Raptor/Destroyer: (as on Chel Grett, Fleet Somraw, Fleet Qin, Adapted destroyer, hazari destroyer, Nicor bioship, ...)
Precise Weapon Systems
Enhanced Weapon Banks
Devastating Weaponry
Enhanced Weapon Systems
Escort: (afaik all FED escorts, JHAS, JHSS, Hunter escort, S'golth, Manasa, Contortrix, Mat'ha raptor, Pilot raptors, ...)
Precise Weapon Systems
Tactical Maneuvering
Enhanced Weapon Systems
Devastating Weaponry
Raider: (Aquarius, KDF BoPs, Kazon raider, Plesh Brek, ...)
Precise Weapon Systems
Tactical Maneuvering
Enhanced Weapon Systems (Actually, they get Devastating Weaponry)
Enhanced Weapon Banks
In red, there are bugs, inconsistencies. raiders currently get +2,5% CritH instead of +10% to energy/kinetic damage and the new T6 raptors somehow got escort mastery packages.
The non-warbird tactical command ship starship masteries are:
Escorts and Raptors
-Precise Weapon Systems (+Acc)
-Tactical Maneuvering (+Def)
-Enhanced Weapon Systems (+Dmg)
-Devastating Weaponry (+Crit Chance)
Escort Carriers
-Precise Weapon Systems (+Acc)
-Tactical Maneuvering (+Def)
-Quick Deployment (-Hangar Pet Recharge Time)
-Devastating Weaponry (+Crit Chance)
Destroyers and Warships
-Precise Weapon Systems (+Acc)
-Enhanced Weapon Banks (+Crit Severity)
-Devastating Weaponry (+Crit Chance)
-Enhanced Weapon Systems (+Dmg)
Raider
-Precise Weapon Systems (+Acc)
-Tactical Maneuvering (+Def)
-Enhanced Weapon Systems (+Dmg)
-Enhanced Weapon Banks (+Crit Severity)
The Klingon and Starfleet Pilot ships both have the Escort/Raptor starship mastery package.
Do those ships have any disadvantge against non pilot ships ans a tradeoff for their inate abilities?
And i just mean the inate ones from the starship. If you use pilot skills in the boff stations you pay with a slot for it, so you can`t slot anything else.
But looking at the overal stats and compare it to non pilot ships they really should have an disadvantage in some other area, to pay for the inate abilities. Basically like they made rommy ships pay with less energy for their singularity abilities.
Since these are 3-packs of variations on the same ship, they are released at "Fleet-level" or "Fleet-equivalent"... however they phrase it. Just as the Oddy/Andy/Vesta packs come default at T5-10, and the Command pack comes default at T6-11, these are on designed to be par with say a Fleet T6-11 Phantom. Stripped down to bare stats the Phantom trades some hull for an integrated cloak (one of the first for the Federation), improved speed/maneuverability, and Intel's Active Sensor Arrays mechanic.
The Pilot ships trade even more hull for even more speed/maneuverability, a 5/2 layout (they're dogfighters, so nose guns), and the Piloting Maneuvers mechanic. From that baseline for the Federation Escorts, the Raptors get a tad more hull and cloak, but a tad less shielding and much higher crew; the Warbirds are instead adjusted with both a Romulan battle cloak and the Singularity mechanic, but have tad less hull and shields, and a tad more crew. The Federation Escorts do come with a slightly higher Shield Modifier than one would expect, though (1.05 rather than .99).
Then again, that's based on Dev Blog stats; we'll all get a chance to see in-game stats shortly.
With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.
will somebody tell me why you developing new ships, but not improving gameplay instead?
you doing nothing but abusing Star Trek trademark name.
We love ST , not your stupid game or stupid ships.
You do realize you can quit playing if you're too stuck up on nostalgia and want a static and unchanging game, right?
There's plenty of old ST games that are still pretty fun if you don't mind dated graphics, as well as a major ST overhaul mod for SINS:Rebellion.
I personally like the new ships and new capabilities (I prefer variety over stale gameplay; though I do admit that some of them should leak back down; Pilot Maneuvers to all shuttles as standard at least, with non-Pilot Escorts maybe just getting either the double-tap forward acceleration or barrel roll Maneuver, and just the Command Inspiration Defense boost to all cruisers with a Command Hybrid seat).
As well, if they didn't want to stick to Star Trek, they wouldn't have needed to keep to specific design themes. But they still do. And on top of that, if they didn't give a damn, they wouldn't have put memorials or work on getting some of the original VAs to do voice-acting in this game. It may not be much, but they could have outright ignored it all and just straight up create a semi-original game under the ST brand.
LMAOOOOO ahh man this game is so out of control is amazing, instead of fixing the 24k bugs the game has..the exp nerfs keep coming thanks for making the game more enjoyable and fun to play.cheers
Nice lookin new ships. Pretty much what I expected. Unlikely to buy'em, though. Price is too high imo, and I'm too happy with my current ship to blow money on these.
really, how hard would this be to pass along to all escorts, I KNOW I KNOW money comes first, gotta get PAID- and I .. WE .. ALL understand that
but please guys, consider passing this "concept" over to ALL scorts, they need love-
I AM against seeing immunity- ITS unnecessary
really, its unnecessary
the repositioning of the ship is huge enough
I am TOTALLY ok/cool with losing TARGET lock, LIKE THAT ALONE is huge, immunity? all immunity does is delay/drag out what already WILL happen, or COULD HAVE happened at that moment...
5v5s, the premades will still eat through the noobs that got this ship, so your not giving them any real advantage,
the 5v5s solo/dual pug cues.. those boys, good lord those poor, poor boys are walking into a mess
its going to be stardagger meta for pvp here real quick LOL
If money is the issue for cryptic on putting that on all escorts, then why not an upgrade token like the T5U for 500 to 1000 zen, hell id pay 1000 zen for that on my phantom
KDF Klavek definitely has SR-71 Blackbird written all over that. I would love to see that thing flying at Warp 14! Out of the 9 ships I like that one the best.
FED Icarus looks pretty sweet. But there is something about the Mercury. Maybe the rustic/scrapped up look? OMG, it almost reminds me of some ships from that other major space franchise (...SW...) Man, did I really just post that?!?
ROM Jaeih seems the best out of the 3. If those 3 outer wing "fins" would sweep back at full impulse to streamline it, it would make it somewhat like a B1B Bomber. That would be pretty cool.
The Microprojectile Barrage Launcher just sounds fun! No targeting and it slightly repels/turns targets that are hit. I'll have to play with that one!

