So if the requirement is for ships using mostly sci based attacks that would allow for anything down to Lt Cmdr sci seating? I have a Fleet patrol escort refit with a Lt Cmdr sci seat and also the science command battle cruiser running a torp/sci build. Are those OK to fly I'm guessing?
I really don't want to feel restrictive, but...
Let's take my Arbiter setup I usually fly it with. It has sci officer in it's universal slot, so it has ST 1, TBR 1 and TSS 1, HE 2, GW 1. I would *never* call it a science oriented build and would never fly it in TSC runs, yet it totally suits with previously suggested lt. commander science stuff.
The purpose of channel is to unite all players who enjoy playing science oriented, to show that these seemingly quite forgotten ships can do something as well and the game is not designed only around Scimitars with [dmg]/[crtd]x3 [pen] beams. Also to show Cryptic that someone still flies sci vessels. I understood from the beginning that it will be a niche channel and it will be mostly federation-oriented. Of course I offer my help with any builds and questions that come up in the channel chat and as I've stressed multiple times, no one will be banned if we find them flying a non-sci vessel, but I'm just afraid if I would openly advertise builds like previously mentioned, the purpose of channel would be lost and it would turn into DPS-Public clone.
And if for you, heals+TBR+GW = science build, then sorry, you've misunderstood something. (You'll be still welcome in this channel for ideas though )
THE SCIENCE CHANNEL, very nice idea, would also be nice to have, sci/eng/tac sub forums so the chat in the forum is just on those builds. Will join today for one of my alts is a sci guy.
To be honest I'm not a Bill Nye fan... not by a long shot. If we were to have a patron perhaps someone who's actually accomplished something Scientifically? My personal favorite being Nikola tesla.
Also, aux scaling is apparently borked for Sci captain and BOff skills. I haven't tested yet due to time constraints but maybe some of you can have a look.
A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch." "We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"
Passion and Serenity are one.
I gain power by understanding both.
In the chaos of their battle, I bring order.
I am a shadow, darkness born from light.
The Force is united within me.

Hope to see all of you there!
PM dude. 12:00AM tonight, in about 3 hours, would have worked out for me. Busy tomorrow, you know, with life.
Anyways it should be brief so if you get a lunch break consider popping in for even just a few minutes.
This is only an official starting time. I, for instance, plan to linger for several hours in there.
