Stelam looks at Gerrard. Gerrard shrugs.

"I have no question, at least none that she would answer." he says.

Stelam leans back. "I guess I get to ask then." he says, looking her in the eye. "Okay. What I want to know is... what's Earth like? And no one sentence or one word answers please." He smiles.

”That depends on what you mean by the question,” She smiles. “San Francisco, where the Academy is located, is moderate in the summer and cool in the winter. Frankly, I don’t know how those accustomed to hotter climes adjust to it, to be honest. It’s… unique. As far as I’ve been told, at any rate. I was born on a station and was sent to Earth as an infant after my parents were killed. I have been to no other planet until now so I really haven’t much experience to compare Earth to anything else.” She says wistfully.

The Water arrives and glasses are poured. Aiel fingers the rim of her glass as she thinks. “In the mornings during spring you could walk out and look over the bay. There was a nearly obsequious fog that clung to the water, usually dissipating as the late morning sun burned it away, but you could still smell the sea air tinged with the sweet aroma of deciduous trees coming to life. There’s a particular bird that habits the freshwater and is sometimes seen near the coastline. It’s called a Pacific Loon. It makes a sound that… that I can’t manage to replicate but it’s hauntingly beautiful. They say there’s whales in the bay as well,” she takes a sip of the water, “but I’ve never managed to see them.”

She takes another drink then smiles. “Well, that’s it for me tonight. I have a busy day tomorrow counting Vivver Cats and studying ferns.” She stands and stretches, “and you have a house to build, if I’m not mistaken.” She nods to the Vulcan, “Gerrard.” Then looks to Stelam. “Captain.” She settles the tab at the counter then leaves for home.

"That was a rather interesting question, Captain." Gerrard says.

"Yes, well, I thought I might as well ask seeming as I'll never get to go there." Stelam replies.

Gerrard gets up. "I do believe it's time for me to leave. Do you want me to look into anything?" he asks.

"Hmm. How well documented is the luminous moss here?" Stelam asks, his brow creasing.

"I do believe that they have a team located on it, but not in the sector that Miss Aiel was in." Gerrard answers, starting to soumd curious.

"Really. I want you to look into this scientist... try and find out his name, or if anything is around there." Stelam says.

"I'll bring Jolan and Yah, just in case any Hunters show up. If the Romulan is still there, we will find him. And if he is really studying moss, then he won't mind the company." Gerrard says.

He bows to Stelam, then puts his money on the table for the bill, also handling the tip. Stelam nods at him and looks toward the sky. He hasn't seen such a beautiful sky since his early years on ch'Rihan. Though he doesn't remember much, the sky is his most vivide memory. He sighs, gathers Gerrards money, pays the bill, and leaves. He waves off his friends, who came out of the pub, saying that he needs his sleep. He is so deep inhis mind that he makes it half way to his old home before he realizes what happened. He quickly makes his way to his new house. Already he felt kindred with this world, and knew that when he leaves, if anyone asks his planet of origin again, he would say mol'Rihan. He smiles as he enters his house, and that very same smile stays with him as he falls asleep.

She walked under the darkening sky, the shadows of evening fading into night. In a few more hours the crater would be vacant but with Hirogen stalking around the last thing she wanted to do was to be out there without the protection of daylight. Her initial plan to investigate the caves under the cover of darkness was a bust. That, and she had to procure a new sidearm before heading back to work. A pair of armed Romulan guards marched past her. Obviously the report of Hirogen presence resulted in increased security, which was to be expected. However, this too provided its own set of complications.

She turned a corner and headed towards her home. It had been quiet these past two days, and for that she was thankful. She reached her door and unlocked it. “Lights” she barked before even entering.

After ensuring she was genuinely alone and the doors and windows were secured, she removed a tricorder from her satchel and began a sweep for any listening devices or other bugs. After thoroughly scanning every inch of space she set the tricorder to emit a high-resonance squelch just in case she overlooked something. If anyone was listening, all they’d hear is the sound of static.

She then went to her bed and removed a small case and opened it. Within, there was a glove and a visor. The tech was advanced. Very advanced According to Drake it was a little procurement from the Solanae Dyson Research Team in exchange for ‘a favor’. She never asked that that favour was, exactly. “Lights dim to 40 per cent.” The lights responded and Aiel found a comfortable place to sit, then slipped the visor over her eyes and pulled the glove onto her hand.

“Authorization Epsilon Theta Three. Aiel L’lwyn.”

