This is such a Joke, until the Last Maintenance it was Working again, my Boff Powers were not Reseting, but with the Last Maintenance they totaly Broke the WHOLE System again! Iam so FRIGGIN Tired of Setting up my Boff Powers, cause 1 Minute Later they will Just Reset, i dont even have to Switch to another Map, i could Set it Up, Just stand where iam and BAM a Minute Later all Boff Powers will Reset! What Kind of Quality Testing is this???? WHY is everything Rushed to the Live Server without Testing?! WHY are the SAME EXACT Bugs comming Back AGAIN AND AGAIN after they have been Fixed?! THIS IS NOT FUNNY ANYMORE!!!!!!!! :mad::mad::mad:
It has been frustrating for me as well. I cannot figure out why sometimes the system remembers the changes and sometimes it does not. What about just implementing a system like you current use for ship loadouts that works for all the BOFF powers. That way, if they do reset, it is just one click to return them to normal.
Update: If I set up my ground BOFF powers, then open the Character Status window and click through all my BOFFs in the left-hand column, all the BOFF powers reset to default. Really?!?!
Just to reconfirm, despite the patch on April 7th, my bridge officers are still having their ground abilities sometimes reset to default. They'll keep their assigned skills for one mission, then on the next my engineer is back to dropping cover shields in my face.

Yep my 2 Engis (on all my Characters that have 2 Engis on Ground) also Smash those Cover Shields in my Face.......together with all the other Reseted Powers :mad:
Can't craft Training Manual for Engineering Team III. There are six Skill points assigned to Repairs, but the Training Manual doesn't show up. I have tried doing a respect which did not work. All tickets sent in just a waist of time. Did some searching around this is an old bug that still not fixed. I found one person that fix the problem but the delete the toon and recreated it. Not an option imo. Anybody know any solution or know when they are going to fix this.
Why don't we have a chance to heal our captain character's on our ships, on my main it's a lvl 4 in medical but i can't heal my captain or my bridge crew on my ship, with that conseal on in my character captain's room can only be ably-ed by just one episode why is that. It's should be aplyed to r and d or something. When is the briefing room on ship going to commence as well. Please another thing my new ship abilities don't not work as well. I like playing STO but the overall lag throughout the game is getting to much eg in isa and other stf's, my weapon are not firing when i press all weapons. when i go up to a planet on the new map i have to go pass it to get the icon to show up. I'm just pointing out some possible bugs in the game, hope i was some help.
After purchase of a Tac/Intel BOff his 4th ground skill does not show at all, just like a Lt Cmd/Subcommander's skills in the old system. Promotion to Cmd did not change anything (not that I thought it would).
Purchasing a level III Intel skill from the vendor I found out I'm unable to use it, as double clicking only tells me that I cannot equip that and in the Skill GUI I cannot train my BOff since I can't click a Cmd lvl Ground Skill where no Skill shows up.
I trained all my BOffs in all their respective Career skills so I could plug and play on the go, but the away team skills keep switching back to a set pattern Tactical officers revert to Draw Fire I, II, III, and Ambush I, Science Officers revert to Dylovine I, II, III and Anesthizine Gas I, and Engineers revert to Chroniton Mine Barrier I, II, Cover Shield I, and Combat Supply I. Kind of like the alphabetzing of the bridge officers that defaults to putting the away team at the top, this skill defaulting takes time to put back in order.
This is probably one of the most frustrating bugs in the game at the moment since it requires a complete rework of active ground boff skills on a very frequent basis

As above (westmetals post), changes occur to my sci boff's ground abilities but also to my engineer boff also. Happens anytime I transition to a new map.

My BOFF's don't remember the skills i set up on them, every time i go from space to ground, i have to set up BOFF skills again cause it has reset. I've had this problem since the launch of new training system, and have had contact with support, who had suggestions on how to solve it. But none of it worked, and they refuse to help me further.

Bridge officer ground skills are busted again. Just made a boff into command spec. and now, in the stations tab, my skills look like THIS! no matter what zone I'm in and I can't change them from the skills tab either.

