Star Trek has been and always will be about Exploration, seeking out strange new worlds etc. etc. and that is one of the main things that this game has lacked from the start. So yea, more Exploration please and thank you!
I just want more Episodes becasue no one explored anything in Star Trek ever, not once did we see any episode about exploring, 40 mins of nothing trying to kill our heroes, so to me exploration is not Trek, but the adventures were.
but that's just me.
"So why are we out here chasing comets?"
Exploration was the excuse to get shot at, shoot things, and have Kirk get freaky with green women. All exploration with none of the other stuff would've killed Star Trek quick-like. And this game wouldn't exist.
I'd go for addressing the state of the game including General balance issues and bug fixes. Adding new content won't fix the state of the game.
Since that's not an option I'd struggle between exp missions and episodes but depending on the implementation I think exploration might be best for th pe reason that despite doing some fine episodes from a business and player point of view they tend to be more one shot hits as players enjoy them but move on to content that fulfills the grind of endgame.
Exploration missions could be an open door to non combat content and allow Sci and eng and even tax probably to explore their own unique approaches.
But my original vote stands, sort out the fact as it stands otherwise the same fundamental problems remain.
Exploration and discovery: the core of Star Trek. Yet it's almost completely absent from Star Trek Online. In addition to exploration missions, resource harvesting needs to increase with rank, or some other skill. If I've been scanning resources since I was a lieutenant, it makes sense that I'd be better at it as an admiral. So why do I get the same paltry amounts that green lieutenants get? It also makes sense for me to get more out of the scans, both because I'm a more experienced officer, and because higher ranked R&D requires harder-to-find materials.
My vote goes to Exploration Missions (Foundry being a close second).
Why? First of all, nothing says "Trek" like boldly going where a dozen other ships/away teams aren't also going at the same time. I understand that getting it right is difficult, but I also believe randomly generated, modular missions would add a lot of replay value to the game. The old system was bad, because it churned out silliness such as the Third Borg Empire. Making something similar but more polished and engaging would be just the thing needed at this point.
While I do realize this is a multiplayer game, the addition of repeatable, interesting and reasonably rewarding singleplayer content can only be beneficial. The queues are in a bad place right now: NPC HP bloat and mandatory non-optionals (often very susceptible to trolls giving everyone a fail and a cooldown) together make random groups unappealing. Exploration might be a good way to balance this out.
Exploration, hands down. There's nothing else I want more.
It was one of the promised features that brought me to STO in the first place. Specifically, comments made by Zinc back in the day.
Craig "Zinc" Zinkievich (executive producer): Exploration will never take a backseat in Star Trek Online. Heck in all the series, Starfleet is always sending captains off to chart new systems or classify nebulas. So we don't view exploration as a "break" from other gameplay it's integral. Expect to be encouraged to boldly go! And as an incentive to explore space, discovering new civilizations is one of the major ways to open up new resources and equipment and make new alien recruits available to you, your fleet and your faction!
The problem is, we all know how exploration turned out in the end.
I know that this game has been through a lot over the years. We've had devs and EPs come and go. We had Atari come and go and take the cups in the kitchen with them when they left. We had the old "exploration" clusters removed and were left with nothing even close to resembling exploration in this game. But that's all in the past. We have a chance to finally, finally make it a reality.
I love PvPing - sadly it often takes AGES to start a game.
balancing....sometimes I get trashed and have no chance, other times I hardly get under 90% hull. It isn't balancing that's wrong. Sometimes you'Re up against extremely good players other times against poor players.
But then again: PvPing doesn't help you get rich or level your toons. So most players don't see a reason to PvP.
Better rewards = more PvPers. And THEN you can start selecting by certain criteria. Now I am happy to get a game going.