’Authorization Epsilon Theta Three, Aiel L’lwyn. Voice print recognized. Prepare for retinal scan.’ a generic voice sang in her ear. An instant later a bright, focused beam shone in her eyes. ’Retinal scan complete. Authorization granted.’

“Access anything on a Romulan botanist named Talven currently stationed on mol'Rihan

’Searching databases... Subject: Talven Damos, Chief Xenobotanist aboard the Romulan Republic science research vessel , the RRW Thespa. Arrived on New Romulus stardate 81376.01. It was partially upon Damos’ findings on Dewa III which led Romulan intelligence to send exploratory missions to the planet, now known as New Romulus and home to approximately 11,532 alien species, mostly Romulan and Reman.’

Aiel frowned. Everything seemed to make perfect sense but that nagging sensation in her gut was there still, as strong as ever. “Display rendering from map taken from my position in the crater yesterday. “

In her view, a holographic rendering of her sketch appears. “Overlay on existing topographical data of the same area.”

A photorealistic image of the area surrounding the crater appears. The previous image is stretched to match and laid on top, matching almost perfectly. The areas that she was unable to sketch are filled in neatly. “Highlight cave. Isolate and give me a cutaway.”

The area of the cave illuminates brightly, and then rotates to show a 3 dimensional side view of the caverns.

    “POV mode on”

The image changes again. In her view, the walls of the caverns fill around her in a perfect holographic rendering. It’s as if she’s standing in the mouth of the cave again.

“Increase visibility and illumination by sixty percent.”

The area lightens considerably, making it much easier to navigate.

    “Take me to the lab.”

Unlike an actual holodeck were one can interact almost seamlessly with their environment, this device “moves” her down the path, retracing her steps until she comes back to Talven’s lab.

    “Stop here. Exits.”

’The only visible exit is via the passage you entered from.’

Aiel thinks, then “Confirm with recorded geological records. Show me a cutaway of the cavern in its entirety.”

The view changes back to the cutaway image. ’Comparing known records with geological data in Starfleet and Romulan records. Rendering results now.

Levels of additional caverns winding and twisting their way downward appear hundreds of meters of labyrinth previously unseen until they suddenly stop.

“What’s at the end of this final corridor?”

    ’That information is unknown.’

Aiel looks at the map curiously. “Where is the point of entry to these caverns?”

    ’That information is unknown.’

    “Retrace from the termination point.”

A bright line of light serpentines its way from the dead-end, winding its way through twists and turns until it reaches another dead-end. Aiel sighed. The cavern connects just on the other side of Talven’s lab.

“Just what are you up to?” She said to herself absently.

’Unknown query. Please rephrase the question.’

“Disregard command. Save data to file. New query.”

    The image disappears.

“Access data files on the following: Romulan pirate known as Stelam. Known accomplice, a Vulcan named Gerarrd. Current location, mol'Rihan. Extend search to Federation, Romulan and Klingon databases as well as the Ferengi Black Market . I want details on any known records, activities, sightings, subspace chatter… even bar room rumours. If either of their names or descriptions come up, I want the details.”

    ”Accessing…’

She thought, then added, “Additional querry: I want the same data on Captain Jacob Downy of the Competitor and Captain Deveros of the Sun Tzu. Include any and all known accomplices, contacts, distant relatives or casual friends.”

’Query parameters are too wide. Please refine search.’

“Just get me everything you have on those individuals from every resource. Activate a stealth worm after the search is complete. I don’t want anyone seeing what we were looking for.”

She removed the visor and glove, returned them to their hiding place and laid back on the bed.

‘A storm is coming’, Drake had cautioned her prior to the onset. ‘There are forces at work conspiring to undermine not just the individual factions of the Federation, Romulans or the Klingons, but of the entire galaxy. Termites in the foundation of everything hell-bent on their purpose: total, wide scale desolation. And D’Tan, I fear, is at the center of it all.’

Aiel considered this as she closed her eyes to sleep. She’ll need to find a way to get close to D’Tan, that much was obvious. But how? “Lights” she called out, and the room went dark.

Tomorrow, she thought, was going to be an interesting day indeed.

[OOC]Ok. You guys now have an assignment LOL I’ll allow you to fill in whatever blanks the computer will find on you. Keep in mind that this is searching all databases, including black markets. I’m not saying it will pull up everything on you but should help “fill in the blanks” if you know what I mean. Cheers![/OOC]

Retrived from Francis Drake personal database

Current assignment: USS Sun Tzu, covert protector and watch dog for Tau Dewa Sector. Preserver of Romulan/Federation Treaty. Mission is Black epsilon and Answers to President only. Assigned to Aid D'tan in gathering intel on Tal Shiar and stopping their efforts if possible.

