Rumor has it, Neverwinter had something that botters could exploit in their game to get basically unlimited Astral Diamonds. Which is their version of Dilithium. I'm told by a NW friend that they couldn't seem to stop the exploiting, so they removed the system completely since the botting was destroying the market.
Its not a rumor. In their version of the DOff system, the Leadership category apparently had a high Astral Diamond payout.
A lot of players are pissed off about it because "It wasn't broken" and "They haven't given an equivelent replacement reward". They have also cited that some of the "Leadership Armies" were not bots and weren't destroying the economy and won't listen to reason about the exploit.
The timing of these attacks though... either a coincidence, or he was one of the Botters that they shut down.

According to his Twitter, it's the same person as the last attacks. NeverWinterGod. The kid seems to enjoy flaunting his ability to bring down ALL the games at will while rubbing in everyone's faces how no one can stop him. And after a few days of this? Looking like he's right. Seriously though, the Ferengi also sells decent torches and rope as well.

I googled how to prevent and deal with these attacks. There's some good articles out there.

Oi, I was just trying to make light of this fuster cluck. But yeah. Not to be the kind that rabbles and raves and demands answers, but I would be interested to hear what is being done or even CAN be done to stop this. There is obviously a problem with server security if the server can be DDOS'ed. So many times within a month. Cryptic, please fix this, especially for those who are tied up during the week and want to play over the weekend!

Trendy, can you atleast confirm that you have reported this to the authorities and they are doing an investigation, also, i would enjoy having the person's ip addres if you get it, i think we all know what we would spend our money on...

I am releasing it on the 2 punching and kicking bags i have in my basement, and i had to put my dogs upstairs so i dont release my frustration on them, yes, its that bad

It says a lot about someone who is encouraging someone causing trouble to cause more trouble. Nabreeki is that 1 kid on the playground telling the bully to punch the nerd in the face.
