Why Should the New Star Trek Reboot cross with Star trek Online

Hay Guys I think for the next Star trek Game based on the new Movie franchise it should be a crossover with Star Trek Online the first original game was afule there was glitches and controls were just aquered to use. The reason why I think it would be better to do a crossover storyline with the new franchise it will be a better game. second it would be better because we can have more starships from the new movie like the Alternate Enterprise 1701 we can miss and match them together. 3 More people will be exposed to the new universe more and might even allow the franchise to expand further.
It should be its own season maybe an expatiation-pack as well like the Romulan one. I think the story should reflect whats going on with the JJverse and the Prime-verse like have section 31 dealing with the Iconians or the Tal-share to manipulate both sides and the player and the Crew of the Enterprise must stop them before they can destroy the Federation and the Klingon Empire. It should be several missions both in each universe and helping to give hints on the next movie as well and the Final Episode of the season you should get the new Constitutions class desgine and have it part of the original configuration and you can mess around with it.
In Final It will help both New Star Trek and Star Trek Online because they can have something that fans will remember by and it also might help along with string theory as well if you guys know what I mean ;)

    So you are suggesting a completely different game being compatible with this MMO? I do not think that is possible.

    Before the fanboys go all whiney.....

    No paramount has the Movie licenses now in conjunction with Bad Robot. Anything prior to that is a CBS license, which we run on. So unless CBS takes sole ownership of everything, it isn't going to happen and you can dream all you want, won't make it so.

    Just to add, Paramount borrowed from CBS, for the ships to make in their previous movies.

    The Movie side own no current ships, expect the one from JJA.

    For something like this to happen Bad Robot would need to give its permissions - because Paramount was dumb enough to give JJ too much control over his revamped version of Trek. This means JJ wants to get paid. So based on that it will never happen. Cryptic is already paying royalties to CBS. They are not going to pay royalties to Paramount and Bad Robot too. There are not enough JJ-only Trek fans to make that worthwhile, IMO.
    STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    Well, getting the JJ-verse in the game would be a good excuse to get a tricked-out t5 Connie refit.

    But, even as a fan of the JJ-verse myself... agreed with above, not gonna happen.

    I liked the new star trek movies. But that star trek is in another time line so can't be part of this game. IMO :)

    No game should ever stand in any close relatioship with any movie, ever. The last Star Trek game was just another bad exapmle of how stuff like that usually truns out. I know there are a few exceptions but 99% of the movie-based games are complete and utter trash.

    Case and point: the Eragon movie was terrible, and the game was even worse than the movie. Literally the only good part about that entire game was that you could tell your dragon to eat people you didn't like.

    It's already bad enough how they portrayed the Gorn in the Star Trek movie game. That kinda played like a really bad ripoff of Mass Effect. Never again please; I'm tired of lens flarey, overly stimulating fps' which do nothing but make the player angry.

    STO looks like pure genius when held up to the official movie game.

    What star trek game are you talking about?? because i cant remember any star trek game since.. hmm.. i dunno lol, bridge commander?? lol.

    It must be really really really terrible lolz. But its based on JJ movies, so , its logical to assume it is a terrible game.

    I'm a JJ fan as well as a Prime fan.


    But I don't want JJ stuff in here.
    THis game is set 30 years after Nemesis in the Prime timeline. This simply cannot work together with alternate universe TOS era. Two universes, two timelines, two different sets of characters.

    Cross-overs are impossible. If anything, make a separate MMO.

    I mean hell already kinda did with the adapted Tal Shiar ships. I think that's plenty enough.
