    What species can we expect?

Multiple species, including all core races or restricted to certain ones, like a few current space and ground traits and abilities (e.g. efficient, pirate, breen eye beam or operative)?

Strange face... I am more intrigued by these James Bond officers. I will change my previous disposition, and be cautiously optimistic regarding DR.

A note on the new blog format:
It looks awesome, but I would love to have a way to jump directly to pages, and not be limited to the forward/backwards buttons. On first reading, the forward/backward buttons are sufficient, but when you later want to refer back and reread specifics, it's awkward.

Interesting, Probably not going to get an Intelligence Ship

BUT I might just get a Intelligence Bridge officer for my Away team to try it out

Rank III abilities will be obtainable in-game for Captains that seek the additional customization and effectiveness of these high-end options. Information on unlocking those options will be included in a future Dev Blog.

I really hope this isn't another obvious cash-grab, and more along the lines of needing some sort of expertise/reputation etc.

There are those specializations we get as Captains, maybe those provide skills for training. :)

Hmm. Neither like or dislike at this point. Going to have to actually play around with some.

If my Klingon Intelligence Officer is going to perform Mokbara in the middle of an important away team mission, no thank you.

I agree. it all sounds very snazzy but until i play it i really dont know but im all for more options and more ways to build your characters/ship/crew

i am hoping that our captains can start specializing in these new abilities. that sounds like the course it will be going.

Cryptic, you do know the AI for bridge officers on the ground is still hilariously bad right? They won't be able to make use of a few of those ground abilities. Fortunately, only a few.

These abilities are more useful in the hands of players, which I hope you guys plan to deliver in some capacity, either through reputation, lock boxes, or through the new post-50 progression.

Hiding behind potted plants probably isn't the smartest idea for an intelligence officer, either.

    Nice blog!

Can you also add a description for subspace beacon? At the moment the ability is listed under space but not described above.

My feedback: I'd like to see Romulans excluded from being able to acquire these new Intelligence officers. I think it's a good opportunity to provide balance for the other factions against the Superior Romulan Operative Trait.
Besides that, I think they will add some great variety and options for more fun and unique builds.

Actually, you will be able to. The text for the Delta Alliance Rep that released on Tribble last night suggests we will get intelligence kit modules, Mk 12 of increasing quality.

Please let this be a kit module.

I've got a feeling the specialization skill trees will allow captains to use and train a few of these abilities if they wish.

So I will have to choose between Cannon Rapid Fire III, and an Intelligence ability?

These new BOffs will be less useful than I thought.

It was exciting while it lasted.

So, the blog mentions that other specializations can be added in the future. Are there plans for T5U ships with standard bridge officer seating to ever be able to take advantage of new bridge officer specializations and powers? It seems like they could never be considered equal to T6 otherwise.

bit curious about the intelligence officers skills for instance would it be possible to learn for ground (med tricorder, target optic's, lunge, chroniton mines) on one officer for ground thereby mixing various abilities or is it still locked to only 1 classes skills at once and any specialist abilities you decide to deploy ?

mostly wondering because the ability to mix and match at will would be nice since you could feasibly no longer require towing along a pocket medic style officer for most content while also opening up a number of rather interesting options.

if you can't mix and match like above then please look into adding a few intelligence officer type healing and debuff removing ability's.

it would also be really nice if there was a reveal of what the intelligence officers in the delta rising pack are race traits and skills wise since I'm putting off deciding to buy or not till I have that info along with information on if the ships are locked to one material skin or allowed to use base ones as well.

1 guy affects 5 plaeyrs which are forced each to counter the power that 1 guy used it.

More AoE broken stuffs from a broken design. You need 40 phd's in game design to come up with that lol

The 700-Day Veteran Androids can be retrained as they are now. Makes sense that we could retrain them using Intelligence skills.

Also, spelling error in the blog:

No description for the Subspace Beacon power. Also is Intel Team needed to clear Intel debuffs, or will it be the appropriate Tac/Eng/Sci Team?

Some nice new abilities., but wouldn't it be nice if they went back and fixed all the current broken/useless abilities already in game before adding new ones?

What about the unique boffs like the Jem'Hadar, Breen, Xindi, etc? Will we be seeing intelligence versions of them any time soon?

(I wanna see a Breen engineering/intelligence boff *cough* *cough*)