Better... make a T6 Upgrade token for T4 and T5/T5U ships. Hell, I'd blow $30 to make my Tal Shiar Adapted Destroyer into a T6 in a heartbeat.
Neither the Microprojectile Barrage Launcher nor the Stay on Target trait benefit from Kemocite Laced Weaponry buff.

So, based on those... the Microprojectile Barrage Launcher is considered a torpedo for purposes of Starship Traits, but not Torpedo attack modifier boff abilities; and Stay on Target is not considered a Torpedo for purposes of either?
What about doffs?
Oh, and Enhanced Battle Cloak for Stay on Target? (Since the Microprojectile Barrage Launcher is ship specific, I know the answer to that one )

Our pilot ships are now live and available in the C-store! Weeee!
But my launcher is dead since two days!
wee... eee... Well there's not much to be happy about.
I need to get to him. I can't just leave him out there alone. - Sometimes you've got to makes sacrifices, Lara. You can't save everyone. - I know about sacrifices. - No, you know about loss. Sacrifice is a choice you make. Loss is a choice made for you. - I can't choose to let him die, Roth.

Is there going to be a discount/bonus Zen going along with the release of these ships like there was with the Pathfinder and Command Ship bundles?
Edit: For clarity, I don't mean the 20% off ships other than Pilot ships. I mean like they get a discount as both the previous items did.
Looks like a "Nope". C-Store shows full price (12K Zen), which is really too bad. I'd set aside 10K Zen for these, anticipating something comparable to the Command Ship introduction since they did the same "3 packs of faction 3-packs" thing. That looks like a no-go, so I guess I'll just sell my Zen back at a profit to those trying to catch the other ships or some Fleet Ship Modules on sale. :P
I'll probably pick up the Mat'Ha, since it gives me some way to make use of Science on a KDF character, but ahem... 10000 Zen>2400 Zen.

Guys if you make up a Starfleet ship from Scratch, at least try to keep it looking like one. Those things can be Breen or Klingon or whatever. But Wings on a ship?
If you're talking "Pilot Ship" so that it can be multi-environment capable (atmosphere, space, fluidic space), one of the Klingon ships nails it. The others... there is so much wrong w/ the flight dynamics that a first year aerospace engineering student will rip it apart.
With that said, it's a huge improvement over previous projects, and I'd say, "good job".

Yeah, that sucks. After seeing the Gifs, I was tempted to splurge. But since there's no discount, thus no incentive to buy now, I'll wait until there's a Zen sale or the ships themselves go in a future ship sale.

So this is less a Hot Rod and more a Rodimus Prime?

But, you know, lolFAW.
Darn. I will have to leave work early to get my hands on the KDF package:)
Great news! 5 hours before I can get home and get my hands on them...

Fleet Defiant Kinetic Heavy Fire Support | Fleet Manticore Kinetic Strike Ship | Tactical Command Kinetic Siege Refit | Fleet Defiant Quantum Phase Escort | Fleet Valiant Kinetic Heavy Fire Support
Turning the Galaxy-X into a Torpedo Dreadnought & torpedo tutorial, with written torpedo guide.
"A good weapon and a great strategy will win you many battles." - Marshall
I knew using Kinetics would be playing the game on hard mode, but what I didn't realize was how bad the deck is stacked against Kinetics.
Numbers... it all comes down to numbers.... either ridiculously large numbers, or a major change to mechanics for cannons & torpedoes.

They wouldn't be designed for aerodynamics. They're building space ships, not atmospheric craft.
There's plenty of things you could include on wings...like, you know...weapon hardpoints, heat sinks, auxiliary systems...