    Known Allies and contacts:

Rekal Deveros- Deceased-Daughter-Child(Killed in Tal Shiar attack)
Nevala Rovan- Wife-Deceased-Female-(Died in Tal Shiar attack)
    D'tan-Romulan Procouncel
Kurn, son of Rodek of House Norgga, Klingon Intelligence-Commander of IKS Seraphim Shadow
T'rell Rovan- Leader of Star Raptors pirate organization-Criminal. Wanted for destruction of orian vessels in both romulan and Klingon space. Theft of Advanced Romulan Dyson Destroyer, Destruction of romulan vessels, possibly Tal Shiar warbirds.(not yet proven.) Firing on Republic vessels(no deaths reported.)

Deveros, WIlliam J personnel Intel file Written by Francis Drake.

Deveros is trained in expert hand to hand, Ship piloting, Rifle training, computer hacking, and interrogation. Should be noted that his grandmother was Betaziod. Deveros is a man who keeps to himself and trusts no one to be or do more than their own nature dictates. He can be hard to work with because he is straight forward and lacking in any diplomacy skills. Do not allow his jovial demeanor to fool you. He is high educated and intelligent, able to glean information from others by paying attention to body language and what one do not say as oppose to what one does say. Deveros Prefers to do things his own way and in that regard does not always work well with others however his is more than able to get the job done if he is left in command. It is this reason he has been given great autonomy as he needs very little oversight. Deveros has seemed to developed a hatred for the Tal Shiar. Reports of his families deaths seem to be a result of a Tal Shiar attack. (Picture of Deveros and family provided. In pictures one would see a romulan woman holding a Human/romulan hybrid female toddler who looks like Aeil as a child. -Part of his reasons for wanting her in his crew. She reminds him of his daughter.-)After his Family was killed he seems to keep to himself, never letting anyone to close and trusting no one. Deveros speaks many languages including, Romulan, vulcan, Klingon, Cardassian, Reman, and others. Deveros has a mind which allows him to see the components of things instead of the thing itself. Example: During his entry exam, he was asked to decribe a picture of a tricorder. He was able to list the components and in a later test, was able to reprogram a tricorder for unintended uses. During his time as a cadet, his was only the second cadet to defeat the Kobyashi maru mission by using holographic projections to trick the enemy ships into firing on each other while the damaged ship's crew was rescued. Deveros is dangerous, cunning, sneaking, and a master tactician and would be a perfect covert officer if not for his dislike to follow orders. Deveros was not chosen to work in my department but is considered a valuable asset. He can be trusted, but DO NOT cross him. If you do, he will prove more trouble than he is worth.

    --Francis Drake--

Jacob ordered full power to the starboard shields in case whatever they were doing failed. As the Scimitar slowly turned towards the Competitor, Kolez kept pounding it with plasma beams. Just as the Scimitar exposed it's cannons, however, the two ships decloaked, and shredded through the weakened shields and the aft hull with overloaded shots from their weapons. Jacob saw on his scanners that the Scimitar tried to cloak, but was failing. He hadn't thought that the antiproton sweep would have lasted this long, but he was thankful it did. He saw an ion stream hit the extremely damaged Scimitar, and the sensors determined that the Dreadnought was trying to warp away. Before it could execute the jump, Jacob had the Chief Transporter Officer scan for and beam a member of the Dreadnought's crew aboard directly to the brig, and disarm all weapons while he was in the Transporter stream. When this was done, he contacted William.

"I have beamed a crew member from the Dreadnought to my brig when its shields were down. I was wondering if you would like me to transfer this captive over to your ship, seeing how it was you that the Dreadnought attacked."

Jacob recorded the message, and sent it to the USS Sun Tzu. He sat back down in his chair, which he hadn't noticed he had left during the fight, ordered the hangar to recall the attack ships, and awaited the response from William.

"I would not think to deprive you of the spoils of war however, i would like to beam over to your ship to question the prisoner." Will responded to Dowry's message. Then he thought to himself, "Wort Faelirh ch'susse-thrai! khoi-udt Tal Shiar.... Do they wish to take everything from me? I will destroy them this time. I will crush them and cast them into the wind." Will thought for a bit more, planning his next move. Shame that romulan didnt stick around, she might have seen them coming. T'rell was somehow able to. Will planned to ask him how. "Open a channel to D'tan." Will ordered from his ready room. After some time, D'tan appeared on his screen, "Hello my friend what can i do for you?" D'tan asked.

"Well, i was wondering if you have any news." Will asked.

