Nah. I'd get a Kelvin type, or an Armstrong type, or even a Mayflower type if the added the option of a rollbar; but neither the Connie nor the Vengence interest me in the slightest.

In my opinion it's way too big, somehow out of proportion. Axanar had a version of this with TOS style nacelles, a "full saucer" and a bit more reasonable overall size. I liked that one, it was for a prolonged time my forum wallpaper. Whatever comes from the Axanar debacle, they really had the visuals nailed.

Hey, to each his own.
Your father was captain of a starship for twelve minutes. He saved 800 lives, including your mother's, and yours.
I would rather have the actual TOS connie in T6 form. I find it interesting that we have a TOS themed major update coming, celebrating another birthday of Star Trek, based in the TOS era, but leaving the actual TOS constitution-class itself out of endgame form.
The Nautilus Class Temporal Science Vessel can use the Daedalus Class Science Vessel costume if you own both ships
The Theseus Class Temporal Escort can use the Perseus Class Temporal Escort’s costume if you own both ships
The Sagittarius Class Temporal Cruiser can use the Gemini Class Temporal Cruiser’s costume if you own both ships
The Paladin Class Temporal Battlecruiser can use the Ranger Class Temporal Battlecruiser’s costume if you own both ships
===
And the actual TOS constitution-class is specifically left out. Despite AOY using the TOS era. But hey, there's a JJ-Prise coming but not the original connie.
NO.
no t6 connie not now not ever, it's jumping the shark
LOL, we have currently in STO:
Even more ancient ENT-era ships at endgame. Ships from before the Federation even existed, at T5.
Playable Species 8472 Bioships.
Starfleet, KDF, Romulan Republic captains flying around in non-faction ships.
And you're telling me a T6 Connie would be jumping the shark when this kind of stuff has happened already?
Don't forget Fed Captains flying Tholian Dreadnaughts. Sorry - the "It breaks Immersion" argument or "Jumps the Shark" argument died 2+ years ago in this game at best.

But I love the 'long-haul' look of them. They look like ships that could travel on a five year mission feasibly. Their size (~300m for the Newton) is representative of that to me.

300m would be completely fine, but the image looks like it's kilometers long Maybe I'm unable to comprehend the picture, but it looks huge.

It's size is dependent on its components being identical to those of the Kelvin, but it looks bigger than it is due to the lack of windows on the saucer.

My only problem with that one is that the nacelles are waaaay to close to the living quarters.
I still go by the Franz Joseph design ethic of not wanting what ever radiation/anti-whatever-particles, near living beings when the engines are operating.
What can I say, I'm old school...
I like the over-all look just not the nacelle placement.
If they gave the neck a bit more bulk and slid the primary hull forward on it, it would be perfect in my humble opinion.

Yet. Look forward to more KT stuff if Cryptic makes a mint on the Kelvin Box. I mean, we got two Xindi boxes, after all.
I'm guessing we will see at least the USS Kelvin in the next six months or so. (if not sooner)

We have naval ships in service today whose living quarters are right next to nuclear reactors. Just need the right kind of shielding and you're good to go
But that's the point, at this particular juncture in Trek pseudo-history, they don't have that kind of shielding.
Thus the reason ALL the other ships (Prime & KT), have the nacelles a distance away.
If I had to retcon it, I guess it could be that this particular class of ship is only used for short patrols in local systems and not for long distance scouting or exploring.
Therefore, the crew isn't expected to have long durations of exposure.
Though, I can't really think of any reason to have the nacelles that close to the hull anyway.

My take on the FJ design ethic is more to do with making it easier to jettison the nacelles (if/when they're damaged) without having to worry about keeping them away from the hull during the jettison procedure as much. That, and they'd likely be a bit easier to work on, being away from the hull.
If the nacelles were so bad with regards to radiation etc, then I don't think they'd have the walkways, control rooms etc in them. Certainly not ones with full life support fit-out, or data network connections that enable the ship to be controlled (with some jiggery-pokery) from a store-room(!) just off the nacelle internal maintenance catwalk. It wasn't just Enterprise that had the "people working in nacelles" schtick either, TNG did it too in...I think it was s7?
TL;DR I don't buy the whole "radiation" tale FJ span. IMO it's more likely with simplifying servicing and emergency procedures.
