I do find it odd that she still looks like that, same outfit same hairstyle etc. I mean if ANYONE in Trek has had reason to change in the last 30+ years its her. Admittedly I was never a fan of Voyager anyways, but logic.
Of course given that the identity as 36 Of D was one of the defining traits for the character, they can't really downplay that either (nothing against Ryan, but I certainly hold Berman responsible). I mean how would fans take it if an iconic character, say Chief Engineer, gained a hundred pounds and facial hair in the intervening years? They'd outright revolt at such a change!
if she didn't look like the classic 7 of 9 people'd complain that she looked different from the show. if you make her look exactly the same people complain she hasn't aged. there's no pleasing star trek fans.
Hate to be negative but I really hope you spend a bit more time on her facial features.
The only thing that makes her character recognizable in these pictures is the catsuit and then Borg implants, otherwise I'd say you've recast her with another actress.
Soften up her cheek lines, bigger eyes, more prominent eyebrows and smoother edge forehead.
Little known fact, Dr Brahm's daughter, Leanna Brahms served aboard my main's ship when she was an ensign. She is now Chief Engineer aboard the USS Harrison Ford, under the command of my main's former 1st officer who I promoted to her own command.
I really had a massive tv crush on Leah Brahms back when I first saw her on TNG. Leah Brahms

Jeri Ryan, was a good idea for what I personally thought was limp part of Star Trek (until the Borg), amazingly enough, the character received more and more story lines after she started to date one of the producers!
I've only gone on what I've been told, stunning women but the Borg attributes suited her acting.
Actually, I'm probably going to change the signature soon. New stuff I want to advertise, and I need to properly thank Cryptic for that new Klingon raptor.
But yeah. It's pretty big. Needs to be cut down a little, tbh.
With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.
This was one the things I am really looking forward to seeing, Seven of Nine. I am also interested to know of her relationship with Chakotay via VOY: "Endgame" and how that is going, just for lore's sake. During this time in the novels Seven was fighting the Borg on the Enterprise E with Picard and his remaining crew from Nemesis specifically "Greater than the Sum" and "Before Dishonor" Since STO is now considered canon I am interested in how you incorporated author Peter David's novels into the STO fabric.
That being said, I really hope she not hanging around with the Cooperative and is on Voyager, and we get to see her "quarters" or alcove in the cargo bay. That was always sort of creepy for me on Voyager, have just a set of alcoves lining up the cargo bay knowing what they used to house.
Also I am really interested on her first encounter's with the Romulan Republic characters or Klingons (well she has seen Klingons i.e. B'Lenna) but the Romulans I bet she has never encountered before so that will be very interesting.
I imagine that if seven still regenerates at all, she probably has a portable regenerator she can just put by her bed where ever she is so that she can be more normal.
Seven was part of the collective, she is very well versed in all of the alpha quadrant species, so I highly doubt she found anything terribly shocking. Also, as stated, this is some 30 years later, it's not like we're going to be playing through seven's first meeting with a romulan or a klingon -.-'
On another note, I agree that for seven to be dawning her old voyager costumes is silly. She should have some sort of civilian clothes or a daystrom lab uniform or something. I could see her wearing her hair up when she's "on duty" as it were, so I don't have so much issue with that.
Looks great, I'm glad to see what happened to the Voyager crew after returning home. I think she looks good for an NPC. I know its hard to get some of the features right, but it looks good enough for me.
I'm surprised she is still in those suits since the show. I was expecting something different.
Looking forward to seeing her and listen to her in game.

Did Seven ever marry Chakotay? Did she ever have kids? Does she still maintain a relationship with Janeway? I hope we get some answers to these questions in Delta Rising.
My answer to your question is my toon Jera "Jeri" Annika Hansen, the daughter of Seven and Chakotay. I will try to play this mission in a way that daughter and mom meet again after being separated for several years due to Mother's bad blood with Starfleet and daughters commitment to serving Starfleet.
But Picard is played by Sir Patrick Stewart, and therefore is an ageless god in human form.
Or more precisely he's bald and bald men always look a healthy 45.
As for Borg tech retarding aging...unlikely. There wouldn't be much of a point for the Collective.
You think aging doesn't reduce the effectiveness of their drones? I'm certain the collective has the technology to better maintain their drone's DNA integrity and whatnot to prevent aging from being an issue. Granted, their attrition rate with that "march slowly and let yourself be killed so the others can adapt" thing probably doesn't make for many drones lasting into old age anyway... But did you not see those clamps pulling back the borg queen's face? Clearly the borg have no problem going to great lengths to prevent sagging and wrinkles. :P

What soft canon and STO has to say may vary. :P
So did she come out of Seven's womb with some borg nanites already factory installed?