"Well that romulan woman you seemed to be interested in found herself in some trouble. She was hurt, attack by hirogen it appears. We recovered one of the bodies."

    "One of?"

"It appears there might of been more. Im sorry we done have much data."

"I see. How bad was she hurt?"

"Not very. One of our scientist were able to render her assistance."

"A scientist, helped her with hirogen? What could a scientist have done against them? Who were they?"

"Again, we dont has all the facts. It was seen as an isolated incendent."

"D'tan you know better. Hirogen HERE. You know as well as i who they are working with."

"I know my friend..." D'tan looked tired and worried over the com, "I will continue to gather information to aid you. If help you can give me against the Tal Shiar will be very helpful."

"Jolan tru my friend. Stay in touch." Will said in parting. He knew Aiel didnt really want his help, but she may need it. It was strange, she looked so much like his daughter, Will felt a need to help her. He had his Mek'leth placed in a box and beamed into her home with a note which read, "Next time make sure YOU do the hunting. Dont make me come back down there Sparky but i will if i have to." Will was keeping up with his jovial ruse but he did mean the words and he hoped she knew those words were an offering to help as much a joke. Time would tell. Will sat back and did something he hated doing. Waiting.

    Starfleet Criminal Report: Stelam Jhaelaa

    Name: Stelam Jhaelaa
    Species: Romulan
    Gender: Male
Age: Aproximate 20 (At time of capture, 16)
    Occupation: None
Warrants: 6 coumts of Attack on Fed vessels, 5 acts of piracy, 2 charges of murder and manslaughter, 1 count of escaping custody of Admiral

    Notes, by psychologist Rina Thell:
I had the pleasure to meet the pirate (he calls himself that) Stelam Jhaelaa during his incarceration on the U.S.S. Vienna. He had been captured on a colony planet when the rest of his crew had been run off by away teams. He had been sitting in the brig for hours when I got there. He seemed rather happy and joked with me for the first hour, answering my questions with a smile the second, and when I tried to get him to answer some classic psyche questions, he gave me all the answers that would lead someone to believe that he had never seen violence before and had never picked up a weapon in his life. He was playing me, because he had been captured sword covered in blood in his hand. I left him there with some bread and water. The next day he had questions for me. He asked if I had ever heard Chopin, Beethoven, and Mozart. Of course I had heard of then, if not any of their music. I told him this and he said, and I quote, 'How can you be human and not have heard the best music from your planet!?'. It quite suprised me. We had the classic 'I'm a psychopath' psyche conversation. Ever day for four days this happened, and each I came back with a different diagnosis. Untill a Romulan warbird decloaked with five warp shadows that we thought were ships. It atracked, and while our shields had been down, beamed Stelam out, and warped out. From the short time I had with him, I would caution you against physical combat, seeming as he told me he is a master swordsman. Do not be fooled into higher thinking or tricks either, despite his jovial attitude he is clearly intelligent and educated in body language, psychology, and strangly human classical music. Use extreme caution when trying to apprehend.

Klingon Defense Force Public Enemy #1: Stelam Jhaelaa

    Accessing Federation Database...
Accessing Personal Files: Captain Jacob Richard Downy...
    Files Accessed, Displaying...

    Early Life:
Jacob was born in Berlin, Stardate 47480.82191780805. His father is Paul Downy, a member of the local government (personal file location: Number 32786), and his mother is Samantha Richards, unemployed (Personal file location: Number 33091). Jacob is also the nephew of the late Samuel Richards, who was a renowned medical doctor (personal file location: Number 32569). Jacob grew up in Berlin until he was 18, when he moved to San Francisco to become a cadet at Starfleet Academy in the field of Material Engineering and Biological Engineering. Little more is known about his early life other than he graduated with flying colors at the age of 22.

    Starfleet Career:
Jacob was first assigned to the USS Competitor NCC-999999 one week after graduating from the Academy. He served under Captain William Richards, his cousin, until Richards was transferred to the USS Broadsword (personal file location: Number 34129). When this happened, Jacob became the first officer on board the vessel and Kent Saxon became the captain (personal file location: Number 33450). However, several months later, the USS Competitor was lost in a battle with Klingons, along with its captain. Jacob managed to escape with the remainder of the crew in escape pods and was rescued by the USS Broadsword. When he reported back to Starfleet, they gave him command of the Competitor NCC-999999-A, a Dominion Dreadnought that had been found drifting in the Alpha Quadrant. Jacob lead this ship for several years, gathering more and more alien technology to add to its arsenal and eventually became the official testbed for alien tech acquired by Starfleet. After six years of commanding this ship, Jacob Downy was offered a position at Starfleet Academy as the Professor of Material Engineering due to his work with Neutronium and scanning devices that resulted in vastly improved scanning devices (prototype file location: Starfleet Prototype Number 5642). Jacob took command of the Competitor again after a few Cadets blew up his classroom with some Tritium that was going to be used in a lab. He has recently be sent to New Romulus to retrieve two Scorpion Fighters and remotely teach his class.

