One awesome one would be Kzinti

We've already got them. They're called Ferasans.

The deal with the Kzinti is, legally they belong to another IP. The only reason they're in Star Trek at all is because the TAS team decided to do a crossover with Larry Niven's Known Space series and Niven gave permission. Cryptic would have to negotiate with the Niven estate to get the Kzinti, which costs time and lawyers' fees.

Much simpler and cheaper to just make up your own race of cat people.

That too. It reminds me of that race that Tam Elbrun mentioned.... a sentient species that thinks so slowly that it literally takes them all day to have a conversation.

    Was he talking about Ents?

    Pakleds, Bajorans and the Mintakans

It would be cool if the Tal Shiar invaded Mintaka III and tried to enslave them kinda like the remans and then the Republic supports the Mintakan people and then we find out they come from Vulcan like the Romulans. I think something like that would be great.

I assume by "Alpha Quadrant" you actually mean Alpha and Beta Quadrants. . . ?

I've wanted to do something with the four Federation founding races for a while. Clean up Vulcan and Andoria, add Tellar Prime, maybe tack something onto SFA, and have a mission that leads you between worlds to learn about the founding of the Federation.

Still want to do Ferenginar as well.

Edit: I'll second Anazonda's suggestion on the Pakleds. I love those guys. Probably won't happen though, cuz Geko hates them.

Now that would be nice, as much i like all these do not forget the Klingon Side too. they really need some love. Also adding race specific questline just like how you guys did was the class specific questline that will be great.

I would love to see Andoria. Both the frozen surface and the subterranean tunnels that the Andorians live in.

Lets see what races would I like to see them develope more an delve into.
    1. Caitan/Fersian: I like the look an style though i would not mind more variation and delpth to them, while also being able to learn more on thier creation an seperation than what we learned from the doff missions.
    2. Trill/Blue-gill: Thier relationship between each other an how they came about outside of Iconian interaction. I have a each of my characters as a group of symbiotic/parasitic creatures related to the trill/blue-gil that are more of a external version that attaches over the skin an protects the host from the ravaged world they live on.
    3. Gorn: I love the look of them yet to me they are abit narrow in looks an would like to see more variation in thier looks, as honestly most fo them look like large humanoid crocs. Give them more variation like iguana, salamander, bearded dragons, and just more options o9f lizard-like designs would be nice to give more variation.
    4. Voth: I love the idea of these guys an thier style, but i would enjoy deleving into their background, worlds they have taken, and their homeworld in the Delta quadrant would be fun. even as a stand-alone story arc it would be interesting.
    5. Tholians: Definitely want them as they are one of the few multi-dimensional races, and maybe finding a group of them that broke off or were exiled for thier different thoughts to a world would be interesting way to look into them more.
    6. Mechanical/cybernetic races: Would love to learn more of the past, and such of the borg, yet i would hope the borg are not the sole race that is either a hybrid of mechanical an biological. Such as their might be races of fully robotic/mehcanical being like the ones that found Voyager 6. I mean out of any set-up of races these could be the most interesting as they have the most deversity in looks, styles, histories, and such as well as being very alien to most other races.
    7. The Dominion: The whole slew of races in the Dominion from the changelings to the Jem'hadar, as well as the many races from thier side fo the wormhole would be interesting to see an learn about, which with the looks of the new season might be coming. THough even looking into the wormhole aliens/Prophets, along with the Pah'wrath would be fun too.
    8. The Xindi: I would love to learn more about them an what has been going on science the sphere-builder's arc story-line in the Tv show. Maybe a story-line in-game of them trying to cloine/bring back the extinct Avian Xindi memeber race. Also just seeing the world an cities of a group of races that developed on a world together would be interesting. Since we have largely only seen worlds where a single intelegent race coming into sole dominence, while on the world of the Xindi there were four/five races coming to such a feat on a single world. Even a history of the conflicts between them an their missions of coming to unity as the Xindi we know now would be fun.
    9. Ocompa/Kess's race: I thought we were going to see some on this race, and what has happened, but as far as i saw we have not. I liked the idea an concept of them, even with looking more into the race of being that watched over them would be fun too. (kinda thought "the other" for the Iconians might have been the race looking over the Ocompa as they had alot of connection to sub-space.).

Well that is a short list of some i would like to see.

    Grazerites.

They had to be mostly concealed due to makeup/effects limitations. The Federation President from DS9 was one.

They're goat people. They're largely pacifistic. They're probably the closest thing Star Trek has to the Taurens from WoW. I can easily imagine their homeworld as being meadow like with a variety of world culture influences.

At no point in STO do we ever protect unambiguous good guys. The Deferi are the closest but their mind games and witholding of information grated on people. The Kobali have moral issues. The Bajorans get accused of being whiny, although I always liked them.

I'd like to see a species with a beautiful home who both need and deserve our defense and support in exploration efforts. And I think the Grazerites could supply that.

Maybe put them under attack by the Selay or Na'kuhl.

New Romulus is interesting but it isn't... lived in. I think the Grazerites could give us a setting both exotic and lived in enough that we can get the personal stories some MMOs have about lost sons, disappearing cousins, separated lovers, etc.

On a related note, I'd like to see the Ariannians and Cheronians (the black and white people of "Let That Be Your Last Battlefield") get a STO treatment.

And while I'm not sure they conventionally qualify, I'd gladly spend five to ten episodes sorting out the Q.

    - gorn, they should leave the kdf empire
    - orion
    - tholian
    - voth
    - borg; i would like to know how they are born and their history. they are fascinating and scary.
    - more knowledge about the vulcanoid races (debrunes etc)
    - and even some dead civilizations, just for having the pleasure of explore ruins; t'Kon empire etc

i'm not interested by the members of the federation. the federation is boring.

Ferengi, Andorians, Orions, Cardassians, Gorn, Tellarites, Breen, Bajorans...hey listen...take your pick and flesh em out one by one! In order for this MMO to survive, it has to expand from the perspective of species and home planets so there are places to go and see. That's the route of most MMO's.

Terran Imperials are the mostest coolest in the galaxy and we need more. Also, in before necro-lock.

Humanoids, humanoids everywhere! I would like to see the Horta get some attention in STO (as they have elsewhere in Star Trek comics and novels), and I still want them as a playable race. No excuses! Edosians would be cool, too.

Tellarites have gotten no love at all, and they are Founders of the Federation.

I would like to see all of the Xindi races developed both as NPC's and as playable races.

I would like to see more of the Romulan subject races explored. Hirogen, possibly, but there are supposedly as many races in Romulan space as in the Federation.

I would love to see the Pakled as a playable race, even though more informed posters assert this will never happen.
