You beam aboard their ship and find that there are 10 Hirogen on it, each manning their stations. One of them got a glimpse of your transporter effect so they are alerted to your presence. They begin scanning for you as a precaution.
What do you do?
Westex and I: as we are traveling through space, our sensors detect signs of debries ahead. When we move in closer, we find a damaged freighter and a Hirogen vessel, along with an abandoned Romulan runabout. (We do not know Worffan is on it).
I hail the Vaadwaur: "Should we destroy those Hirogen in case they pose a threat?"
You take cover behind a crate of body parts and you manage to gun down 4 of the Hirogen before one of them wounds you in the shoulder.
Any plans to get out of this? (Hint: use one of your weapons as a grenade).
(I'm a Jem'Hadar carrying a Romulan runabout's worth of assorted weapons. I already have grenades."
I shoot my rifle one-handed on full auto to keep the Hirogen down and lob an entire sack of plasma grenades (one set to blow) at them. Then I duck and cover, hoping that my armor will protect me from that many grenades exploding at once.
"Agreed." I then fire my energy dampening weapon at the Hirogen ship followed by two photon torpedos. I then beam up the survivors from the damaged freighter.
Worffan: you manage to take out another 3 Hirogen with your grenades when the ship violently shakes and things start exploding, taking main power offline.

I'm going to run, shrouded, to the nearest escape pod (counting on the confusion to distract the Hirogen) and GTFOO here.
"Greetings to you as well. Thank you for your assistance. These Hirogen have attacked a civilian freighter unprovoked, which, in addition to breaking several international laws, violates the Eighty-Seventh Law of Odo'Ital, which states "Pirates are not good people. I can't tell you how many damn pirates I had to prosecute at DS9--and most of them turned out to be Quark's so-called business contacts, too." I recommend taking them into your custody so that they may trial for their crimes."

"We will beam the rest of the Hirogen up." *I activate my transporters and beam up 3 Hirogen before subduing them with neural trunchens.*
"Our sensors have detected a badly damaged runabout. Do you wish to return to it or stay on my or the Vaadwaur ship?"

"If you could assist with repairs, I would be extremely grateful. I must return to High Command relatively soon, however, and I am uncertain if we are moving in the same direction."

"We are heading to a starbase that is about 60 LY from here. Is that your destination as well?"
(Since I'm not a huge Trek nerd like most people here *points at Kobali thread* I actually have no idea what I'm supposed to do here...)
*continues reading manual*
You should start looking through the gateway to see anywhere you recognize.
*you see a few unkown planets, Vulcan, Bajor, New Talax, the Solanae Dyson Sphere, and a few others.*

I watch the gateway for a while until I observe a pattern, then fly through to (hopefully) Vulcan.
I recommend going around the negative space wedgie for our own safety.
The anomaly begins to head towards us. (It is the same creature in TNG episode Time Squared).
I suggest we try to outrun it, unless you have any other plans.
Rooster: you fly through the gateway but don't end up at Vulcan. Instead you end up 20LY from your current position. I think you have 80 LY now.

I would recommend the same, going to maximum warp if possible.
On a more serious note, barring some helpful advice or a sudden revelation on the side of one of your characters, I think you're pretty much doomed. Unless it causes a time loop like in that episode...)
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.

"Nah just cripple their ship."

The pod launches.
Westex and I: "My sensors have detected the launch of an escape pod. It appears some of the Hirogen are trying to escape! Should we eliminate them?"
"Beam them aboard they'd make good prisoners."
"Greetings."

"Yes, it is. In that case, if you would be so polite as to bring my shuttle into your hangar bay, I would be honored to travel with you."
"The honor is ours. Would you prefer to stay on our ship or the Vaadwaur's?"
*my ship toes yours into a shuttle bay*
I'm guessing you have not decided so moving on.
Our ships continue on our journey through deep space when our sensors detect a strange anomaly that looks like a giant tornado in space.
What should we do?

Do you have any suggestions, Westex?
Nah outrunning it sounds good
*Our ships increase their speed but we find we cannot move. Before we know it we are getting pulled
inside the anomaly*.
"Any other ideas?"
None, unfortunately. I may be reasonably intelligent but I'm not genre savvy.
Same. Maybe shoot it?

Ok, you can give us advice.
Tense, isn't it?
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.
Oh well, I suppose there wouldn't be as much fun in going over to Jean-Luc...
