Couldn't decide if I wanted just the Kolasi or the Yamato too, but sale price on the 3pk, ah hell, can't resist that then.
Thanks for the Advanced Light Cruiser, Allied Escort Bundles, Jem-Hadar Light Battlecruiser, and Mek'leth

"Kolasi" Siege Destroyer? Really? I see now that the complaints from Facebook of reskinning old ships are valid. The ship appears little more than a renamed-and-overpowered Guramba. Thanks but no thanks, my Guramba is still fully functional and I figured out (with forum help) some years ago how to make it nearly indestructible. If PWE wants my Zen/Cryptic Points they will have to try harder! *rolls eyes*
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect. But actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey ... stuff. --the Doctor, "Blink"

Let's keep that conversation separate as it's not necessarily on topic with this thread, but I'm still trying to get to the bottom of that. It's weird in the sense that even I can't edit your signature with BBCode.

Thanks for looking into it. To bring it back on topic. I'm gonna make such a cool sig and wallpaper with my Yamato. If Thomas was behind the update, kudos. And tell him thanks!

For the Feds, yes. Since most Fed Dreadnoughts are cruisers, and all Fed cruisers only ever get a Commander Eng. Even the more combat-oriented Arbiter didn't get a Commander Tac.

Even the KDF's Battle Cruisers do not get a Commander Tac seat.

The Commander Tac seat, for all of Cryptic's intents and purposes, are confined to Escorts, Destroyers, Raptors, Raiders, and most Romulan Warbirds (in exchange though, Romulans have few Eng-centric ships).

But since you did mention it, maybe we'll eventually get Promotional Dreadnoughts with Commander Tac seats for the Feds and KDF to try for. Romulans can get comfy with their Scimitar Dreadnought Warbirds.

Slightly disappointed with the Console layout 5/2/3. A 4/3/3 would have been sweet for standard version and 4/3/4 for the fleet but its an improvement on the current Gal-x in game, not sure on whether to buy this or keep the tier 6 Galaxy as boff stations are exactly the same, the Tier 6 Galaxy benefits from either an extra Embassy console or a Research console which can give better dps returns than a 4th tact console.

The single hanger and lance aren't enough to place this in the must have category above those that already own the tier 6 Galaxy.

This is caters more to existing Galaxy-X pilots, i can't see it having many people whose main ship is a Eclipse, Guardian, Arbiter or Command ship jump out of those to fly this one it simply isn't better than any of those.

thanks, will there be a Tier six Defiant?
I am fan of the Galaxy class and Sovereign class. I like Federation cruisers.

Hoping for a Yesterday's Enterprise Bundle

My idea for the bundle

People keep typing that the Dreadnought is the same as the Explorer, but the Explorer has more sci consoles, console commands, and tankier masteries, while the Dreadnought has more tac consoles, a hangar, and the lance. Basically the Explorer is more of a tank.

Primarily this, but I like to add that stats are not unimportant, but I rather see it this way that I take a look at the ship's stats I want to play and then think about how I could make it work, what creative builds I can use instead of asking for the easy way of uniform cookie-cutter builds across the board.

Likewise - I follow exactly the same line of thought.

I seldom discuss ship builds anymore, because they inevitably involve the other person(s) explaining why one HAS to use BFAW and how "any build without BFAW is fail". I don't want to use BFAW. I don't want to rely on an OP ability to produce adequate results. I do want to build a ship that performs how I want it to without being a hinderance to any team I am on.

My boarding party specialist Negh'Var agrees pig-2.gif

Usually when people criticize layouts it's "it needs a LTC Tac at least to slot FAW 3 / Kemo and Intel for OSS or SS otherwise it's garbage" - well I know there are other ways to cater to it, but if my desired ship doesn't have that why don't I make something else and maybe take "pride" in "my build" that makes me enjoy the game instead of complaining that I cannot do what this youtuber with his damage parser does.

My issue isn't really this although I certainly agree with you, however it's the problem of shared cooldowns. I look at this ship in the movies and I look at the standard Galaxy Glass ships and many other types, they all have the ability to use FAW, BO and TS, however you don't hear:

Picard: Mr Worf concentrate firepower on his shields
Mr Worf: I have overloaded the phasers and we have dropped his shields. Captain, there are three other ships decloaking
Picard: Mt Worf fire at will
Mr Worf: Sorry Captain, I cannot fire at will because the beams are cooling down from that last overload, you have to wait 15 seconds
Picard: FFS who designed this TRIBBLE!

The good part is, having overloaded the phasers they indeed would be knocked offline for some time. I mean it's overload. That's usually bad pig-2.gif

I get what you are saying but you need to get away from canon and simulations like bridge commander or games like starfleet command. STO is basically a strategic battle of cards, more or less. You ships fire on each other and you slam cards on the table causing x or y to happen. The whole way ships are geared and set-up makes no sense if you look at it, really.

So the Kara does not reduce the cost of the Fleet version total disapointment, But the Yamato does..why is this? When I asked the GMs they said the Fleet Kara was not released...a blatant lie totally embarassed themselves there