OoC: Great job he has been doing on that last part.

("I would not think to deprive you of the spoils of war however, i would like to beam over to your ship to question the prisoner." Will responded to Dowry's message.)

OoC: Accidently deleted the first quote thing and forgot what is needed to be typed to start a quote, so that was what I am quoting.

Replying to William, Jacob said, "Ok, beam to these coordinates. I wish to beam down to the planet, so my first officer, Sheecoyoo, will meet you there. And don't forget, I require Starfleet regulations to be enforced on my ship, so no torture, and also, this meeting will be recorded."

Jacob stood up, and walked down to the Transporter pad. Stepping onto it, he beamed down, and walked into his house. He decided to wait until the next morning to head out into New Romulus, and settled down for a good night's sleep.

[OOC] Heh - I'm excited to read it all, actually! It will take me a little time to digest, and I have meetings today so will be away from the puter.... and I figured it was unfair for me not to provide the same info on Aiel should any of you do a databse search, so that will be coming soon... cheers![/OOC]

OFFICIAL STARFLEET FILE: L’LWYN, AIEL SRIAL: 73885372

L’lwyn, Aiel. Rank: Cadet (DISCHARGED). Gender: Female. Age: 20 (Earth approx). Species: Romulan. Birth parents: DECEASED, stardate 68280.54 after fleeing the Tau Dewa sector of space aboard an alien tradeship following the Hobus Supernova. Aiel survived and was later handed over to Starfleet personnel in the Regulus Block, then to Earth, where she was raised by Human adoptive parents Marcus and Elizabeth L’lwyn.

Joined Starfleet Academy at the age of 15, stardate 79447.6. Being Romulan her physical attributes were more developed than Humans of the same age and was therefore permitted early admittance to the Academy. Psychiatric profiling shows Aiel L’lwyn has an issue with structured chains of command, often arguing orders her superiors and crewmembers. Despite several disciplinary actions taken, Aiel continued her insubordinate behaviour. Received a general discharge from the Academy on stardate 86447.6.

    Overall Test Scores:

    Ground:

    Tactical Training, armed: 65%
    Tactical Training, unarmed: 74%
    ZG Combat Training: 63%
    Hand-To-Hand, armed (small blades): 57%
    Hand-To-Hand, armed (large blades): 63%
    Hand-To-Hand, unarmed: 73%

    Space:

    Targeting Systems: 65%
    Projectile Training: 73%

The list goes on, all average scores. Nothing extraordinary.

Despite receiving low marks on all fields of study and her previous disciplinary record, Cadet L’lwyn was offered an opportunity to continue her studies in the Academy for an additional two years. She declined and was offered a general discharge. After leaving the Academy she left for New Romulus where she continues to live to this date.

[OOC]There’s her official file. I’ve sprinkled some little tidbits hidden in there for the curious of you! I’ll be back later today to continue the story… however, don’t let that stop the rest of you from having fun![/OOC]

Stelam wakes to the blaring alarm of his clock. He hits it and gets out of bed slowly, groaning. He hadn't sleep well at all, and he doesn't know why. He just had a feeling something horrible would happen. He shakily gets out of bed.

"Computer, classical track 8, please." he said as he starts to get dressed. It was pretty early in the morning, as he likes to wake at this time.

"Yes sir." The Computer replies, and Chopin's Nocturne's starts to play.

Stelam sighs and just listens for a while, moving his fingers with the notes. He then moves to the kichenette, and makes breakfast. He eats it quietly, as Nocturne's ends and Tarantella starts. He finishes, cleans, and goes to his terminal.

Gerrard had sent a messsge detailing his finding on Aiel. Stelam reads it, doubting everything that it said about her abilities.

"Must have had a teacher she pissed off..." he mutters. He closes it and deletes it.