I find it odd that she is referred to as Seven of Nine at all in these blogs. As that was her Borg designation all those years ago. 30 plus years have passed since she felt the short name, Seven, was comfortable for her while aboard Voyager.
Her name is Annika Hansen. And I hope the Delta Rising story missions make this distinction.
While the current pictures will sell the Seven of Nine Costume from the C-Store, just remember that the more civilian STO makes of main characters, the more casual wear choices will need to be offered for that character as well for the player's. I see Science Advisor,Annika Hansen, dressed much like Leah Brahms in TNG.
I agree ^^^
I've been most interested in what's happened with Seven and the Doctor.
There's still a lot of story left with these two.
With no disrespect, Seeing Seven, looking like she did during her time on Voyager, is kinda unimaginative.
The Doctor, sure maybe, He wouldn't age. But the rest of the characters, have they gone through some sort of temporal rift like Tasha?
Worf being a Klingon, he might age differently,... but even he's aged as represented in the game.
Nelix and Seven should look older, and after all this time, maybe invested in a new set of threads, in Seven's case, maybe maturing beyond a spacey catsuit.
Hell, I half expected Seven to maybe have removed a few implants, maybe discovering a new hairstylist on Earth.... she certainly fantasized enough about these things on the holodeck back on Voyager did she not ?
But, I look forward to seeing them in game. Continuing their story, THAT'S really something !
I can't wait to see what you've done there!
Thanks for getting them in the game !
NOW, If I could just receive a hail from Picard, Janeway, Data, or Riker....... (crossing fingers)
I kinda hope that you(STO dev team) take this opportunity to introduce a cool new Daystrom Institute uniform with Seven or something. I know, you have a whole outfit dedicated to the character and all, but it kinda don't really fit now. Figuratively that is, but possibly literally as well.
I am very glad to have Jeri Ryan on board and think it is wonderful for her support her old character. Quite frankly I think people should stop complaining about the star roles as it takes money and convincing to pull off. Last time we saw so many Voyager cast in one place was Elite Force.
I do note some exceptions like Tim Russ who is very supportive of the fans and does the franchise credit it is the actors like him that help us keep Star Trek alive. Walter Koenig, Michael Dorn, and those actors who didn't pull a Shatner on us and write books about it. For those old enough to remember. Also to know that people like Stewart don't want anything to do with Star Trek. Star Trek Legacy was probably the last time we would see all 5 Captains ever again.
On to the topic...
Mulgrew is working on the Orange is the new Black. Highly doubtful we would see her again.
Seven wouldn't age. The Borg Queen was of a low species number and had been alive for more than a millennium. Alpha Quadrant Species were designated with 4 digits something that wasn't an issue during the original queen's time with her species being the most current at 2**, so its not a far stretch to assume the borg are near immortal. Now if we are told her implants were removed then yes we have an age issue.
If Seven of Nine retains many of her Borg implants than it's easy to imagine that her aging would be far slower given the Borg nanoprobes ability to regenerate cells.
Add a few lines to her face, change her hairstyle and give her a snazzy new uniform, something new, not a rehash of something we've seen or an amalgam, something brand spanking new and I think she'd look perfect in-game.
I think all the VOY characters need some tweaking but Seven more importantly.
While the rest of these trekkie nerds debate the finer points of Seven of Nine's character model, I have to add something to this discussion in case Jeri Ryan herself is reading:
Miss Ryan, I'm single. So are you. This means we should get married.
With your beauty, and my uhh, the other thing that's the opposite of beauty, just imagine what wonderfully average, unremarkable children we could have! Think about it, just sayin'.
Ethan Phillips AND Jeri Ryan? It will be unbelievably awesome to interact with my favorite Voyager character! Jeri Ryan brought a depth and pathos to a borg drone that endeared many fans and ensured Seven's status amongst the most memorable of Trek characters. All I can say is "Thanks" for listening to the players when we asked for more guest appearances! Really, the STO crew is just lighting it up right now and I am impressed. Now, if you could just get Bill Shatner to break his "No Cameo" clause and work for scale...:)
maybe I am in the minority but I dont think those images look very good. meaning they dont capture what she looked like on the show... even if you aged her up some.
Neelix looked alot better, meaning closer to the makeup effects from the show. Thou he did seem more "buff" than in the show... guess he worked out alot during the past 3 decades.
also you should probably have given her a new hairstyle... do woman really keep the same hairstyle for over 30 years? and maybe some new type of clothes...
I agree with everyone else stating that she needs a new uniform then that leotard. She is part of the Daystrom Institute and not stuck in a time loop on Voyager.
There's still time to tweak that facial model team.
To those saying that they paid attention to her body while ignoring her face, actually her body doesn't seem to be as sharp either.
As for the outfit.....I"m honestly not sure what else she could wear.
As I understand it was a Dermaplast skin suit, basically something to help her recover from being liberated from the collective/Deassimilated.
The only other person we've ever seen work at the Daystrom Institute is the aforementioned Dr. Brahms. That would require a Civilian uiform. With that in mind alternatively, she could wear the Dyson's Spire uniform with some variation, though that would deprive us of the possible opportunity of getting the low collar version of her suit.
Her in the Oddysey uniform even the tactical doesn't make sense, since she's not Starfleet.
It was a crack pairing out of nowhere to begin with and it made zero sense. Even Worf and Troi had foreshadowing.
It would be interesting if they split, due to Chakotay's role (in STO) as head of Starfleet Security... and contributing to the disbanding of the anti-Borg task force, as a possible plot point.
Unlikely. Chakotay was made head of Starfleet Security in 2406, Seven left Starfleet because of the disbanding of the task force around 2385.

"Rise like Lions after slumber, In unvanquishable number, Shake your chains to earth like dew, Which in sleep had fallen on you-Ye are many they are few"
I frankly don't mind the catsuit or her possible lack of aging due to Borgtech; but I feel she should at least have a labcoat. And while they're at it, update the Tailoring wardrobe so that jackets/coats are separate from inner shirts in order to better customize characters (mainly more for the off-duty/civilian or formal wears, but could work on uniforms too). Besides, it'd be nice to be able to equip something like a lab coat, unzipped jacket, or open vest over attire such as body suits, inner shirts, or swimsuits, as well as mix-and-match some of the inner shirts we see with some uniforms with the jackets of other uniforms.
That would make my planned grumpy old man who ignores some dress regulation and wears a completely unzipped/unbuttoned regulation jacket over regulation inner shirts actually feasible.
Seven of Nine was one of the most remarkable characters in Voyager and now Star Trek Online! She steals your attention with her commanding demeanor and her undeniable beauty. Learn about Seven of Nine's journey from Voyager to Delta Rising in our latest developer blog.