For example my cadet tactical andorian officer is throwing plasma grenades (4th ability) all the time.
While my other engineering cadet is summoning Quantum Mortars and chronitons (2nd, 3rd), even though he is still just a cadet with 1 skill...
Although this bug actually helps you , it is still an ugly bug.

The game does still not remember the chosen setup of ground skills for BOFFs properly, as they get reset to what seems to be the (alphabetically) first trained ground skill for each slot and each BOFF, happening occasionally on map changes and (at least for me) seemingly every time I switch between my characters or load the game.
I suppose the problem lies either with the server, beeing some glitch in the BOFF data management, or with the server client communication, where I could imagine the server would rely on the client to tell the setup and the client would need the setup data from the server and defaults to the first legal choice each otherwise. Perhaps the fault is with data loss due to connection lag, the client defaulting and the server adapting the "new" setup ... and I could imagine on, but I doubt it would help you guys at Cryptic solve the problem.
So, please look into it, and even if you cannot identify the issue, please give us some (meaningfull) feedback, so that we know you actually care!
I've got what seems like a new one and hope this is the right thread for it, but my boff abilities not only reset regularily, but also disappear. Sometimes I lost abilities I don't use anyway, which actually was kinda positive (though still a bug obviously) because they couldn't reset to abilities I don't have anymore. Other times, I am in ground combat, note that one of my boffs has the wrong ability, want to change it, and the correct one isn't there anymore. Usually - but not always - happens with all the abilities at once.

Just noticed something. When training a boff there is a weird message at the bottom of the skills window where your available expertise is after training it in a new skill. The message goes away and it reverts to normal if I click another boff or leave the skills window. It seems to happen every time because it happened each time I trained my boff in 3 separate skills.
This problem still exists. Why hasn't it been corrected? I still have characters where the ground skills constantly revert back to the defaults instead of remembering the skills I have selected. Why, after all this time, has this problem not been fixed?

I am just wondering how many pages of complaints on the subject are needed before it becomes relevant to the devs. Very frustrating when trying to beam down during a mission and noticing I have to reset my Boff skills again. With as many patches they have had lately, you would think they could slip this fix in.
I just logged in after maint and went to change my boff ground skills back to what I want them to be as they reset to whatever they want every time I log in, and now I can't even change them
Since the new patch, Tactical Team no longer removes Borg Boading parties in Deep Space encounters in delta quadrant. It will remove the debuff icon but the boarding party itself remains until either the ship is destroyed or time runs out. Personally I believe the bug happened when they changed that power so it dissipates shortly after the ship that cast it is destroyed, so now you have to destroy the ship in order to remove the debuff.
Well, I'm sorry if it's a wrong place to report - please, correct me if so - but I have a problem with secondary specializations of my boffs. The problem appears to the one of my characters only (by now). I have the manual, the expertise, I push the button learn, it says that the expertise and the manual will be permanently removed, I press ok and then nothing happens. Just nothing. The manual is still there and no secondary specialization appears. I reported the bug in-game about a week and a half ago, but maybe I should repeat it there as well? It is very sad to have a ship with a pilot station and to be unable to use it.

And, I agree with velsinna, why don't we see this in the Patch Notes as a known bug. In the April 7, 2015, release notes you had the following:

Resolved an issue where occasionally Bridge Officers would have their powers reset to default when transferring maps.
So, you clearly knew something was amiss. However, the patch DID NOT fix the problem. Please work on this one.
I cannot train my Eng/Command Koboli, nor my Photonic Engineer in anything.

Problem:
I can't train any of my BOs with the Pilot Specialization manual you get from Delta Flight.

All of my BOs are fully promoted to Commander and some already have other specializations (Command/Intel) already, too.

You need to level up your character to lvl 60 and then make another character and keep him low level.
You party up these two lvl characters and then the lower level character buys items and then the higher level character sells them.
Since the lvl 60 character is a higher level the items sell for more generating a proffit