He stretches, orders the computer to stop playing and moves toward the door. As he walks out, he notices a group of Klingons turn the corner away from his house. One looks over his shoulder and smiles at Stelam. A malicious smile. Stelam's eyes widen and he walks very fast toward the Staging Area. Maybe he is paranoid, but you never knew with Klingons. He walks to his work, and starts. He can't shake the feeling that he is being watched

Aiel reviewed the data with focused interest. Devros’s record didn’t impress her nearly as much as the death of his Romulan wife and daughter at the hands of the Tal Shiar. That, and if Drake considered Devros a loose cannon then the warning was well warranted. She looked at the image of Devros and his family in happier times. A sadness struck her as she ran a finger over the cheek of the infant’s image. Pushing the thought aside, she flipped to the next report, Stelam. It read to her like more of a psych profile than an official report. She knew he was broken, that much was obvious by how desperately he attempted to hide it from others, a tempest beneath a thin veneer. The words “murder and manslaughter” stood out to her.

“You have killed,” she had said to him during their time on the Sun Tzu, “but only when you had to. Never in cold blood.” Was she wrong about this man? Was he truly nothing more than a monster pretending to be a Romulan, hidden beneath a cloak of inanity? Three more words sang out to her; the Klingon’s order to kill on sight. New Romulus was home to many species, Klingon included, with visitors from the Empire arriving daily. What purpose could he possibly have for placing himself in such a precarious situation? Either he truly was stupid, or crazy, or both. ’Or, she thought to herself, ’he’s a another piece of the puzzle I’ve been sent here to fit together.

She scrolled again. Jacob Downy. She shook her head as she read the report, particularly that of Section 31. She knew she wasn’t the only operative her. Section 31 is everywhere. His man whom she has yet to meet, however, may present a problem for her. It is highly unlikely that either would recognize each other for what they were as Drake is usually air-tight when it comes to maintaining an operative’s cover at al costs. The fact that this information was so readily available in her search instantly led her to two possible conclusions. First, it’s a false entry left for whomever may go snooping around in his files. Of what purpose that would serve she was unclear. The other possibility is that Drake wanted her to see this information exposing his identity. Still, the same question rang true. Her eyes drifted to the gift left for her. Aside from repairing her door and fixing her replicator, Downy, in his philanthropic zealousness, left her a weapon. A elegantly curved blade of Klingon design meant for disarming and, among other things, disembowelling one’s enemies. A mek'leth She never really cared for Klingon weaponry but this particular blade style had always attracted her, there was something romantic about it. She ran a finger along the blunt side of the blade, the cold steel comforting her somewhat. She packed up her belongings and got ready for the day.

Stepping outside, she stretched in the morning sun, enjoying the warm air. Her reverie was disputed by the sound of several Klingons making their way down the road muttering in their harsh, guttural tongue.

One looked up to see her staring. “What are you looking at, baktag

She didn’t respond; she just watched as they went about their business up the road.

The lead Klingon grunted at the idiot that insulted Aiel.

"We are here fo one romuluSngan. Not random ones in the street!" he says.

The Idiot grunted. "She was looking at us funny!" he complains.

She didn't speak Klingon. Not fluently at any rate. She knew certain words and phrases, enough to get her by... or killed, depending on one's point of view. But it didn't really matter what language they spoke in. Nearly all speak the same when it came to body posturing. Look at just about any race know in the Alpha, Beta and Gamma Quadrant; when one is afraid, their lower their posture and move more cautiously as to avoid detection. When they are angry they bare teeth and clench fists, ready for an attack. Heart rates soar, pupils dilate, nostrils flare. When they are excited it is much like anger in the sense of their pulmonary systems but their body posture changes significantly. That same sense of posturing quickly allowed her to ascertain the hierarchy of the group. The one that cursed at her was the Gamma male. The weakest link of the pack. The other two were betas and the one that barked at the gamma, he was the Alpha of the group. The lynchpin.

She watched the group until they disappeared around a corner and bit her lip. She shouldn't get involved, she knew that. She also knew that if she stuck her nose in the middle of a Klingon's affairs she'd be lucky to pull her head back with that nose intact. Everything logical and sensible told her to leave it alone. To just walk away.

She spat on the ground and began to follow them. She never listened to the rational part of her when she was younger and she saw no point in starting now. Besides, she read their body language.

    They were on the hunt.

The Klingons did not notice Aiel following them. They were too focused on finding their prey. Or rather, the perfect spot to kill their prey. They know where he works, and where he lives. They hope to set up an ambush to attack this one on his way home. They walk around for a while, bickering on places, pointing and argueing. The Leader finally decides to split his forces, and put them in a cross way of alleys. Directly in the middle of Stelam's way home.

An Orion and Andorian had watched the groups and started following after Aiel had. They now sit and talk in a restaraunt, obviously waiting. They have swords and pistols.

