Rather than improving the cloaking and maneuverability for its Intelligence Bird-of-Prey, the Klingon Empire instead chose to go a different route. Klingon Intelligence decided to refit the Qaw'Dun Bird-of-Prey with thicker hull armor and improved shielding, bigger engines to compensate, and advanced sensor systems; this resulted in a ship closer to what other species would consider a science vessel; however, as a Bird-of-Prey the Qaw'Dun Refit is just as capable of eliminating targets as it is observing them. It remains more fragile than the Science Vessels it was designed to emulate, however, and is less versatile and less maneuverable than other Birds-of-Prey.
Console Modifications: 4 Tactical, 2 Engineering, 4 Science (5 for the eventual Fleet version)
Base Turn Rate: 18 degrees per second
Impulse Modifier: 0.2
Inertia: 75
+5 Power to Weapons, +10 Power to Engines, and +5 Power to Auxiliary
Can Load Dual Cannons
Battle Cloaking Device
Raider Flanking
Console - Universal - Heavy Disruptor Lance
Matter-Antimatter Warp Core
Active Sensor Arrays
Starship Ability Package (Bird-of-Prey)
Precise Weapon Systems (+Accuracy)
Tactical Maneuver (+Defense)
Enhanced Weapon Systems (+Damage)
Enhanced Weapon Banks (+Crit Severity)
Fog of War (Starship Trait) - Triggering your cloaking device will also Scramble Sensors in a 5 km radius around your ship to aid in your escape. This can occur no more than once per 60 seconds, and like the Bridge Officer ability this will grant opponents a 20 second immunity to Confuse effects after the debuff expires or is cleansed.
I could probably spell out an Intel Carrier (intended to launch reconnaissance flights and strike at supply lines deep in enemy territory) and a T6 Ferasan Tactical Carrier Destroyer (think Ar'Kif, but T6 with a conventional Warp Core and standard Cloak).
Romulan
Maybe an Intel Haakona to fill the all 3 missing ships needed to balance the ship lineup? The brain is still more interested in going to play, so that's what I'm going to do. :P
With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.
Yeah, there are a lot of Fed ships, but almost every new one designed by Cryptic is just flat. Literally. They think making something flat equals creative. I'm definitely not paying money to fly a disc or plank in space. This is why I'm not buying the pack.
So what I'd like to see are actually attractive T6 ships. I don't care what kind. Anything, fer cryin' out loud. Cryptic will have to hire outside the company, but it'll be worth it.
It's a neat idea just by virtue of being different, but unless they buff mines I don't see a minelayer being too useful. The best way to clear a minefield is still to brace for impact and plow right through it.
On another note, I'd love a cluster torpedo that DOESN'T drop mines. I've been wanting one that does more of a mini torp spread practically since the game launched. Especially since what I grew up seeing in video games was more of a "multi-hit missile" with potential AoE than a minelayer, even if the current versions in STO are more true to life.

Alas, the only torp I can think of that does that is the Shrapnel torp that comes with the Tal Shiar Adapted Destroyer....unfortunately that's a console, and not a true weapon.
I'd have to say a T6 version of the intrepid so that it actually advances as well perhaps with a better version of the ablative armor console power.
I wouldn't mind one but I was thinking a new console...perhaps one that launches a Aeroshuttle...and can do a set bonus with the Ablative armor and perhaps even the Nadeon Detonator!
If not the Intrepid I wouldn't mind any decent T6 Sci ship, the two they launched with DR just plain suck.
Can't have a honest conversation because of a white knight with power
I like Heavy Cruiser style ships, so I would like something like an Eclipse that is not an Intel ship (maybe even a Mirror Eclipse, with a Mirror Guardian Intelligence Cruiser to go with it).
BoPs and a Carrier for the KDF. Maybe T6 Gorn, Nausicaan, and Orion ships too (heck, Lethian and Ferasan while they are at it).
I also want the APU ships. I always liked their basestars, but more because they were different than because they were cool; but the frigates Cryptic came up with look pretty darn sweet, so I'd want those too.
OK, we've had our first taste of the Guardian which by all accounts looks to be one heck of a cruiser. This coming Friday, we're getting a chance to see the Dauntless in action.
But these ships are just the first in a series of new T6 ships we're more than likely about to see before December.
What would you like to see? I have 2 I'd like to see:
T6 Carriers for the Federation, Romulans and Klingons.
I realize the fed version may be a pipe dream that 'just doesn't fit' with the IP. But a full on Science Carrier for the Romulans and a fully-tactical version for the KDF would be my preference.
What would set them apart other than more dakka? Perhaps a third 'intelligence' hangar with a new class of pet. Just an idea.
T6 Klingon Science Destroyer
I realize this too may be a pipe dream, but finally having a true KDF science ship would be a welcome sight in the KDF. I'm not suggesting a Vesta retread (although that would not be bad), but something on a grander scale - perhaps something with built-in tactical overkill that only the KDF could design..... Maybe something based on the Siege Garumba reworked for the KDF, with a battle cloak and science abilities.
A KDF player can dream can't he?
What would you like to see next?
All I care about is a KDF BoP, preferably intel BoP.
All T5-U ships upgraded to T6 so Intel officers can be used; no complaints if T5-U stats are also upleveled to T6 stats. (Hey, I like to play some of these older ship designs. Just my opinions.)
T6 KDF Science Destroyer
T6 Jupiter and Typhoon class ships
And as mentioned before, all of the T6 suggestions made within this thread. Methinks Cryptic won't have many troubles sustaining STO if they're relying on ship sales. <g>
And since Aquarius got his 5 tac console at escort stats (it is actually a little escort) I think this T6 Intel Bop should have 5/2 weapons slot , 5 tac consoles, battlecloak in fleet version.

A more tactically focused T6 Intrepid. Yeah not likely to happen, but I just like the ship and want to use it on my tactical captain without feeling like I'm missing something. Should also have a science version.
Cryptic has stated they want to get back to making original designs that werent seen in the series and films.
But Cryptic already has a foundation of original designs to spring board off of. The Star Cruisers, Patrol Escorts and Deep Space Science Vessels. Each with 3-4 original designs. All of which are T5 Starships and atleast two have been CStore Ships/Skins (Tempest/Maelstrom). Theyve all been rather popular even with the introduction of more iconic Star Trek Vessels like the Galaxy-X, Vesta, Excelsior and so forth.
Even now after the introduction of so many Lockbox ships I still see quite a few Vanilla T5 Ships no matter what part of the game I warp to. People obviously enjoy these ships.
They may not be brand spanking new. But its atleast somewhere to start for Cryptic. And there wouldnt be such a bi-polar reaction from the playerbase on whether the ships are star trek or not.

No need, there are already more ships than lights.
