Yer just falling for Nabreeki's standard dose of trolling.
Why people keep feeding it, I'll never know.
Either way, I wouldn't mind seeing Cait and Ferasa eventually being added to sector space and made accessible, even as Foundry mission entry points, as long as we get a handful of other homeworlds as well (Gornar, Nausicaa, Ter'jas Mor etc.). The more planets, the better.

That's right. Take a stand. Let's get all the remaining Devs on this stupid project to make a handful of cat fans happy.
More devs making Cat-Planet = LESS devs making 'Season whatever species whatever overbuff cruisers with insta-death cannon with uber bugs to try and give the lvl 60 epic xiv loadout mega cruiser pvp people somnething to log in for when there's no noobs to dps-vaporate"
Sounds like a good plan to me, though personally I'd think a Caitian's home is their Caitian Carrier, parked in orbit over a randomly selected sandbox planet...

While STO uses Caitians, they're only kinda-sorta canon, invented by the Star Trek animated show as a counterpart to Larry Niven's Kzinti, which they only got on loan. I don't think 15 Lyncis is on the map anywhere, so no Cait.
Cait was a founding member of the Federation...What do you mean sorta canon
More like Hard Canon
Jellico....Engineer ground.....Da'val Romulan space Sci
Saphire.. Science ground......Ko'el Romulan space Tac
Leva........Tactical ground.....Koj Romulan space Eng
JJ-Verse will never be Canon or considered Lore...It will always be JJ-Verse

This was actually specifically addressed in a dev FAQ. They even namechecked Cait. Short version: The new systems they added are basically non-functional backfill and they couldn't just add every system. The other thing is, where do we stop? Shall we now add every minor star in Star Trek? Benzar, maybe? Berengaria VII? Farius and Galador? Tau Ceti? Every star in the Gliese catalogue?
I just don't get why Cait deserves special treatment just because some cat people live on it.

Oh, I know. I read the FAQ. There's still a chance that they could eventually be added down the line. The game universe is, after all, ever expanding and I prefer to remain optimistic. And even if they don't get added, there's always the Foundry.
Regarding Cait though... The Caitians are a decently popular species, both in-game, and amongst other Trek fans. I don't blame folks for wanting to be able to visit their homeworld.

Remains of their homeworld.... Iconian lady blew it up.
Cait was not a founding member of the Federation. The founding members of the Federation are Terra, Vulcan, Andor and Tellar.
But... you... got your answer... and... the planet you want is... not in this part of space. So...?
Honestly, this is the astrometric equivalent of asking for the T5 Connie.

Equivalent of a T5 Connie lol? No, that is a terrible comparison. A outdated starship having the powers of a more modern ship makes no sense. Adding planets makes sense.

The planets that are currently out of place are largely that way because they have content tied to them or are so close to the current border that it doesn't strain disbelief to put them in. Cait has no content tied to it and it's 80 light years south of the game border.

I'd actually argue that Caitians aren't really that prominent considering we only see M'ress and an admiral in the background.
They're about as prominent as the Kasheeta and Ariolo, in other words.
I'm speaking more from a Beta Canon standpoint. It's true that their appearances in the shows/movies are limited, but they appear relatively often in novels, comics and even a game or two, excluding STO.
Either way, my point is, they're not founding members of the Federation, and I've got no idea how people even think that they are.
That said, I still find it surprising that Cryptic decided to add a Caitian ship before a Tellarite one. Nothing against the Atrox, but a Tellarite Cruiser would've made a nice final addition to the "founder trio", along with the D'kyr and Kumari.

The Caitian Doff Chain mentions "Caitian Diaspora"...
So...
*somewhere in the Dyson Sphere*
Catian Captain walks into the ground battle zone HQ, sets up a small flag on a pole and announces...
"I claim this territory on behalf of the Catpeople Alliance! City Zone for the Sophisti-Cats, Outskirts for the Feral-Cats, and Park for the Wild-Cats, all with plenty of scaly play toys to pass the time between naps and tuna... Make it so! RAWR!"

Enough with cats please...how about a planet for DOGS instead
The Dog planet became uninhabitable couple of centuries back, due to the enviornmental disasters from all the un-recycled pooper scoopers

700 episodes across 30 seasons and 5 series. Not a single appearance.
It's alien-of-the-week stuff. But somehow, these aliens are not like the others...
Bear in mind that for most of the weekly episodes, 'aliens' were pretty much limited to "paint some extra a funny color and stick a few cheap rubber casts on their head some place" makeups because there was no budget for fancy total-cgi non humanoids, or elaborate limb prosthetics etc.
Hence a whole universe filled with standard human sized human shaped humans-sprayed-with-food-colouring-with-pasties-glued-to-the-face aliens.

RACE WAR!!! The Caitian-Ferasan Race War has begun.
Everyone without enhanced strength and leaping abilities needs to duck and cover!
(Didn't think it'd start over Felinoid fur color, would've thought it'd be the Talaxians who kicked it off.)
The planets that are currently out of place are largely that way because they have content tied to them or are so close to the current border that it doesn't strain disbelief to put them in. Cait has no content tied to it and it's 80 light years south of the game border.

Even the fanged Mexican food knows!
Caitians, while prominent members of the Federation, aren't founding members. They didn't join until sometime after 2249.

I mean if the Ferengi can demand latinum to protect their world, why can't the Felinoids squabble until it gets annihilated?
A tragic casualty of war...

Per memory alpha they are a member of the federation but not a founding member.