An Orion and Andorian had watched the groups and started following after Aiel had. They now sit and talk in a restaraunt, obviously waiting. They have swords and pistols.

Aiel had enough tactical training to know an ambush when she saw one. The only thing she didn't know was for whom the trap was set. She leaned against the wall, arms folded across her chest, and scanned the area, trying to figure out that conundrum. 'It's not for me, at least.' she thought to herself, 'And, frankly, that should be enough incentive to leave it alone.' came that same nagging voice as before. She sighed. She'd already lost about an hour of work following these Klingons and from the looks of it, anywhere as far away from this place when they decided to spring their trap had to be a better place to be.

The voice won, finally. She pushed herself from the wall and began to walk towards the Staging Area Transporter to report in for work when she spied the two in the restaurant. They, too, were watching the Klingons with the same interest as she had been. Her mind started the calculations before she realized what she was even doing. It was a habit that led her directly into the face of trouble as many times as it had saved her life, if not more.

'Orion and Andorian. From their appearance, neither are Starfleet. Covert ops? Unlikely, given the fact their weapons are visible. Black ops would want to blend in, not stand out. If not Starfleet, who?' Her mind raced a mile a minute now as the pieces began to fall rapidly into place. 'Civillians wouldn't be so heavily armed unless they knew they were looking for trouble. In this case, the Klingons. The placement of the ambush spot narrows traffic into the V'al. Their target is definitely Romulan. Armed non-Starfleet personnel with a grudge against Klingons... no,. that's not it. The Klingons have a grudge against them. Or, at the very least, against one Romulan here with ties to this Andorian and Orion...'

She grimaced as the realization dawned upon her. "Hnaev!" she swore quietly. "That dha'rudh faelirh ch'susse-thrai!" She quickly turned and backtracked, leaving the Andorian and Orion pirates to deal with the Klingons. "When am I going to be rid of him?!" She muttered, wondering why she didn't just walk away yet again as she made her way to Stelam's home. 'Maybe I should just kill him myself and be done with it.' she mused. The thought did bring a slight smile to her lips as she arrived at his home and knocked on the door.

OOC: Sorry if already replied to the previous post. I didn't think it was good.

The door swings open, showing a ramshackle home. It had clearly been invaded and searched earlier. By Klingons, by the sigil they had left on the wall. The compiter seemed to have started playing Beethoven's 'Ode to Joy' when they walked in, and it was now repeating on a loop like a broken record. The computer was busted, barely operating.

Then Stelam walks up behind Aiel, and looks in.

"Did you do this?" he asks. "Pay back for me being annoying?"

"Yeah, because this is something I'd go out of my way to do." She pulls him inside and closes the door, then points to the Klingon sigil on the wall. "Also, I like Klingon graffiti first thing in the morning. Really clears the senses, you know? Very therapeutic." She snorts. "You, apparently, have drawn unwanted attention from a band of Klingon warriors and I sincerely doubt they want to sit in for a chat over a mug of raktajino."

She could feel her temper rising and forced herself to calm down. "Whatever it is between you and them, they have set up an ambush for you in a rather well-traveled public space leading towards the Staging Area." She looked to him, angry and confused. Confused as to why, exactly, she was warning him. "An attack in that space would undoubtedly result in civilian causalities." She added, more for her own sanity than his sake.

Stelam raises an eyebrow. He knew she didn't like him, and was very confused as to why she was warning him. Well, he thought, Hylian always taught me not to look a gift horse in the mouth. Atleast, not untill after you tested it for rabies...

"Um, thank you. I guess you aren't offering your assistance as well..." he trails off as he goes to his bedroom. He comes out with a bandoleer of knifes and his sword, a Romulan Honor blade.

"Though, if you do infact want to help, you can inform the police to stop traffic in that area for awhile..." he says as he walks out the door

She blinks, then frowns as she catches up to him, pulling on his shoulder. "Stop!"

Once he spins to face her she lowers her tone. "What you're about to do is a bad idea. A very, very bad idea. Even if you manage to take down that group you'll expose yourself to the efveh, mot probably landing yourself in prison due to the disturbance and damage, then banished from mol'Rihan entirely. And even if you don't," she added, "whoever sent those Klingons out to find you will send more. Perhaps even a larger party. You wouldn't be able to hide here forever."

She brought a finger to her lip in thought, speaking out loud as she processed. "If we can lead them out of the main area and past the crater, to the open field just southwest of the work area, we might be able to corner them and catch them off guard. I'd rather fight Klingons in an open space than have them find crevices to hide themselves in... and it would eliminate the danger to the citizens as well as avoid attention from the efveh..."

