We're more likely to say 'The Commons are making a decision' than parliament :p. That may well be a case of is or are, but never refer to a band or sports team as singular :D, that will annoy people.

I can think of a number of sports teams and bands with singular names. Colorado Avalanche, Manchester United, Utah Jazz... Muse, Rush, Led Zeppelin...

As far as 'is vs are', I think it would be odd to say something like "Muse are playing in Minneapolis this week." as if Muse was a plural. I would always say "Muse is playing in Minneapolis this week."

Sorry, refereed to as singular or plural. So 'Manchester United are loosing because they play like a bunch of 12 year old girls'. Plural.

JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

We still have no explanation of where the male Iconians are. (No they're not Heralds, that's like comparing humans and trained apes.)

Again.... WHY does there have to be Male Iconians at all?
Because it has already been suggested by a Dev that there are but we haven't seen one yet. Indeed the way it was implied suggested that this absence would have an impact on the plot. Also the clear gender identification of the Iconians we have seen as female (both in language and morphology) implies that there are, or were, Iconians that identified as male.
The devs had lied before.... err.. excuse me.... the devs have "misdirected the topic of conversation" before. Why would this be ANY different?

That's not how I would say that. I would use "is".

Like it was said before, it depends on where you're from UK-plural, US-singular.

    I've got it!

"The Other" is the name of the Iconians' favorite post-punk ska band. We convince The Other to do a cover of "Sugar, Sugar" (by the Archies) and the finale wraps up with a big concert scene.

But with a Herald on trumpet.
