Oh my...just saw that Bladebuilders thing. It reminds me SO MUCH of this parody video...

So what were you guys's favorite parts?

I think my favorite was the scene where Poe and Finn are flying the TIE. :) I loved Poe's enthusiasm at *finally* getting to try flying one. :)

I admit it. I've fallen hard into the Kylo Ren fandom, and am assembling a full Ren cosplay.

(I do NOT support the "Reylo ship" though. First, I think they're related, and second, as much as I like the character, the likelihood of Kylo engaging in abusive behavior with any woman is currently high and I am realistic enough to know that.)

I guess I'll be that person, and reflect my favorite wasn't some cool and lens flared action scene (of which all were great made and I immensively enjoyed them), but the actual ending. It's so emotional. It left me with "yes, Yes, that was the missing ingredient, this IS the true Star Wars" and "I want to see more". So simple yet so beautiful.

When Chewbacca, Solo and Leia were reunited. I pretend that you could see how happy the actors were to see each other again. I know that Harrison Ford liked seeing the old cast again but I also know that he hates playing Han Solo with a burning passion, so I don't know how much of the filming was happy and how much was torture for everyone involved pig-2.gif

Yeah, there's an old saying that goes "actions speak louder than words"... well that scene was pretty much deafening..

It also fed into my idea that they're going to take apart her staff and make a light saber. Why else would they go to the trouble of making sure the audience knew she took it with her to meet Luke?

Precisely, you used a perfect word, deafening.
And funnily enough I also had the feeling that staff will be her training weapon, hence she took it with her. It looks as if it's used to be a saberstaff but doesn't look too sithy compared to Maul's. Maybe in the second movie we get to her training for a Jedi with her staff turned to saberstaff. It's such a logical continuation of it anyway.

Also, there's this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59qzKQycp4A and while it's speculation, it makes all the sense in the world, doesn't it? In which case definitely see Rey training with Luke.
