are you using the workaround for you patching?

you right click your launcher shortcut and select properties, then amend your 'target location' with the following..

    -patchserver patchserverrebirth.crypticstudios.com

would then look like something similar too..

    "E:\Steam\steamapps\common\star trek online\Star Trek Online.exe" -patchserver patchserverrebirth.crypticstudios.com

depending on where you shortcut points too

Just make sure you undo it when it comes time to patch Holodeck.

LOL. Srsly, who would want to play on holodeck in it's current post DR state if you can have an awesome game on redshirt instead

I haven't logged into holodeck for a long time and that won't change until they remove all content since S9.5.

i hope that they will leave Redshirt as it is currently and that they dont remove redshirt. it will be FUN playing the Old STO as it was before...

It is tremendous fun. If they don't leave it up, I'm going to be sad.

I have just started playing this and it's actually amazing.
It's pretty fun and it's nice to see exploration back.

I joined shortly before Season 8 so I never got to see STO like this.

ahhh.. that proper sux dude, hopefully they will keep redshirt up for a while though, id have thought folks playing rebirth would be a good way of easing the initial server strain when they launch Delta Recruits this avo.

    Aaaand now it's down. :/

Hoping this just means that it's down while Cryptic patches Holodeck, not that it's gone forever.

it went down with he main servers for scheduled maintenance so we can hope it will come back timer would have been nice probably didnt have it because of the chat system being non functional. now we can only hope that they note the positive response they got and either keep it around..... or do this again (to be fair right as they kick off delta recruitment might be a bad time for all of us to be swanning off playing the retro game :D ) i got cut off in starbase 24 which was a little less stellar than i remembered but good to see again

Star Trek Online has brought us intense pride! Over the course of its run, we've made leaps and bounds! Today however we put to rest this glorious and sparkling pony! Holodeck is going to be retired. But wait! There's more! We are proud to announce our latest and arguably greatest project to date

redshirt is completely gone from my server list... again... on both launchers i felt curious so i went to check on it.... i would call that the most... convincing proof this probably is over for now at least we can hope they will hear us and bring this back again for more than a day but lets face it it was a little much to hope they would leave this up to entice us at the same time they launch what amounts to a major event.

Lets do this again sooner rather than later please and give us at least a week!

I haven't had this much fun in STO in years as I had in the 30 minutes that I spent in Rebirth between finally completing patching and the server going down again.

Cryptic, please make a true S1.2 shard a reality. I want to play again the STO that I love. RA5/BG5 forever!

Bath me in Chronotron Particles, baby. I'm ready to go back to a time in STO history that I never knew.

Or as Liz Lemon might sigh, "I want to go to there."

But seriously :: points :: Bags packed.

    Retiring the main holodeck server?

    A) If this is a joke, I'm trying to find the humor in it.
    B) If it's real, well, all things must come to an end and I'm moving on. There are people who have invested five years playing on the server. I guess this doesn't mean a thing. Personally, I feel that this is not moving forward, but a waste of money that I spent looking to have a good time.
