I must have been blind, I looked all monday for the fed ship but could not find it on my lvl 40 character.
Since it was not a regular sale item it showed as being available and not the usual 100% off text. I guess this made it more difficult to spot as I know it took me a minute or so longer to notice.
What should have been done was that the ship(s) should have been in a requisition box like the Dyson ships were. That way, if you were under-level, you had to wait until you were able to captain the ship before you could access it.
