble Robert Duncan McNeill and Garrett Wang, more closely than the Seven of Nine toon resembles Jeri Ryan (and in my own recreation of Seven of Nine, the sliders of the character tailor do not have sufficient range to reproduce Ms Ryan's features, they can only make an aproximation of them) But all four of those male characters are certainly better generated and presented than Elisa... I think some of the male toons I rolled are quite handsome, but since beauty/handsomeness is in the eye of the beholder, I have no doubt that you would disagree, or disagree just to be contrary. Also, I was not writing a tutorial to teach people how to create attractive toons, I was offering a refinement of an existing one, who could be better refined, just as Miral Paris was refined into a very smoothly presented toon.
I don't think she's bad looking to start with. The only major change I made to my Elisa was to give her one of the "short" hairstyles that looked way better and more elegant and professional than that "punk" hairstyle she comes with nowadays, especially since she's my first officer and normally has the conn when I'm off the bridge. Aside from that I only made a few minor adjustments.

i do thank you for making a real response without name calling. but you are talking about a different issue than me. you are talking about more visual options for player characters. i am asking if anyone has ever posted a thread saying the appearance of a male NPC character needs to be improved, in the same way the OP did with Elisa Flores. have you ever seen such a thread?

Yes!!! Ro's matching headband was a really nice little touch which would make a great option for a character. Afterall, Ferengi have head-wraps, it would be nice for other 'haired' females to be able to have a hairband option

Ms Flores's default face is one of the more "cartoony" ones it must be said, there's a number of NPCs in the game with that issue (of both sexes). Marcus's makeover's quite nice, but too far away from her original for me.
I just tend to make her chin a little less square and her lips a little smaller and think it makes her face a bit more realistic without going all Extreme Makeover on her

I may sometimes be 'contradictory', but one thing I am not, and cannot stand, is a hypocrite/hypocrisy... I happened to see this photo posted by a model on fb yesterday;
who I thought looked very much like a real-life version of Elisa (or rather how Elisa would look, if she was given a Miral-facelift) so I was inspired to see if I could recreate the look, keeping as much of the essence of Elisa's features (such as her hazel eyes) as I could... I believe I did...

Thank you, that is the point I was trying to make... Elisa looks like X... X is okay if that is all the game generator is capable of rendering (such as the characters in GTA:San Andreas) Miral, however, looks like Y, and is rendered in a significantly more refined way...
But thanks for the feedback, and thanks for seeing the point I was making
I've never felt that there was an assigned male character who wasn't already well presented.
so you think every male NPC in the game looks great, but that some female characters aren't "pretty enough".
Don't put words in my mouth. I explained my thoughts, I see no need to repeat myself, especially to someone who's only intent is to be antagonistic and trolling.
And yes, you can dismiss any BOff except Tovan. I don't know why you would - Elisa, K'Gan, and Tarsi are free purple Tac BOffs you get at the very beginning - but they are dismissable. You just can't rename them.
Elisa is keepable... K'Gan & Tarsi however are space junk... no space traits no reason to keep. Good for ground as a newbie but once your settled in... jettisoned via airlock.
Wish I can get rid of Tovan as well... as a Lifer I have enough BO space but for F2P folks... BO space is limited and you can do better than Tovan with SRO. If they just update his RO to SRO then there should be no complaints except for 3... you want a all female crew, all reman crew or wanted a name of your choice...

Personally, a lot of time I'll stick a Tovan in an EV suit or Vaadwaur uniform or something else that obscures his features and pretend that he's a strangely named Vaadwaur or Breen or something...