Vote for PvP guys!!!
Voting PvP means fixing bugs, means an healthier community, means more fun for everybody. DO IT do it do it do it do it
:P
do not assume this, it's just wishful thinking. If they meant bug fixes they'd say so.
Assume it to be more modes like capture the flag, more maps like that facility one they never made but I'd put balance and bug fixing way at the bottom of the pop agenda if at all. I'll be the first to be pro fixing but knowing cryptic I'd assume my opinion is more likely unfortunately. They will add more pvp instead of fixing what's there and then wonder why it's failing to work.
I feel that PvP do need more attention... years of PvP being ignored by Cryptic has toke its toll on the PvP Community and something fresh for our community is a must to keep our player entertained and to bring back ppl and prevent ppl from leaving which i know alot of good players left because Cryptic have done nothing for PvP in STO.
as for more Episodes, not sure why this has to be on the vote list since it's one of the few things that is always updated, even if episodes hit last place of this vote they will still be updated unlike PvP, Fleet or Foundry.
1) The Cardassian faction: Use the Romulans as the template; choose a side, etc.
2) NEW Races:
Federation: Deltan, Denobulan, Ocampa, Efrosian, Edo, Xindi
Klingons: Kazon, Chalnoth
Romulans: Hirogen, Suliban
Cardassian: Bajoran, Breen
Universal: Boslic, Yridian, Dopterian
3) Tier 6 shuttle: The Jellyfish (from the Star Trek reboot film)
4) VEHICLES: Either an Argo type land rover, or a 1-man hover vehicle
5) Make all Bridges available for all ships (of the same faction)
6) Escorts that are as big as cruisers
7) More Episodes (No one really cares about the Foundry or PVP; its the truth no matter what their supporters say)
8) Get rid of the 8000 a day dilithium refining cap (that's just stupid)
9) Unlock the tailor for unique BOFFS of all factions!
10) Something other than Breen ships for Winter Wonderland (Andorian perhaps)
I am with more episodes/ revamp Cardassian/ Dominion story line and new Faction as stated above. The #8 will never change so mark that one DOA. #6 Escorts turn faster so smaller lol. #9 not sure about tailor for unique Boffs. PPL make pink Breen? Andorian winter ships sure why not. lol.
While I chose "Fleet Functionality", I believe a lot of these have merit.
#1: I think you really need to focus on bug control. Almost every major update over the past year has created one or several exceptionally irritating bugs. I understand that you're owned by a company that feels the compulsion to make money, but there is a lack of understanding of what the player base is going through. Maybe the developers feel it too, but I'd be happier waiting two years for a major update with fifty new ships, species, etc than every two months having a new ship and breaking everything you've fixed.
#2: Like a lot of people have said, PVP needs a huge re-balance for rewards and playability.
#3: There must be something done to address the issue of gaining XP in this game. The fastest method is the most tedious method. It takes two and a half hours to grind a level in Argala, seventy-five minutes if we're lucky on Bonus XP weekends. Sit down, have a discussion about XP and what needs to be done to create a healthy balance between effort and reward. Right now, there isn't enough.
#4: I know the "apology" has been given for the Dilithium removal announcement, but there were many of us that worked towards that event with all the grind in the last seven months in mind. Would it hurt you that much to put it back in or increase rewards in other areas? The problem is nearly as bad as our XP issue.
As for my original answer, Fleet Functionality, I'd like to find more ways to get buff provisioning in the amount to keep the fleet afloat. It may just be fleet priorities, but I find a lot of fleets have no buff provisioning, but keep slotting ships. Maybe a passive that happens when your team consists of more fleet members than not? I dunno, throwing out ideas here.
If its working in the players favour - "This isn't working as intended. We're going to remove this from the game. You're not playing as we intended." If its working in the games favour - "We have too much on our plate to fix this/Working as intended."
Ultimately, I'm a Single Player, so I voted more episodes.
I don't like PvP or PvE, since I seem to have the bad luck of always ending up with "elites" who have no interest in helping a guy learn what to do. There used to be a lot of helpers. A few of the older Borg PvE's became quite fun... once a few kind souls walked me through a couple of times.
By contrast, with episodes (and exploration missions), a player isn't forced into a team, which is ideal for those of us who just want to immerse ourselves in the universe without all the social components.
I know a lot of people will say that the social component is what makes the game fun, but while that may be true for them, it isn't for me.
I voted for PvP, not because I want more queues (what does that mean exactly?), but because I want to show that there are indeed PvPers still here wanting a fix to the mess that has become PvP.
Until PvP is fixed, I have little to no interest in anything about this game.

Exploration and Foundry.
Exploration is the founding principle for Star Trek: To search out new worlds and new civilizations. To boldly go where no one has gone before!
On a game map that takes 15 minutes to completely go through. Where are you supposed to go here? Wake up STO isn't as big as the galaxy.
To have exploration they're going to randomly generate races as they are millions waiting to be found. This means not hand-crafted content, means low quality.
And if they made them in limited number, that'd be a major fail.
To be honest, I'd like to rank it in terms of numbers too, in which case it'd look like this for me:
1. Exploration
2. Foundry (linking it with the exploration perhaps)
3. More Episodes
4. PVP (Needs complete re-balance)
5. More fleet Functionality
To be honest, I can't see why you can't nail the top three there in one go Cryptic.
In regards to exploration, I would not enjoy a revamp of the exploration clusters. They were imfao damn horrible, just more grinding with R&D at the core. Reintroducing them simply with more isolated missions with R&D at their centre would leave it broken. Rather it needs to be a defining point, as it was with the TV series, in STO.
Perhaps you could add transwarp gates to unexplored sectors, like actual sectors. Rather than have isolated missions that leave you underwhelmed, there could be a mini storyline involved with the critical theme being exploration, so new life & new civilisations & whatnot. Foundry could get an update so as to include selected spotlight missions in these sectors, meaning half the tar systems involves a unified or semi-unified exploration storyline, the other half dedicated to providing missions from foundry.
Suddenly, there you have it, that's the top three knocked off...

A brand new T4 template ship vanilla PvP queue where...
... all traits are disabled
... all rep is disabled
... all gear is automatically set to blue mk xi
... all spec trees are disabled
... all doffs are disabled
Let me have my doffs, but disable their traits, and I'd play that. (Give us options for T2-4 would be cool, too.)
1. a whole Season dedicated to bug fixes, stability fixes and limiting the grinding.
2. put back the trek in star trek and give us exploration again.
3. more missions like the featured episode series you used to have.
4. more fleet functionality.
For whatever reason this site won't let me take the poll, but I'm gratified to see my choice is on top. Exploration is the core of trek, and Id love to see it implemented- even if its just like the "patrol" missions, only more encompassing. Seems like those of us who picked science as our career path at this point only have use of those abilities in combat (with a few mission specific exceptions) But Ive often wondered- since when did ship combat become the core of what Trek is about, because last I checked, it wasn't. I'd also love an option to not completely destroy enemy ships in missions- just disable them. How many times in the different shows did our heroes disable an enemy before moving on? In this game disabling ships is relegated to when the game has a specific reason to do so, instead of because you (the player) happen to like compassion- even towards fictional enemies.
When in doubt, FIRE EVERYTHING!!! (It's the STO way to handle a problem)

With the state you've also left the Romulan Republic in, I never want to see a Cardassian faction. I'll just make that loud and clear.
