Well at least your honest! God knows you won't be getting a real women to do that for you anytime soon
And frankly I am glad to see this tourney cancelled or for sure will be soon. I am happy to see the space community all finally getting owned by cryptic. While there are some respectable people the good majority of you don't deserve this game and I am glad cryptic is choking you all out of it.
Due to the unfathomably mentally challenged minds at cryptic, we also (HoBO) will not be participating in the tournament for similar reasons. Put simply the game is just too broken. Regards to those who organised the tournament, it was a great proposition but unfortunately the game, as mentioned earlier has just passed beyond a point of no return.
Damn people I could say the same about the ****** community. Make a god damn vpvp tourney. What's wrong you guys get too used to your constant 100 plus flight speed sci ships and escorts?

I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.

Originally it was planned to postpone the T5U-tourney until 22th of February due to new announcements made by cryptic which could have affected a fair and square matchmaking during the competition. However, I'm afraid to proclaim that the tourney is cancelled now because of the unbearable pvp-gameplay and grind-fest in its current state leading to a lack of participants in order to execute it.
My apologies for the remnants who were still looking forward to the approaching event but it is simply impossible to guarantee fair matches and enable an equal chance for everyone to compete in this state of the game.
Everybody disappeared, man...they did that Command Specialization announcement...and everybody disappeared.
Yea this primary specialization announcement introduced the demise of this pvp-event. The actions of cryptic are obvious and their objectives are clear.

It is totally understandable why you were refusing to be a member of this event anymore. The organizers and I gave my very best to make it happen but a greater power (Cryptic Studios) wanted to avert its execution probably.
Btw nice to see you here Vincent, my friend
Last but not least, I wish the remaining and active pvpers all the best and hope for a promising future of pvp in this game.

I admit, I'd been wondering what was going to happen with this tournament. Thanks for saying something Hannibal.
Well, least now I am gonna be officially 100% done actually PvPing in this game anymore then, since the tournament is cancelled.
It's almost kind of fitting. Instead of going out with a bang, it's more a...wimper.
You're welcome Mimey It's a shame that you couldnt go out with a last memorable pvp-event, the patient remnants of the community would have deserved it. Besides, I share the same p.o.v. like you: For me personally the tourney, my fleeties and the people I know were the last reasons why I kept playing PvP. However, most of them have either left or moved over to other games.
I would be glad if I see you around somewhere else outside of STO, perhaps in a different game
These days, I've been spending my time in Elite Dangerous, a great and complex space sim game which is definitely worth to take look at.
What a sad day. Since I wasn't able to keep up with a single Char for PvP and pretty much all my teammates left or focused on the grind, I was at least hoping to see some nice matches on livestream... :(:(
I guess it's time to face the truth: PvP is dead for good and will never recover.
Still I'm being a big fool hoping for better times
btw, is anyone in here interested in building a space pvp inspired mod/indie game? I'm thinking about investing some time in valves source engine for quite a while now...
Does anyone in here have some experience with that one and is interested in forming a small team?

I'll still stick around for my fleet mates, non-pvpers all of em, but I don't mind taking care of the fleet for now at least.
Well, while playing ED or by extension Star Citizen has been something I've been interested in, I also have acute motion sickness even to this day, so flying around in a full 360 environment isn't really a good idea for me. I'd LOVE to play em, but I don't think I'd feel that good doing so.
Only real MMO or otherwise multiplayer game that has my attention atm is ESO going B2P next month.

Lol, well you could always be a crewman on a multi-crew ship like an Idris (about the same length as the TOS Enterprise) and just make sure not to look out of a window.

True, true. If I wanted to be in anything, it'd be a larger-end ship like that. Still, don't know a lot of folks (from here in the PvP community) that haven't already left who might've had some interest in SC.

Have a Cutlass Blue, Freelancer MIS and a super Hornet
I'm alternating between ED and SC lately
I've that one too ^^

Stay classy. Fly an Aurora.

Just the time for them to fix Suppression Barrage III, then I'm going to squeeze the hell out of that tactical battlecruiser. It's just epic.