Deveros beamed over to the place he was instructed. He had never been to this type of ship before. He ask for directions to brig. Upon entering he seen the romulan. Nodded to the guard and pulled up a chair. Deveros sat right before the cell, in plain sight of the romulan. He sat, peering into the romulan like he was a meal. A slight grin on his face, as though he was looking forward to disemboweling him...slowly. But William Deveros never said a word, never moved. He remained completely still, staring silently. He eyes didnt even blink... He just sat and stared. As time passed, the romulan almost forgot the man had even moved. Was he an android? Had he turned himself off? Was he even alive? Had he died, with his eyes still drilling a hole into him? And that grin.... how could he hold it up for hours..... Hours... Those eyes... How long will it go on? Would he stop? The romulan was beginning to wonder...

Again she helps him. Why? It is a question that can't be answered at the moment. He sighs, and takes his communicator.

    "Yah?" he says into it.

    "Yes sir?" Yah replies.

"Come to my house. We're going to draw the Klingons into an ambush of our own." Stelam says.

"Whatever you say, Captain." Yah says as the connection ends.

Stelam looks at Aiel. "My bodyguards..." he explains vaguely.

Soon the Orion and Andorian from before show up. "Sir. Who's this?" the Orion asks.

The Andorian looks at the Orion amd slaps the back of his head. "Obviously it's the captain's girlfriend, you idiot!" he says in a loud whisper, obviously trying to be funny.

"Yah! Jolan! This is a serious situation." Stelam barks at them.

They stand at attention. "Sorry sir." they say in unision.

Stelam sighs and puts his hand to his face. "Look. Just try not to make to many jokes, okay?" he says quietly.

"Of course sir." the Orion, Jolan, says.

"What he said Captain." Yah says.

"Okay." Stelam looks at Aiel" You knoww the wilderness better then I do. If you would please lead the way." he says, gesturing.

She raised an eyebrow at the Andorian, making a mental note to correct him later. "Yah, Jolan, you need to keep an eye on the Klingons and make sure they remain where they are. Stelam and I will head to the clearing. Once we are in position we will send a message to you with the coordinates. I'll adjust the channel so the Klingons can 'eavesdrop' on the conversation. If they take the bait they will follow you."

She grabs a stick from nearby and draws a map of the plan in the dirt. "Once you reach this position," she marked with an "X", "Stelam and I will come out from here, cutting off the Klingons from the rear. You've seen this group. You know which one is the leader and which is the weak link, I presume. Take the two guards out quickly but make sure that weak one is left alive. Blast his leg if you have to but make sure he stays in the area. Stelam and I will handle the leader. Any questions?"

They blink at her, then look at Stalam.

"If not," she added, kicking out the map, "I strongly suggest you move out."

"I'm already going to have to move out. Did you see what they did to my house?" Stelam mutters, gestureing to Jolanand Yah to do what Aiel said.

They nod at him and walk of. "Try not to get too distracted by each other, you love birds." Yah says over his shoulder as they walk away.

"I would have him flogged if I could get away with it..." Stelam mutters again, then looks at Aiel." Alright, let's get in our way."

She decided on that moment what punishment would be administered. 'After the Klingons are dealt with.' She thought to herself as Yah and Jolan walked off.

She then turned to Stelam. If you have any weapons to gather before we head out, do it now. I anticipate a close-quarter fight if everything goes to plan but if you have a disruptor it would be a good idea to bring it. Mine, sadly, was damaged beyond repair."

She waited for Stelam to gather whatever belongs he thought necessary then they headed to the Staging Area Transporter. "Paehhos Crater, please," she said as they stepped on to the pad. The familiar sensation of every atom of their being being torn apart washed over them, followed by a bright blindness and a brief infinity of absolutely nothingness. As soon as it had begin the image of the crater dissolved into view.

Nael, the Romulan foreman, looked up as Aiel and Stelam stepped off from the pad. "Your late." was all she offered.

"Going to have to give it a miss today," Aiel responded, not looking up at her as she strode past. "Another job's come up."

She led Stelam down the path and into the southwestern clearing. Scanning it briefly, she eyes some large rocks surrounded by bushes. "That's where we'll sit until your boys bring the Klingons our way." She then points a few meters ahead. "Once they get to that point they should turn and attack. As soon as they do, we'll jump in and attack from the rear." She then takes out a communicator and makes a few quick adjustments before handing it to Stelam. "Call them. Tell them anything to get them to come here, but make it believable. We want those Klinks to think they're being clever. If they catch on that they're being led into a trap we're going to have a whole different fight on our hands."
