I think the philosophy is that raiders are a KDF gimmick, warbirds/singularity powers are a Romulan gimmick, and science vessels are a Fed gimmick.

As such, well... It doesn't mean that you won't see sci ships that other factions can fly. We have some of those but they're mostly lockbox/lobi/event ships. Just like the only non-KDF raider. And that the same will be true if we ever get singularity ships that KDF or Feds can fly.

I don't think being science is a federation gimmick. The Dyson packs wouldn't have had their science focus as a band-aid to KDF and Romulan players who were initially limited to the gorn ship and Ha'nom ship. If being science was a Federation only gimmick then Klingon and Romulan factions wouldn't have science career paths.

Also if PWE is playing up the Federation more because of the player numbers then they're creating a catch-22 situation. By not providing the same resources to each faction in terms of career specific ships they're showing out right favoritism. More people would go KDF if they provided the resources like the Federation faction has and they'd balance things out more in KDF vs Fed content that involves both player bases such as PvP.

Everything but the tier 6 ships are the same for all factions.

    Fed: 1 escort, 1 science, 2 cruisers
    Romulan: 1 escort, 1 cruiser
    KDF: 1 escort, 1 cruiser

If you mostly play Federation it's a decent deal. If you mostly play KDF or Romulan, it's not a good deal.

Have you checked >THIS< link? It sounds like you did, but then again it seems you missed the stuff at the bottom if you did.

You don't only get the 4 Fed, 2 KDF and 2 Romulan ships. In addition to them you get:

    - Talaxian Uniform
    - 3 upgrade tokens for 3 of your T5 ships
    - 3 Purple Boffs from the new career (Intelligence Officers)
    - 3 Purple Delta Quadrant Doffs
    - 3 Different forum titles with the Delta Quadrant theme

    Didn't see these asked elsewhere.

Are the three Ship Upgrade Tokens going to be account bound, character bound, or unbound? I would like to use one each on my Fed, KDF, and Rom; if they are character bound I would not be able to.

In regards to the three Intelligence Bridge Officers. It has, in parenthesis, that they are 'per faction.' Does this mean that they are claimable only once per faction? For example, my Romulan is aligned with the KDF. Would he be considered KDF or Romulan (as a separate faction) in this case? There have been previous cases where a Romulan was considered either Fed or KDF based on the alignment they chose, when dealing with faction specific rewards.

Cryptic, do yourself a favor and offer us faction-specific packs. Make yourself some more money.
I'm willing to support my faction and the awesome Klingon designs, but I'm not supporting those Fed garbage scows.

This please, I would also gladly buy a KDF pack for the two ships.

My question is if these new Rommie ships will finally enable us to get another full bridge and ship interior that doesn't look like it came out of a beater. I mean, come on, I'm flying the 1,000 day vet ship, the best in the fleet, and the paint is still coming off the walls. :P

I personally don't think you get 3 purple boffs or doffs. you probably only get 1 for each faction. Why would you need 3 purple intelligence bridge officers since you only get 1 console slot for them to sit at on your ship? However you will get 3 if you count that you get one for Roms, 1 for Feds and 1 for KDF.

Yea I'm on the same boat, not enough info. Unlike larger ships I need smaller ones that are extremely manuverable. I still haven't seen any ablative shielding either which is a dissapointment. A sector pass for sector for sector to sector travel would be nice instead of always having to acknowledge clearance to the next sector.

Same goes with the non existant 3 dimensional viewing system for charting courses and locating where you are within a 3 dimensional space needs improvement.

Lotta focus on the ships appearance but not a lot of focus on the ship itself so Delta's got my attention but might have to wait till I see it rock.

3 Int officers per faction is likely since there are Int/Tac, Int/Eng, and Int/Sci variations.

ok I thought it was just a new console for 1 new class but guess still 3 classes but now these are hybrid with int class, so these new boffs will get new skills that our current boffs dont/cant have...

