As a person filled to the brim with auto repairing...or should I say autoregenerative Borg nanoprobes, I don't think aging is something she's even capable of. She's still a cyborg. It's like expecting a terminator to age. Then throw in the fact that Jeri Ryan herself hasn't aged much in the decade since. Who wants to age up Seven of Nine

I'd age her up, just because its logical. Okay so she could look good for her age. She's still been out of the Collective for over 30 years now. She's not some freshly-liberated drone anymore. By now she's spent more time the Daystrom Institute than she spent in the Collective. Wouldn't she have adapted (pun intended) to things like pants and flat-bottomed shoes and social skills by now? People change a lot over 30 years, especially when their lifestyles are dramatically altered.

And why's she wearing a commbadge anyways? Didn't she resign her commission?

She likely was a consultant or specialist in her work with Starfleet though she was given an official position according to the Path.
I could easily see her running a DQ briefing as part of the intro/first mission (I'm a little more worried on the other hand that she'll just become the anti-Borg/Undine contact.)

    Opinions on the outfits/models themselves:

Tuvok: Sharp uniform, I love it to bits. His head looks a little small, though, and the shoulders just a tad too broad.

The Doctor: Perfect. That is all.

Harry: Yup, he's still Ensign Generic. Not bad. Head's a little small, maybe.

Neelix: Yup, he's still irritating and garish. This model is good in the same way Sharknado 2 is good: Lovingly crafted, intentionally terrible "art".

Seven: The face looks...odd, and she's at least a cup size smaller than she was on TV. Not that that's a bad thing, necessarily. Not a clue why she's still wearing the catsuit, but she's hot enough, so my lizard brain is pleased.

    LOL! Good one. :P

I remember that episode. I remember crying because Jeri Ryan is a much better actor than the Rock (although the Rock's no slouch himself), and he was getting all these great lines and physical plays that made his (bit part) character cool and entertaining, and she was getting the same average Voyager writing TRIBBLE.

Nothing against Jeri Ryan, but 7 was eye candy. Pure and simple.

You know, I think I'd have a Trekgasm If I received a Hail from Janeway, Picard or Riker....

But HEARING Jeri's voice again as Seven !!!!

It just goes to demonstrate how much I miss classic Trek.

No offense to Ethan Phillips, but why did they have to bring back Neelix?

They're bringing him back because Janeway promoted him from just a regular Ambassador to Federation Ambassador to the Delta Quadrant.

This of course means he will probably be a very important figure in our journey to the delta quadrant, possibly even a source of information seeing as he stayed in the Delta Quadrant.

Wow. The game must be doing fairly well financially to afford the outlay required to get VO from these working actors. Even at minimum SAG scale rates four more can't be that cheap. VOY may not be my favorite Star Trek series, but it's still nice to see former Star Trek acting alumni willing to reprise characters in STO.

Im not a graphic artist, but Taco, cant you guys just use current photos of aged Jeri, and you obviously have had her, or will have her (if she hasnt recorded yet) in office, to just paint over her real pictures, and tweak the model to match her facial dimensions? It does seem odd you guys nailed Harry and the Doc, but missed wide right on Seven.

first thing we all notice XD, now for Cryptic... why doesn't she look anything like Jerry Ryan? As for her not aging... going to go with Nano Probes keeping up those good looks.

Well I have to admit this is a shock of the good kind! Well done Cryptic. :) Story wise I'm sold on Delta Rising, mechanic side I'm still on the fence. ;)

I have to say I'm really looking forward to seeing how these characters have grown in 30 years. According to the Path to 2409, Seven parted ways with Starfleet in protest when they disbanded the anti-Borg taskforce (prior to the Borg's return invasion at the start of the game), and the Doctor was declared sentient and joined a civilian think-tank group. So I'm really excited to learn who talked Seven in to returning and why the Doctor is back in uniform (and why not the Odyssey medical variant).

Finally Cryptic, how long have the players been begging you to add a Picard/Doctor hairstyle to the tailor? For the love of Q please make Seven, the Doctor, and Harry's hairs available for players!

Might want to watch Voyager again. Seven's nanoprobes were no longer an insta-heal after her link to the Collective was severed.

Actually same to you. Seven's nanoprobes are still functional. They may not be as functional as when they were fully supported by borg hardware but they're still capable of interacting with her physiology.

So, no insta-heal, no full nutritional supplementaiton, but they can probably still get around the problem of senescence.

This is also a question VOY never answer with End Game and cryptic has plenty of creative licence to take in any case.

People usually get to approve their own likenesses in games and toys and the such. I think its pretty unlikely Jerri Ryan is going to say "hey add those extra 10 lbs I've packed on in the last 10 years, and the couple of lines on my face that appeared at 35.

This is great news and I look forward to hearing them during X2:DR.

Based on that blog picture I think the character artist(s) did a fantastic job translating real-life, living, human beings into the characters (now aged) that we know and love.

    Wow!

(P.S. Thanks for the click-to-enlarge version of that pic... Any chance of a true, high-res, desktop wallpaper-worthy version, please? ...Maybe add in the Voyager somewhere in the image?)

(P.P.S. Love the look of the Odyssey uniforms in the pic. The civilian-wear that Neelix and 7 are sporting look quite appropriate and striking, as well.)

You can find/contact me in game as @PatricianVetinari. Playing STO since Feb 2010.

Species 8472 attacking earth might have given her sufficient motivation to rejoin. As for the Doctor I'm personally hoping for a replay of Bone's introduction from the Motion Picture.

How is Seven of Nine still looking so young? She was in her 30s at the time of Star Trek Voyager. That would put her in her mid-60s during STO.
