The hacks--I mean, writers--even as good as admitted that they did that JUST to TRIBBLE with Robert Beltran, who had criticized the "writing" and had pretty well-known personal issues with Jeri Ryan.
Wait what? Do tell. Where can I learn more about this, thats hilarious.
If nothing else, Operation TRIBBLE Beltran got Jeri in that Red dress, THE most visually pleasing scene in ALL Star Trek.
...talking to players is like being a mall Santa. Everyone immediately wants to tell you all of the things they want, and you are absolutely powerless to deliver 99% of them.
Can we have like a accolade after haven played through her parts that unlocks her catsuit from the c-store to be used by the other faction characters we have?
*sigh* You just had to put her back into that skin-tight suit...
I mean, Seven is a great character and Jeri Ryan sure is great and beautiful actress, but since you've managed to get her to do the voicework you could at least do without such objectification of her character. Surely there are more outfits a woman can wear in the 25th century?
The bodysuit needs to go. I know it's iconic and all, but it just doesn't suit her in the story. Give her some decent civilian attire.
Completely agreed!
As corny as Seven of Nine's holodeck fantasy episode was, it did demonstrate that she was becoming more interested in wearing "normal" clothing, and becoming more like a normal person.
Looking at the close-ups, there's at least a little something from Jeri Ryan/7 of 9 in that NPC as opposed to nothing similar I could (and still can) find in the whole body pics.
Still I wouldn't call this a successful creation. Worf, Tuvok, Tasha Yar or seemingly the Doctor are more faithful to the series.
Other than the (non) likeness of the PC model, I'm of course thrilled to see 7 of 9/Jeri Ryan added among STO's stars. Along with the Doctor, 7 was my favourite Voyager character.
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class. Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider. Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.
This was one the things I am really looking forward to seeing, Seven of Nine. I am also interested to know of her relationship with Chakotay via VOY: "Endgame" and how that is going, just for lore's sake. During this time in the novels Seven was fighting the Borg on the Enterprise E with Picard and his remaining crew from Nemesis specifically "Greater than the Sum" and "Before Dishonor" Since STO is now considered canon I am interested in how you incorporated author Peter David's novels into the STO fabric.
That being said, I really hope she not hanging around with the Cooperative and is on Voyager, and we get to see her "quarters" or alcove in the cargo bay. That was always sort of creepy for me on Voyager, have just a set of alcoves lining up the cargo bay knowing what they used to house.
Also I am really interested on her first encounter's with the Romulan Republic characters or Klingons (well she has seen Klingons i.e. B'Lenna) but the Romulans I bet she has never encountered before so that will be very interesting.
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] "This planet smells, it must be the Klingons"
I find it odd that she is referred to as Seven of Nine at all in these blogs. As that was her Borg designation all those years ago. 30 plus years have passed since she felt the short name, Seven, was comfortable for her while aboard Voyager.
Her name is Annika Hansen. And I hope the Delta Rising story missions make this distinction.
While the current pictures will sell the Seven of Nine Costume from the C-Store, just remember that the more civilian STO makes of main characters, the more casual wear choices will need to be offered for that character as well for the player's. I see Science Advisor,Annika Hansen, dressed much like Leah Brahms in TNG.

But it's the best way to get everyone (almost everyone) to stand attention...
I'm sorry to people who I, in the past, insulted, annoyed, etc.

Agreed Leah Brahms would be a good start.
30 years since VOY and she never has gotten rid of that body suit?
Even T'Pol in the later parts of Enterprise who was very similar to Seven in many respects put on
a Starfleet Uniform and looked good while doing it and even dropped the name SubCommander to full XO.
I think Seven would look hot in a Oddy Uniform, not only that Seven is very rugged and tough i.e she could pretty much kick your butt if she needed to, so the Body Suit thing just doesn't do it for me.

We know what happened in his family. But isn't it kind off sad if your signature is now as big as your ego?:D
(Breaking character now)
Actually, I'm probably going to change the signature soon. New stuff I want to advertise, and I need to properly thank Cryptic for that new Klingon raptor.
But yeah. It's pretty big. Needs to be cut down a little, tbh.
I do find it odd that she still looks like that, same outfit same hairstyle etc. I mean if ANYONE in Trek has had reason to change in the last 30+ years its her. Admittedly I was never a fan of Voyager anyways, but logic.
Of course given that the identity as 36 Of D was one of the defining traits for the character, they can't really downplay that either (nothing against Ryan, but I certainly hold Berman responsible). I mean how would fans take it if an iconic character, say Chief Engineer, gained a hundred pounds and facial hair in the intervening years? They'd outright revolt at such a change!

Didn't Scotty gain some weight between TOS and TMP? And he had that great beard and mustache, too.

Activating contingency plan: Jolene Blalock.
Married since 2003. :P

Red Seven
Capt. Will Conquest of the U.S.S. Crusader
That scene was just eye-rolling. I MUCH preferred DS9's swimsuit-babes-on-Risa scene.
No matter what this certain Voyager hater in here says, everything is better than the faux french guy and Conan and Barbarella from DS9.

That's it, Manfred! I'm leaving you! It's OVER, you hear me? OVER!!!!!
Completely agreed!

You get the kids and the stinky cat. I take the rest, at least everything with value..

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!
Oh, no you don't! I'm getting better lawyers!
:P

from what TV show and/or fantasy books from? And Ally McBeal wasn't a real person by the way.
:P

(Who?)
I'm getting Atticus Finch. The classics are always the best.
You don't stand a chance! Ha-ha!

Hey, it's the 25th century. Medicine and dietary supplements have come a long way.
