Okay, guys; this is getting to be ridiculous. Either take steps to secure your servers better or find this little TRIBBLE. and put him in jail. I'm tired of my evening leisure time being held hostage by some petulant spoiled brat.
*unlocks torpedo magazines* ready for battle. laughing trendy? go for it, use all the torpedoes up if you have to.
Murphy's laws:
1- Murphy’s Law tells us that anything that can go wrong will go wrong.
2- And anything that does go wrong will get progressively worse.
3- And if you survive the first two laws it’s time to panic.
It's getting to where it's almost pointless to log in because before long this tokhe stravv' will start his gagny scripts and knock us all offline again. And it seems like the hosting IT department doesn't give a good damn about it.

I must agree this is growing rather tiresome and frankly should have been dealt with permanently the first few couple of times it took place.

What can they do? If the Pentagon can't stop a DDoS, what can Cryptic do?
I am not a subscriber but I dump enough money into this game by buying ZEN - the service outage is getting a little out of hand...and every time whomever or whatever is digging at the Holodeck, the moment it let's up, 1000's of players try to log in bogging everything down even more, then the problem starts all over again.
FFS... can't even get my doffing and dil collection done cuz of this dweeb. I don't normally condone violence, but in this case, I'm tempted to look the other way. >_>
Has there been some new development to set him off again? I mean he started attacking us months ago over this or that, then things got relatively quite again, maybe he lost interest, now he's back. Is there any rhyme or reason to it at all? Just wondering why he trying to ruin all our evenings THIS TIME, is all.
I have to feel bad for the folks that work the late shift or whatever shift that walks in to the Cryptic studios and finds this waiting for them. There must have been a couple of meetings about just this situation already. I know, I know it's their job to be on top of stuff like this and since I don't know the politics over there I cannot say for sure where there has been some back and forth between the higher ups and the ones in the trenches dealing with this problem directly. I do appreciate the fact that they are at least trying to fix the problem. Thank you Trendy for at least keeping us in the loop about what your team is doing.
"There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life." - Ten Bears (Will Sampson)
Do we even know who this person(s) is/are? Why don't we take vigilante justice and DDoS him until his TRIBBLE breaks - see if mommy and daddy front him the money for new equipment...

Its not Cryptic's fault. Its a piece of Shtako hacker script jockey getting off on his annual Power Trip against Neverwinter.
Maybe you guys should hire a third party to help you figure out how to deal with this DDOS problem?
I think a few days at least based on past incidents.
Sony has tonnes more money available to them and they still have problems, and worse ones at that.
Please restore control to ESDs bay doors. I have stuff to do :P