If you remember that the kdf is a faction and gave more kdf ships I would buy it.
But I don't even have a fed character to use the fed ships with

In all the threads about the T5U upgrades and the new T6 ships, there has not been a question that just accured to me.

    What about the reputation tier's?

I currenlty have 3 tier's maxed out with all the MK XII gear that comes with these factions.

With the new MK XIII and MK XIV gear comming out, will the reputation system now have tier 6 to grind for to attain these new gear for each faction? With the leveling up to 60 we can still put these new gear on our T5U ships and I think they will be more than competitive for the new level 60 content until I eventually purchase a T6 ship.

So this is my question to Cryptic...

Unless of course I missed something in the threads about this...

Based on the YouTube videos from the current Tribble testing, the Delta Quadrant has its own Rep Marks. So Mk XIII/XIV gear could be part of a new Rep chain - as well as being Craftible. There is also a very good bet that DR will come with a new Fleet Embassy of some type, meaning your Fleet gear might get upgraded via that Embassy.

We really do not know, yet. We need to wait for more Dev Blogs.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

Some missions already give out upgrade components on tribble. Upgrading will be part of it.

I was impressed until I saw... $124.99.... which made me in awe... In how much the game has been monetized. I suppose this should be considered fair for the number of ships being provided in one pack and the extra benies in upgrade tokens and purple Doffs, but the first look still stings the wallet.
So I stand by my previous opinion. Really don't like that 4-nacelle "thing" that is supposed to be a cruiser. And neither the Escort nor the Science vessel have an aesthetic which says "This is a Starfleet Vessel."

The Guardian at least has the look of being Starfleet, but I gotta wonder what is Cryptic's fascination with bulky cruisers? To be perfectly blunt, that ship looks fat and frumpy. And given the recent design trend (Odyssey) no doubt the Guardian will be about the size of 3 Galaxy class starships combined.

Yeah, I'll stick with what I know, and what I definitely like. If the gameplay ends up being boosted up to the point that existing T5 ships cant run the content, then sayonara.
I have to say I really, really hate the visual design of the new fed ships. The romulan and Klingon at least have the familiar Star Trek design cues but the federation ones could be pulled from any generic space game, the cruiser in particular has a sort of neon battlestar vibe. They seem to have no Star Trek feel at all.

Yep, they will not get my money. Dear devs, you are ugly and your mother dresses you funny

    Interesting!

Since I am not a gold or silver member, I don't have the luxery of playing on Tribble. So to my understanding the current reputations that we have will have an upgrade path as well?:D

You are a silver member, anyone who isn't a gold member is a silver member automatically. Still Silver members do not have access to tribble right now.

The Faeht Intel Warbird just, by description, looks over-powered, but in a good way. I mean it has Enhanced Romulan Battle Cloak AND a 2-type Plasma Lance (yes, its a console and not integrated like the spinal lance). This ship could be potentially badass for a scientist or a tac captain. However, why did it take until now for the romulans to get a ship with the plasma lance? With like 75% of these ships, I now regret buying the ships I did and am now stuck with them. Not fair.

    Questions:

Will the very rare Intelligence Bridge Officers be reclaimable, or are they claimed once per character?

Are they claimed separately, or individually?

Do they appear in the inventory, candidate roster, or are recruited directly to the active roster?

I'm personally hoping that on the reps all ready done is that they may do a upgrade where you upgrade a XII to XIII or XIV especially since my build uses part borg build and uses the rom torpedo.

However cryptic like to dissapoint so I think they will become obsolete and we will have to use the delta quadrent to get our new deal and have the stuff they want.

But lets just wait and see.

I'm not hopeful on prior reps meaning much after this, Cryptic will certainly want a fresh time gate to give them some room to straighten things out and get some more work done on S10, etc.

Edit: From the looks of the latest push on Tribble, there is upgrading through the crafting system. It isn't fully functional yet, so not sure if rep gear and other sets (Jem'Hadar, Breen, etc) will be included in that system, though.

The Guardian-class concept art is looking less than appealing. Hopefully there are some cosmetic choices such as different necks and nacelles.
