What is the Arc Client?
Install Arc

GameClient.exe Has Stopped Working at ST screen.

So, I looked this particular error up, and I seem to not be hte only one whose STO crashes at the STO logo loading screen. I found a makeshift solution, to put on Safe Mode. I tried it, and then started it up. Got to character select. Cool. So I went in, ramped my graphics settings back up, but when I made my Graphics Presets on "High", the game crashes, again, therefore, I pinpoint the issue seems to be with that particular thing. What can possibly cause this?

I've got something simular, I used to have the game installed on my c: drive (main system drive), with no problems other then it's getting full up, so installed new 500GB as game drive (500GB should be enougth for all my online games + game I install in the future). now i get as far as the new dawn screen, get a message saying materials reloaded, then a pop up say gameclient.exe has stoped working, by-passing the launcher and running the game direct has the same result. un-installing and reinstalling onto my C: drive and by-passing the launcher works, but i get no sound. running the game through the launcher results in the gameclient.exe message

Same error here. I read somewhere there's a problem with DirectX.. and that's causing the crash. But I don't know how to get around it.

Similar problem here. It will crash sometimes when exiting an instance. Also crashed when I changed the bloom setting to high.

Haha, use the launcher, and start in safe mode, you'll get a tiny screen, but you can get the game to run, then use the options and select display then graphic card, I got 3 choices, direct3d 11 #1, direct3d 9ex #1 and direct 3d 9 #1 (I selected the 3d 9 option). apply and exit the game, run the game again through launcher, go to setting to start in full screen. now I've just got to mess around with the graphic settings and put them back

for some reason my sound's come back

Exact same problem here. It keeps showing the opening cinematic but crashes on the logo. Tried to skip it but the same thing happened. Will attempt to launch the game in safe mode and see if that helps. If not, anybody have a suggestion? It would be much appreciated.

Same thing here, trying to log in, get about 2 seconds into the Title Screen and boom! crashes. Repaired and still happens.

Did the trick... sort of. Can only run it in 1280. Won't run in 1920.

I deleted that -d3d9 from the command line. Somehow I have 1920 now.
    No clue how.

-d3d9 isn't working for everyone, though.
