There is absolutely no reason why it shouldn't be 5/3. It's a fracking cruiser with a battle cloak. It needs the forward firepower to crush the Federa...enemies of the Hegemony....

Well if its 5/3 with battle cloak then its gonna be kind of hard to sell the raptor. Unless the raptor has something crazy like 6/1. Looooool. That'd be pretty mean. 6/1 Raptor, that'd be something.

I'm not sure if I'll be going for it or not. I've been waiting and waiting for a 'Super-Neghvar', but this sounds like more of a pocket-battlecruiser. It may seem dumb, but the main reasons I still fly my Bortasqu(over my Mirror Neghvar and Mogh) is because of its battlefield presence and general sturdiness. Unless it's bigger and beefier than a Mirror Negh, I doubt I'll go for it - despite how nice it looks(visually and performance-wise).
It will probably be a great step up for Vorcha/Torkaht captains though.
They do say the Qib is lighter than most KDF BattleCruisers.
For those who use our Battle Cruisers more like Destroyers or Big Escorts this will the ship for you.
I was once DKnight1000, apparently I had taken my own name so now I'm DKnight0001. If I ask you a question it is not an insult but a genuine attempt to understand why. When I insult you I won't be discreet about it, I will be precise and to the point stupid.
I'm love battlecruisers and I didn't expect this. It has an old-schoon kinda' design and the TOS classic greyish looking hull. I love that. And it has the battlecloak! This might just well be the Klingon ship that would really fit me like a glove.
I'll be getting the raptor as well. Love how she looks and love big nose cannon. Whoever mentioned the 6/1 weapons layout - I highly doubt it, but if that happens I'm gonna' sqeeee! :P

Lol, if it was 6/1... that would basically kill every.single.complaint that we tlhInganpu have towards the massive influx of Fed ships. It'd be too good to be true...but by Kahless..MAKE IT SO.
Well, we're just keeping it real. Somewhat. We're discussing 6/1 for the raptor btw, and I don't expect the raptors to have the same amount of weapon slots as the battlecruisers.
For the Qib Battlecruiser however, I'd be more than satisfied with a 5/3 setup. The more I think of it the more I like it. Classic TOS grey hull.....it's suposed to be "light" so...10 or 11 turn rate? Battlecloak. Add to that a 5/3 setup and I'll give the enemies of the Empire a one way ticket to Gre'thor!

Yeah would be overkill for a raptor ( didn't realise ), im hoping for 11 or 12 for the Qib, I just can't wait to fly this ship.
If it was something like a 6/1 for the raptor. It'd probably be...
With the description of " Devastating forward torpedo fire. " it'd be a 5/1 raptor with a fused torpedo launcher on the front, kinda like that tailgun on the patrol escort refit.
If only it had a intel boff slot, or does it? torpedo transporter. 4 dhc and 2 torps on front. buff up for spike torp in cloak. Drop cloak, torp to hull and dhc. let're rippppp.
And for that 1 slot on the back? Omni beam. Beam Overload, C:RF, Torp High Yield, Torpedo Transporter. Hnrgh.
Quality is more paramount than quantity... It'd do my heart good if the myriad of Fed ships has, as another user has said, sub-par hull to compensate for the stealth, and mayhaps the boff slots are a lil' wonky but passable. Ya' know... for balance! I swear Klingon Intelligence would never deliberately sabotage your fleet...
Well it seems Qib translates into Galaxy. So the KDF are getting our own Galaxy class Maha does not seem to translate.
The more i look at those fed ships the more i pity them... They are so ugly and uninspired... But they really did pull out all of the stops on the KDF and Rom ships. Love the look of them.
It's all good. Maybe this'll make the 18% turn to 25% kdf pop again! :P
It makes sense thematically that the Qib gets the battlecloak, its an intelligence ship, its focus isn't straight up battle or fire power, its ambushes, assassination (transport torpedo intel boff power), and intelligence gathering, it basically the go to ship for Klingon Intelligence.
The Maha on the other hand is the ship all about fire power. Its likely to have 5/3 weapon slots, plus its nose cannon console, when it ambushes someone it doesn't disappear again (unless you use intel team), it uses suppior fire power to make sure the target is destroyed, so there is no need to cloak in the midst of battle.
Oh, yeah... I'm buying both KDF Tech/Tier 6 ships. The raptor must have some insane firepower. I'll get the Qib just for the hell of it...
The dress is gold and white. Over 70% people says so. When viewed from a certain screen angle it appears blue and black. The dress displayed on amazon is a blue and black dress, but it's not the same dress in the picture. If you're seeing blue & black you're slightly colored blind. A normal upright screen = white and gold.
Considering how good my Fleet Tor'Kaht*is..... this is gonna be awesome. One more degree of turn and a battle cloak, to be or not to be.... to be I think!!! Roll on the kdf new hotness ( yeah I went there ).

The Qib Intel Battlecruiser comes equipped with a Weapon System Siphon. This devastating device drains the weapon systems of nearby enemy starships and overloads your own. This reduces the damage and accuracy to the affected foes and provides your starship with a boost to damage and accuracy per enemy hit.
This console can only be equipped on the Qib Intel Battlecruiser and the Fleet Qib Intel Battlecruiser, but can be put into any of their console slots. You may only equip one of these consoles.
Advanced Firing Solutions (Starship Trait)
After achieving level 5 in your Qib Intel Battlecruiser’s Starship Mastery, you will unlock the Advanced Firing Solutions starship trait. While this trait is slotted, each time a cannon weapon is fired your starship will gain a small amount of bonus turn rate and accuracy for a short time. This bonus stacks up to 10 times.
Kinda disappointed with just 3 tact consoles but oh well, can't have everything!

It is funny, the BC gets the battle cloak and the raptor doesn't.
Well, let's not detract this thread with that. I already made a new one for that purpose.

If its 5/3 I'm going to start pestering Cryptic until release day to let me just buy it already.
I hope 4/4. I want there to be a reason to buy my MaHa (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwAyhwEpdss)!

Hehe That's neat!
Now when I think I'm finally giving up on Feds, I can have my very own KDF Galaxy Class!
Fed ships look Tholian, meh pass.
Rom ships are nice but my one Rom has a Fleet T'varo, plan to just upgrade that.
But Just take my money already for these KDF ships.

Say hello to the successor of the legendary K'tinga, I'll be so badass in this that it may give people headaches. :P
