Good to see you Cryptic are willing to push back something rather than rush it out like normal. We have enough bugs and TRIBBLE so it's good to see for once you aren't trying to add to that very long list of problems.

The disappointment..oh the disappointment.. oh the.. ahh to hell with that noise...
Thank you for communicating with us clearly on this. "This" player wants new content to be as trouble and bug free as humanly possible.
Nothing is quite so. "meh" as playing a mission for the first time and running right into a possible show stopper of a bug... And it sound like, readng a little tween the line, that you have just exactly that type of issue your trying to avoid. The reward mechanic revamp does sound marvelous but I can see where it wouldn't necessarily play nice with existing code. And of course if there are any new mechanics in the mission it's self well now.. what a pickle!
Yea, delaying the release until you get the issues addressed is well, seriously.. a no brain-er.
Thank you for doing so.. I can wait another week.. it won't kill me...
I"M DIEING HERE! GIMMIE MY FIX!
Really though, I truly thank you. This player understands.
Could we get a pronunciation on the "House Pegh"
If it sounds remotely like House of Pew, or House of Poo... we Klingon types may have to come and hurt you. Its a warrior thing...don't take it personally. Just don't do it again. *shark like smile*
Good to see you guys are taking time to make sure everything is in ship shape (see what I did there?). Looking forward to seeing the next part of the story progression.
when you guys at cryptic rush content out just to meet deadlines all you get is bugged content and angry players.
Im overjoyed that you guys are taking the extra time to ensure that the new content is fixed and ready thank you cryptic for taking the time to fix the content before releasing it
Thanks for delaying it. Seriously I wish I saw that a bit more often. I'd rather wait a week and have it done right.
I look at it this way: If I was in a restaurant and the waiter said "my order would be up in 5 minutes" but 5 minutes later found out it wasn't fully cooked yet and needed 5 more minutes. I'd prefer he let me know, as I'd gladly wait the extra 5 minutes instead of eating half cooked chicken wings.
Maybe I misunderstood something......something.......dark side.
There is a critical technical issue with the FE that they won't be able to fix by the planned publish date (tomorrow) so they're postponing it until next week.
This doesn't mean that we're not getting the rest of the maintenance patch.
I also applaud the decision to delay the release; not only does it give you a week to finish the bugs, it's nice to have a week "off" to work on whatever I want. I love the increased communication and of course the rewards are always nice. This sounds like a plan to me. I will be sure to play the episode once it's good and finished.
I noticed that one of the new rewards (and an item for "sale" from the whole pearl thing) was a specialization point. I'd like to know more about the future of specialization points in boxes. While it makes a great mission/event reward and I think it's a good idea, I'd be sad to see specialization points sold in the zen store where they wouldn't have to be earned somehow. I hope this isn't *the* fix for XP earning issues and/or alts.
Hmm, shame about the delay, but I would rather have the mission how it was intended rather then rushed. So good on ya Mr. EP, good decision! Honestly since you came in the game has been getting better every day and this is just the latest in a line of choices that make me believe you truly are invested in the success of STO. Also the change to the reward system, excellent way to go.
All in all good choices all around, looking forward to next week even more now
It's always been a cyclic thing when Cryptic openly pushes back content to give it better polish before pushing live. I just wish is wasn't such an event when it does happen. This should be the standard.

Hey guys, its cool what you did was not only responsible but logical in the case of the game and I am glad you told us. 7 days is a small price to pay for new content that is up to standard.
Thanks for the update.
The Iconians can now stop holding their breath, they got lucky......this time.
The Voth however this week are another story, they didn't do so well.
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] "This planet smells, it must be the Klingons"
Wow... actual quality control? We will see if it was worth the delay come next week but i'm not holding my breath. Also, I think it would be wise to change the restrictions to once-per-character-per-week( and rewards would be bound to character). This way you can actually support alts for once.

So whats happening with the current FE, are we getting it extended for a 4th week or will there just be no FE at all this week?
Good things are worth waiting for,
and crappy stuff, no matter have fast its served, is still TRIBBLE.
The disappointment..oh the disappointment.. oh the.. ahh to hell with that noise...

Speaking of which, the blog says no patch at all this week. Does this mean fixes for bugs already in the game are gorn with the wind?
Thanks for delaying the new FE so it can be ironed out a little. My head damn near exploded when I read that.
At the risk of this being a trap, I'll add my approval as well. Absolutely no problem waiting for a quality product.

its better to delay than to release TRIBBLE or half-TRIBBLE ^^

This is being handled perfectly. Got a buggy event, fix it. Already announced it? Be honest and open with your communication, and no problem.
The updated rewards sound good, too. I look forward to hearing more about those next week.
You can find/contact me in game as @PatricianVetinari. Playing STO since Feb 2010.
Thanks for the update.

Enhanced Tech / Spec point is ONE TIME ONLY or ONCE PER WEEK (first three weeks)?
Just so folks don't get the idea that they can play this episode weekly and get one spec point per week forever.

And the upgrade vs spec point is nice.
