I had such hopes ... a new 120 dollar mega pack is not something I find interesting though ...

If it's going to be the only thing then yes ... but it's pretty safe to assume it's coming with a new Expansion or at least "Recruit Event" ...

Personally not excited by the pack. I'd much rather they released the long over due Tier 6 Sovereign, Vor'Cha, Nebula, Norway, Sabre, K'Vort, Steamrunner and New Orleans classes. All of the afore mentioned ships would guarantee a purchase from me.

The TOS ships i'd want to fly if i purchased this pack the Constitution/Miranda (not included)/Saladin(Not included) and Daedalus are Tier 1 & 2 respectively and after about an hour will be discarded and never used on a new alt as its levelled.

This bundle meh ! no 1 ship interests me nor do the costumes or other perks.

Furthermore, "Six Temporal Operative Specialization Qualifications" supports the idea that they have 'alts' in mind.

Not really ... it clearly states those are going to be for your Bridge Crew, and only for 1 Character on your Account ...

And since they clearly seperate "TOS" from "FED" Chars ... it begs to question what would be the difference between both, if not different Ships i.E. ...

If it would be just something like "Delta Recruits" they wouldn't have to word it that way ... since Delta Recruits were either "FED", "ROM" or "KDF" ... not "TOS" ... so I'd wait until they tell us exactly what those new "TOS"-Characters are going to be, and how they'll fit into the current factions ...

If it's just a ship pack without any new content I'm not interested. But if they release a full expansion with missions playing in the TOS era I'm definitely gonna buy it.

Hold on; The Connie, Oberth and Miranda stay T1, but the Daedalus, a ship that replaced the NX series and was dropped decades before any of the Connie, Miranda or Oberth were even designed gets to be T2 with a T6 inspired replacement? Logic?

You noted that we also get T3, T4 and T5 TOS ships, right? There's no logic, it's just ship skins pig-3.gif

Oh you have to be F'Ing kidding me...
Based upon the starter & mega packs, we're gonna be able to play back in TOS era. Oh joy!!! Why?

And I bet ya I wouldn't be able to get the 'packs' since I already have the TOS Connie and standard TOS uniforms and command tunics...

    Thank you for the time...

I doubt this is the 'big thing' that's supposed to happen though. We'll most likely only see the announcement today.

Weren't previous specialisations tested on Tribble? And beside that, season 11.5 is just a month old now? I doubt we're going to see a full expansion with new episodes, uniforms, ships, a recruitment event and a new specialisation today.

An announcement is already a "big thing" ... at least as far as Cryptic is concerned ... they basically did the same thing with LoR ... announcing that they're now counting down to the actual announcment ... :open_mouth:

I don't think anything is actually going to happen within the game today ... except the Restoration Event ...

Agreed. Toss in there has been no pre-patching and if an expansion? ... It would be huge.

Announcement with a few weeks to pre-purchase the pack.

Very likely. Which would be a big disappointment.

Announcing an announcement to get everyone hyped up and enthusiastic is not something I can appreciate. IF it is indeed true that we'll only see an announcement today, of course.

"This cosume unlocks for all TOS and Federation characters on an account."

TOS is a faction? Maybe this is linked the possible new recruitment event? Can we start characters in the 23rd century now????
    "Six Temporal Operative Specialization Qualifications"

That's worded the same as Command, Intel, etc....

So it appears TOS is a SPEC.

    (...)

Why? Because it's absolutely amazing pig-2.gif If it's true. Otherwise it's just a TOS skin pack and if the rest of the content doesn't match there's not much point in it in my opinion.

If it would be just a Spec they wouldn't have to word it this way, though :
This costume unlocks for all TOS and Federation characters on an account.

... since Costume Availabilty has nothing to do with Specs ...

PS : I also don't think new T1- T4 Ships would really sell, if they wouldn't be linked to some kind of new (mini-)faction or at least "leveling experience" ...

Toying with the idea of being one of the first to purchase this pack. If nothing else, the T6 ships look very interesting. And if the Paladin Class is able to use the Tipler console from my main character's Wells clas, I'll definitely be pleased!

Real Temporal Operative bought that pack before it was officially released! XD

But the distinction between TOS and Federation characters is certainly interesting. If i were to be dangerously optimistic... What it the Temporal Operative spec allows you to use 'non faction' ships, to fit the theme of the future galactic union?
Real Temporal Operative: Purchased the Special Temporal Agent pack before it was even officially announced!

Ship packs would interest me more if you could use them from the get go and the hull, shields, bridge stations and console slots and the other slots levels were solely based on my rank alone, that way, you could stick to any ship you love the look of and never need to change it.....buying the ship packs should really only give you access to the ship appearance.....but thats just my opinion.

you still will be able to get them the mega bundles like the LoR and DR packs will not be locked out even if ya buy the ships piecemeal. and to answer why: why not be in the TOS era it would be a great era to move the story and be part of the history that made the game we play now also gives us a great excuse to kick it in an old school style on the Na'Kuhl
