Not so long ago (less than a week) a certain HOBO claimed his fleet was unbeaten in the current time frame in a private match. Does RE agree with that statement or is it a battle of the current titans to determine the validity of that statement?

Please leave Raumpatrouille Elysion out of such a discussion. We are neither interested in such a discussion, nor do we wish to be part of it.
Whoever claims to be the best should do so....we couldn't care less. RE fought 2 matches against HOBO during the last year. First one was a private match with no clickable consoles allowed, second was the final of the last tournament. We couldn't win both.
And one more thing: If it helps to end this discussion before it even starts =>At least I agree with that statement ( but i would do so even if a Borg Cube claims to be the best). I can't speak for the rest of the fleet but i think we have a common attitude when it comes to such a discussion.

We enjoyed the tourney and it gave us great pleasure due to the fact that everyone could be thrilled with their favorite teams live on twitch which is comparable to an international sports event broadcasted on tv.
However IC kinda experienced "bad luck" when it came to the very important matches like the game against HOBOS. As we were starting the challenge one of those moderators was accidentally assigned to our pvp-team while one of our team comrades, which was even one of our CC - healers, were part of the Moderators' allied team". Those unforseen circumstances complicated the execution of our strategies and the coordination inside our team itself. As a result we were lacking 1 healer. He was still capable of assisting us with his subnukes and his cc-abilities but he hardly could heal somebody. In the run of the match it was noticeable that the heals of the 2 remaining sci ships weren't sufficient.
Another factor, which played only a minor role though, was their clever spawn camp assault right from the beginning of the match: We literally got into red alert right after warping into the map. This move definetely surprised us and we still hadn't set up our keybinds yet. We couldnt blame those guys since it was kinda our own fault that we hadn't been all set for the match before entering arena.
Anyway, we tried our best in order to rapidly adapt to the new situation but in the end it we couldnt make it and so we suffered a close defeat of 4:6 after 30 min.
Normally that match would have been stopped and the challenge reset according to the arrangements of the mods because disordered team constellations already happened in previous matches during this event. But due to the time difference between north america and germany, those guys had to go to work and so we just finished it without repeating it in order to indicate sportsmanship regarding their RL. Real life has a higher priority than virtual life of course.
In my conclusion I am convinced that we definetely could have performed better against them without those exceptional circumstances and these mistakes we made.
Personally I would welcome it if we play more matches against Hobos in future

And we have no one to blame but ourselves for taking a fail strat against RE. We should have practiced more seriously and just gone ahead with some of the other plans instead.

The main difference is that HOBO guys aren't warpers.
Whereas the RE guys will warp on teams they view as running a setup that directly counters theirs.
Those guys want to force everyone to run their same stupid setup in games. They hate any CC, because they don't run any sci vessels or counters to abilities. They run a dumb 3 recluse healer setup, with 2 escorts.
I can only agree to snog The BIG difference between HOBOS and RE is that firstly, they never warped out on us, secondly, they deserved the tournament victory because they practiced alot more and they were ready to spend immense amount of ec in order to test a huge variety of different builds and combos.
The only reason why RE is warping on us now was a public arena match between us and them a couple of days ago with the excuse that we'd have utilized excessive spam in our builds, which is still a mystery for us since we simply ran 3x copies of ewp and 3x grav wells and a single copy of TIF nothing else. Surprisingly after that match they put us on the same level like the -FS- regarding the amount of CC on them according to their statement. (if they logged that match with their act, it will confirm my statement).
I assume that RE has never witnessed the cheese fest of -FS- or SOB at its best in S5, S6 and in the beginning of S7. For that reason all their criticism and complaints against us are simply unjustified.

People want respect and credit for winning in pvp, fact is however that lots of people are rather bad at losing and instead of blaming the game designs or look at their inability to counter certain moves right (be it lack of knowledge, or simply beeing on the wrong setup), they rather blame the opponents and try to avoid to take on the challenge.
Striking fear into the opponents hearts up to the point that they instantly run and beam from you and accept their defeat without even trying to play is one of the biggest achievements ever in pvp, enjoy your victories as thats what they are. Grats!
Again they are trying to manipulate the community by defamation.
We are not interested in further discussions about this topic.
If any, we just want the public to have a chance to form its own opinion.
We have good reasons for not pvping IC anymore, except for tourneys.
But it's none of the given by hannibal.
For a couple of days IC is trying to make this topic public, probably because of their attention issues.
If anyone is really interested in more information about it, they are always welcome on our teamspeak.

We didn't warp out during the match, we warped before the match could even start. And the current posts from IC Members are a good example why we warp on them. Their comments sound like "Oh Naz, why didn't you mention IC" when referring to current titans.
Their playstyle is not the reason of our warping, since we play against them for years and their playstyle ever has been the same (Hannibal described it). We just can't stand them personally. They are so full of themselves that they even write in this threat in which everything of importance had been said after the third post, not to mention that their comments are off topic as well.
All Elysion did was to use 3 full healer in the last tournament, and we got insulted in different forums, live chat during the match, and behind our backs on other Teamspeak Server just for that. And if you look at the posts in this thread Snogg even continues now to criticize us for that reason.
To make it clear once and forever: RE will warp on you guys everytime from now on. We will fight against IC in tournaments only. We are going to train with one of the other fleets that also refuses to fight IC in private matches instead. You know guys, the one David described as a "third class fleet" quite obviously.

You have no reasons. You and your team are just cowards who can't handle losing.
For the record, we have never warped out on you guys even we had the wrong builds and lost matches. We just take it as a loss and accept it. The reason it's a bad thing to warp is that it completely undermines the point of the queue system.
It's hard enough to get matches going, that if everyone warped out whenever they saw things they didn't like, no one would play against each other.
That's a horrible precedent you're setting in the queues by warping.
You're basically telling people that it's ok to leave matches whenever stuff happens in it you don't like. That kind of behaviour I expect from pugs who are outmatched, not from full teams.
And that's the kind of a ****ty attitude that will keep your team from reaching the level of a team like HOBO.

It is our right to blaim you for your playstyle if you do the same to us after writing **** in OPVP after the match. And Snogg, you can post as much screenshots as you want, things wont change. We didn't comment on your playstyle for 2 years....and then there was a tournament when we brought 3 Recluse....that was the reason for you guys to write ****. And you didn't stop until now :rolleyes:
Actually there are enough people we like and the other way around....and yeah as you mentioned, at least for our fleets there wont be any more "playing".
Just because some people are stupid enough to forget their good behaviour just because it's taking part in the internet, doesn't mean we are not allowed to avoid them as good as possible.
But you are the greatest fleet to ever play this game and we just tremble in fear, that's why we need "excuses" to warp out. At least that's how all of your saying sounds.
Theres someone in both of those who's in the current premade. :P

No one was flying as much as we against you in the past year.
We have lots of very good reasons to end these relations with you. ..Just like lots of others who are warping on you....like Omega, Umbra, and even pugs.
And it's defenitly not because of losing, since we won 9 out of 10 matches the last 3 month.
Thats whats really bothering you now. Like yesterday when you realized that you won't get a pop for the rest of the night when we warped on you.
Pretty fun to see the steaming in opvp afterwards ^^

Those are the only ones I can find that are recent, apart from the tourney loss. You have never attained that efficiency you've talked about.
