Good news! Convergence is in its final stages. I'm finishing off the ground portions and it will be done by soonish.

Ps. Starfarertheta? Would you be at all interested in throwing me a mission banner together using the ico designs of yours?
I make all my banners SBUGC-size, lanscape, at 600x150 or an upscaled version of that that i can downscale later. Not sure on a background image at the mo. Still only sbout a third done. It's Kdf if that effects style.
Let me know if you are interested, cheers.

Sure, just put up a pic of your choice and I can get to work.

For everyone else who may want an Anthology banner in the future, I've got some good news and bad news. Bad news is that real life has decided it wants me to be busy for the foreseeable future, so any involvement in this project from me will be sporadic for some time.

Good news is that I've created a transparent file for the Iconian War Anthology signature that should be usable in either photoshop or GIMP. It should make it a little easier for anyone who wants to continue making these posters in my absence.

In case anyone doesn't know: the Iconans are now available as contacts in the foundry- including the named ones.
Why do I still play and put money into STO?

So, i was browsing through your mission list and got in the mood to try some of those out. Unfortunately, I can't find any of them except "Rise of Mol'Rihan" ingame...
Tried searching for titles, the [ico] tag, author names, everything...

Is your character a level 60?

Well, sorry Starfarertheta. Those links are dead and it is time to publish the mission. I will have to throw a banner together myself for the time being. Thanks, though. Personally i recommend imgur for pics. They seem to stay stable.

@johnnysnowball, Gah, looks like I've just defined the term "******* up." :disappointed: I'm really sorry this has happened and I have no real good excuse for allowing it to happen.

I still want to give you the poster I made since I thought it was one of my better ones. I really hope you like it despite the late arrival.

Ok, so some have you may have seen the thread regarding my "patrol" series. I would just like to add the prototype to the Anthology. Details are as follows:

    Name: [Ico] Iconian War: Xarantine
    Author: @rogue6800
    Faction: Starfleet
    Rank: Lvl 61+
    ID: ST-HJ8U2BN6Z
    Description:

As the Iconian War rages, the Herald attack targets throughout the Alpha and Beta quadrants. Starfleet has issued a new mission to every armed Starfleet vessel:

"Defend allied space, at all costs"

The Xarantine system is full of protomatter nebulas and the Iconians are attempting to annex that space. Engage the enemy.

That's awesome. I wish they allowed us to edit our previous posts. I'll throw it up in my mission thread and use it for future posts of it. Thank you, man!

Editing back. Previous posts edited. New banner installed.

She isn't, actually. I managed to find the missions on my lvl 60 characters.

Playing through Trouble in Paradise now, and really loving it so far (no surprise there)... but I had a (probably dumb) question, just about a bit of dialogue.
When Drake is laying out his plan, he (sort of) brings up events from "Captain's Holiday." The PC responds at one point, "Kal...Dano... I see what you did there." Unfortunately, I don't see, beyond the reference to TNG. I don't get the joke, and I feel like I'm missing something obvious. What's the name supposed to be a reference to? Or what am "I" talking about at this point?

    Am I just totally dense?

A bit of feedback on [ico]Fall of the Fek'lhri, since the ingame review form doesn't alow longer reviews.
It's got potential but right now it's not that good. I like the premise. I like the writing, I like getting to walk in liquid Methane. I do not like getting told i need EV suits when I've already gone through three maps.
This needs to be emphazised in the mission description. I had to interrupt the mission in order to double back to Qo'Nos to get some EV suits for me and my crew.
The final bossfight against the Harbinger is an absolute nightmare. The room the fight takes place in literally the worst kind of room you could chose for fighting a Harbinger. My boffs constantly fall of ledges, I get blasted off by the Harbinger's aoe blast and I can't even avoid it because there is no room to dodge.
After 20 minutes of wiping to that thing, the Harbinger somehow fell off the plattform himself. I put on EV suits again and finished him off down on the toxic floor. I don't think that's the intened way to defeat him, though.
This entire fight needs to be changed.

The name "Kal Dano" turns out to be a conflation of the names of Drake's two assistants in this mission, Kalinak and Danozeb.

Just published my last anthology entry for those who liked my work.

[Ico] Paths of War begins at Vulcan.

Called to Vulcan after the Death of M’Tara, and the recent failure of the Krenim weapon, the Alliance has been informed that their ally the Romulan Star Union has fallen under heavy attack, has recalled a large portion of their fleets. The Alliance has one last secret up it’s sleeve- one last weapon that may be able to turn the tide, against the Iconians.

I'm currently working on a mission related to the Iconians. The working title is "Refuge", and it'll be available for both KDF and Fed side Romulans.

    ___
    ETA: Not working. Done. ;)

    Name: [Rom] [Ico] Refuge
    Starting Location: Aelas System, BQ
    Level: 61+
    Faction: Rom-Fed
    Author: guljarol
    Code: ST-HUR9NLBOH

    Name: [Rom] [Ico] Refuge KDF
    Starting Location: Aelas System, BQ
    Level: 61+
    Faction: Rom-KDF
    Author: guljarol
    Code: ST-HFJY7RQ2N

Note: It's the same mission imported to the KDF side, so that all Romulans can play. It's intended for Romulan Republic characters.

    Runs approx. 30-45 min.

Hi guys, can you tell me how to access those missions. Is there a list of the ones that are done, and their chronological order perhaps. I played one on Mol Rihan.

Here is the Master List: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1vYhoZE1B6Is-xouPt_Fkhz76Wo-dz8rOotTBdMz3mXM/edit?usp=sharing

And here is a quick glance list, just names and start locations: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1pH3dcI4rTZ18iBIzSUAnqIaTC-USnPbmJ5hg7sHXFAo/edit?usp=sharing

Keep in mind that the Foundry is in the middle of a standard downtime and auto-republish accompanying Season 11, so many of these missions may not be back yet. If you do play some and notice any problems, please send the author an in-game mail rather than leaving a review. Thanks for your interest!

Oh, that was fast! Thank you. I am definitely looking forward to all of them. One more thing. As I am avid RPG player, and immersion fan, I am playing my character as a real person, and writing AAR after every mission, creating a story from STO (including foundry missions that I do like). Is there any way that you include Cryptic official Iconian mission between those in the foundry, for the immersion value, and the chronological overview?

Also, it would be cool if someone would make a map with conflict zones highlighted for all the missions...that would really give us a real sense of the carnage and disaster such as Iconian Wars have been for the Alliance...

That's a great idea! I'd need a better photo editor to make it myself though.

Looking forward... and also what about chronological order for the beginning (with official missions in)
  • drogyn1701drogyn1701 Member Posts: 3,606 Media Corps
There's no set timeline, aside from some of the authors who have multiple missions, those are most likely in order on the master list. But you can safely bet that they all mostly take place between "Blood of the Ancients" and "Midnight"

As for a map, I had intended to do something like that, and upload it to a website, I just haven't had the time. I was going to use this map, made by Suricata, and with his permission, as a base.

To a website? Can you give a link for it? And I was asking about the timeline, in the case that authors do reference events of one mission in another? Mol Rihan is one of offenders here ;)
