That is the only Star Trek episode I refuse to accept as canon!

Don't worry, it was officially stricken from canon for being awful.

She was the only admiral that died in the very last episode.

One of the very few competent decisions she ever made.

    Are you joking???

How many times did Janeway sit around or even go back into the quadrant for some inane reason? The Sisko would've been back in 2 weeks.

The Sisko would have been back because he was of Bajor, so the Prophets would have made him another wormhole.

Picard would have made it back in about a week, after Wesley Crusher developed some revolutionary new technology that would have bridged the gap near-instantly. Then it would have been ignored forever after, just like his development of nanoscale life, because shut up Wesley.

Kirk would have taken a little longer, but when he found out about quantum slipstream, he wouldn't have abandoned it just because the guy who gave it to them tried to use it to kill them. Instead, he would have used it for as long as it was safe, until Scotty figured out how to strengthen the SIF so it could hold up indefinitely. This would, of course, have revolutionized the political situation across the entire Alpha Quadrant...

Picard minus Wesley would've done the same as Kirk, tbh...

Kirk wouldn't have done any of that.

The moment he met the Caretaker, the latter would realize this is the person who he'd been searching for this whole time (lovemaking is of course what Kirk double-majored in during his tenure in Starfleet Academy after all), gotten what he needed, and sent the crew home within a day.

The Caretaker would of course still be alive to do so, as this theoretical happening would be going on a century or so before Voyager ever would have gone out there.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.

Y'know, Kirk's got this rep going on - but it appears to be the ladykiller version of the Memetic Badass meme. In 79 episodes of TOS, he kissed women three times that I can remember, plus being "forced" to kiss Uhura (like he didn't want to - yeah, right). He wanted to make out with Edith Keeler, but the mores of the time made that impossible for him. Oh, and he had a pretty serious relationship with Carol Marcus before taking command of the Enterprise (to the point that they were apparently contemplating marriage, and she let herself get pregnant with David), and not continuing things over the years was her idea.

Somehow, though, he picked up this "girl in every port" image, probably as a result of fanfic.

He had a metric butt ton of romance plot lines, even though he didn't make out that much and he had only the one kid and the one wife (while he was amnesiac). It's more the romance plots than the making-out.

Nah, he'd have decided to go around the territory of every hostile power they encountered. Thus making the trip last nearly indefinitely, until someone, maybe Data, invented a new form of propulsion. that or the Ent-D would have slowly become a flying battlestation capable of supporting the population of a small moon.

Hmm, I could see that. Picard was far more seasoned and would know the fallout of his actions, unlike Janeway

She wasn't sleeping with every alien on every planet they visited unlike a ST:TNG first officer we know of.
Space the final frontier. These are the voyages of [your name here] on a five year mission to gain one level after the delta rising xp nerf.

Really. List for me, please, the number of on-screen (and thus canon) liasons Jim Kirk had.

Then list the ones for Will Riker. Don't forget the on-again-off-again thing he had with Deanna Troi.

Compare the lists. Note which is the longer.

    Janeway, is the only way!

She was the character that showed the franchise that women, are strong and able to lead! Not strut around like waitresses! I loved how they didn't portray her as helpless and needing to be rescued by a man. Her crew was able to look up to her for inspiration and leadership. This is another reason why I loved that they added Voyager to this season, I just wish she was in it.

    Rachel. Garret.

Also Tasha Yar, Jadzia Dax, Kira Nerys, Troi on a good day, Beverly Crusher...

    And they weren't insane, either.

    I'd also like to include

    - T'Pau "All of Vulcan in one package"
    - T'Pring "Flawlessly logical."
    - Nyota Uhura From TOS. Took a big pair made of solid brass to pull of the stunt she did in Mirror, Mirror.
When she distracted Sulu while Scotty was gimmicking up a way to return here.
    - Dr. Pulaski.
    - Can't forget the Borg Queen either.

Nerys would have come the closest, but I don't believe they could have accomplished the role well enough to bring home the Voyager like Janeway did.

Yar, oh gawd! That was one of the worst written characters on the show! lolz
