Deteriorating is better for a DPS build though. So if you have at least 1 DRB slotted in, Deteriorating will be even better than Inhibiting even if you run a lot of control abilities especially in runs where people are over 30k DPS.
Still depends on what sci ability you're using. I'm guessing people are spamming Tachyon Beam every 15 secs.
I hadn't noticed the DRB on the build when I first saw it, so I was thinking "Deteriorating with only CPB when you have the control abilities to benefit from the inhibiting"
Right now I'm kind of on hold for any experimental building until the skills get redone, so I'm just doing variations on a theme with the paradox. Hoping to try out the Gravwell, PSW, tricobalt "yo-yo" build, making or finding the right subD gear for that proved to be reallllyyy annoying and somewhat fruitless.

I also spam CPB a lot. Especially when I start dragging things around with TBR. It creates a nice PBAOE radiation proc from my deflector.
Played about with the Daemosh for a short while today and boy is it fun.
It's slightly less tanky than i'd like but with a Lt. Cmdr. Uni seat it's very adaptable to whatever you want to run with. Tac if you want to fly more like and escort, Eng to give you more healing, Sci for more heals or more science attacks.
Not really found a use for the pilot seat yet but i'm sure someone will find it helpful, i've never tried anything with that school of abilities on it.
As for the ship itself, the Battle Cloak is a massive help for opening alpha-strikes and also for those "oh #**@" moments when you run out of heals or get a bit too much aggro (as you will if you're shooting science magic everywhere).
It's extremely nimble and that helped running it as a torp boat, should have no issues running cannons on it either especially now that the range dropoff can be dealt with.
With the lack of Romulan and KDF science vessels this is about as close as you're gonna get for now to faction specific and i'd say it's worth it.
Oh and it makes a cool pulsating humming noise when sat in orbit too... .
Dropped my points in subsystem powers and instead chased the remaining power points using fleet buffs. With fleet buffs I am still able to maintain 3x AMP so I moved those more valuable points elsewhere (namely hull and shield cap).
I know for a fact that the Battlecloak doesn't stop Terran ships with TBR or Tractor Beams hitting you. Even though you're "invisible" the game still makes you visible to these effects.
Also you can still be hit by shots that have already launched before you engaged the cloak, so torps and some slow cannon volleys can still get you.
Thing i'd like to know is can you use the Daemosh console plus the Rhode Island console plus the Dauntless console all at the same time to really confuse the enemy? Just how many duplicates of your ship can you have at one time!

1.) The reason we keep getting hit is we are within the NPCs cloak detection range (aggro-ed usually) or you've been hit with something that reduced your cloak rating temporarily. As for TBR..it is auto targeting (Same with Torp Spread) ,even if npc/players cant detect (due to a recent cloak) you will still be hit..soo..stay at least 5km away and youll be fine(From TBR).
2.) Two of those consoles are ship specific (sadly)...Tho that could be fun if could (magically) add the Mannheim device..
Ok so after quite a bit of time scraping up EC for keys and a ship I can put up the [EPG] variant of my Tal Shiar Adapted Battlecruiser. So hopefully this planner v6 works right.

Interesting build. Never considered the adapted BC as a torpedo boat.
When not having access to the corrosive torpedo i would swap that for a harpeng.
One question though, the 3 torpedoes up front all have significantly different rate of fire so do they not interfere with one another?
I usually have either the omega in front and romulan in the back (or vise versa depending on the build).
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

I'm learning a lot on the Science aspect from this thread, so all of you get 2 thumbs up from me. Keep up the good work.
From the torpedo aspect specifically: If you want to use a substitute for the Corrosive Plasma, I'd recommend a crafted Plasma torp if you want to keep the theme, or the Resonant Transphasic torp if you want to debuff the target severely. The set would be useful for this build in lieu of the Lobi gear.
FYI, don't fire TS1-3 or HY1-2 w/ the Romunan HyperPlas, as those are damage losses for that torp.

Somehow a couple of things got turned around, Krenim shouldnt even be there, Hyper should be in the back. I'll fix it later when I'm getting ready to put out the [drainx] variant which is very photon heavy.\
As for doffs Running with 2 Purple Projectile doff, CD. 2 purple deflector CD, and one purple aftershock. I find that the projectile doffs trigger often enough to breakup sequencing issues I tend to leave it on autofire, as long as I hit spacebar after certain abilities it runs smoothly.
Which may take awhile as the skillplanner seems to have gone down, right when i was editing.
Ok, its not completely done, the spreadsheet is annoying to work with, and I really dont know how to work it so just copied some basic data. Hopefully they get stoacademy and skillplanner back online soon.

I have a silly number of viable (some even good) setups on this page: http://www.kaysvaultofstuff.com/science.html I last updated the site shortly after DR launched so newer consoles are missing but as a rule, it's all good stuff.
Now that StoAcademy has been online for a bit, I can put this down in something other than list form. The Granya Type MKII
Photon Centric, with some extra drain consoles to go with the Quantum Phase torp. The layout of the TSABC allows it to swap between A Sci Cdr and a tac cdr, while retaining most of the necessary sci. The 3 piece that comes with the adapted ships, acts as part of a secondary deflector, allowing rad damage for the selected sci skills.
The main key is Coordinated Assault, gives the two hangar bays of Aeons BO1's, that combined with quantum phase gear, isocannon and the aeons special weapons usually mean something dead pretty fast. As SCM seems to be completely non functional I cant give a proper read on what the whole package can do.. Couple of other variants I toyed with were a full epg, a full drain and photon oriented of all 3.
So I've respec'd and gone for a full on probability manipulation build using torps & high EPG attacks. I'll get round to posting the build later this week once it's up on STOAcademy.
Holy cow does it hit hard. In CCA I think I knocked off more that half of the entity's HP's in my first attack as everything was criting like crazy. 1st place without even bothering to heal myself. It's a little squishy but with all the shield mastery tricks it should be pretty tough.
So I'm playing with the idea of buying that extra starship trait slot, it's a lot of money but well worth it as traits really add a lot of power to a build now.
But to all sciency guys and gals out there, what are your top 5 starship traits for science builds? I gave a vague idea of those for DPS builds but science ship builds can be so variable there's bound to be a variety of options.
Currently I'd list the following from my availible traits:
All Hands on Deck Reciprocity Ablative Field Projector Emitter Synergy Improved Command Frequency

It's a work in progress so feel free to critique or ask questions about it.
As for my builds, they remain unchanged for now so that I can get a good baseline test. So far, I think it is a net DPS and survivability gain for me.
