Furthermore I have never seen a person who I've considered a very good "long-term" friend acting soo hatefully and with such a hostility towards his own fleet mate in foreign teamspeaks during organized and friendly 10v10 with mixed teams which served as a pure fun factor and to keep pvp-actitivities alive these days. Just because a fleetie made use of his competencies like memorizing and reading buffs, timing etc. and focusing on his fleet mates - which is a totally common behaviour in sto pvp - you have decided to throw away tight friendships carelessly by heavily insulting a fleet comrade due to your egoism or in-game pride (since you are acknowledged as a veteran sci in sto pvp). As a matter of fact, you knew that those randomly organized matches had absolutely no meaning, you were aware of the consequences of this disorderly conduct and yet you still took the sacrifice - everything for the ego right .
What I can say about you is, that I have rarely witnessed a more embittered, stubborn, sensitive, arrogant and a whiner of a kid like you after getting killed a bunch of times. I really cannot express how deeply disappointed I am of you after all those great times in pvp we had over YEARS.

We have not forgotten about that and about the other people involved. It's also one of the reasons our team lineup looks a bit different this time. Normaly these matches, especially those held in a tournament, should be the most fun you could get out of this game. Elysion, IC and HOBOs dominated the PVP scene during the time of the last tournament, so it was no surprise to see these teams in the semifinals. Calling us out in public forums, naming us "third-class whatever" and insulting us for various other things without reason was completely unapologetic behaviour. Matches between IC and RE always had some rivalry mixed into them, maybe more than between other fleets, but I had never seen anything like that. I mean the moment it was clear IC would loose it and we would proceed to the final against HOBO you would expect us to feel good and be happy on TS....it was neither of that. There was silence, fulfilling duty because loosing was not an option at that point anymore, mixed up with a lot of disdainfulness from our side towards IC.

The more the merrier ofc, but from what I have heard many players will step away from sto pvp after the ensuing competition which in turn means that chances will decrease because of less available players/fleets and voluntary hosters.

I'm starting to suspect that certain individuals are intentionally trolling this event, as to have the thread locked. Those I care about, please beware.
Due to bullcraptics latest announcement containing the release of a new primary spec tree and the new command boff class with a brandnew set of boff abilities, more and more voices have arisen, demanding that its use should be prohibited in the tourney and I fully agree to it for the very reason that we still don't know at all in which manner they will influence the pvp-gameplay .
As an intermediary I am obligated to resolve the uncertainty and hence I am going to consult the hoster about the upcoming additions to the game.
I will keep you up-to-date and inform you about each decision/change that might be made in the near future.
Due to the unfathomably mentally challenged minds at cryptic, we also (HoBO) will not be participating in the tournament for similar reasons. Put simply the game is just too broken. Regards to those who organised the tournament, it was a great proposition but unfortunately the game, as mentioned earlier has just passed beyond a point of no return.
I will probably stay in and do this if it still happens. Though win or lose, or whether it even happens or not, it'll probably be the last tournament (maybe even the last PvP) I ever do, as it just is getting to the point there that I don't feel the need to bother trying to keep up.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
