Minor historical error with the Xindi Representative. At the beginning of the Xindi arc in Enterprise, Daniels tells Archer that the Xindi had never attacked Earth in the prime timeline. Then after Archer stopped the second attack on Earth, Daniels once again converses with the captain and informs him that the timeline has healed/reset itself which means that the Xindi was never manipulated by the Sphere Builders and the attack they instigated didn't happen. I am sure someone is going to contest this.
I think Daniels was actually referring to the whole TRIBBLE occupation of the US timeline, not the whole Xindi Arc. As far as Memory Alpha is concerned, people like Elizabeth Tucker were still considered killed by the Xindi test probe.
You're just a machine. And machines can be broken.
I think when the time line 'healed' itself, it healed from that point forward. Earth had still been attacked, they still made reference to the dead from that attack, Tuckers sister for instance was mentioned as being dead from that attack several times after that point.
We can only speculate because Daniels was ambiguous about it, not to mention also have to include the multiverse theory card which Enterprise is guilty of playing on more than one occasion. However when I think of something being healed' I consider everything going back how it should be.

I know what you mean, you would assume that yeah. Though in the third episode of Season 4, "Home", we saw that Earth had become rather xenophobic due to the Xindi attack. Then towards the end of the season we saw the rise of Terra Prime, using the events of the Xindi attack to gain power.
Really, Enterprise altered the time line just by existing, but it was an ok show so I tend to just ignore the inconsistencies hahahaha.

I will first say that this FE was by far the BEST episode I've done this far. It had all the elements and it felt right.... it felt like Star Trek.
From the voice acting, cut scenes, visuals, battles I was on the edge of my seat and from the beginning to the end it just kept getting better and better. It had my emotions going as well...
Sad - ESD in ruins/seeing the trail of destroyed ships
Angry - At the Undine for attacking the way they did/Egg for being the traitor
Anxious - To get to my ship and get the Undine back for what they did
Happy/Thrilled - My Captain was really apart of the story/I took command of the fleet/War is over/cut scenes/voice over/script
Just some of the things I felt playing thru the mission but really it was Star Trek.
I can't wait to do the FE again and heed this warning.... You guys have set the bar on this one. We expect NOTHING LESS for the next FE.... JK
Or you know, it could be a case of "yeah, we know, the Temporal Cold War was horribly done and even we wanted it to go away because we realized certain writers of ours did an horrible job, so let's just press the reset button on that one and pretend it never happened. The rest happened, though... just go for it".
I find it a cool bonus to add a Xindi representative to show the folks aren't forgotten and did join the Federation.

Is the cooldown on this 20 hours? I'm around there and can't pick up the mission again. When I hail, Tuvok is telling me to help with the preparations but it's not in progress or anything like that.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: "We think we've come so far. Torture of heretics, burning of witches, it's all ancient history. Then - before you can blink an eye - suddenly it threatens to start all over again."
"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."

Actually, you can only replay it by going into the "featured episode" in the "episodes" tab.

Excellent, thanks, got it.

Great mix of ground and space action and storyline pieces. The only thing that was annoying was the placement of the cut scenes during the fight with the undine. It never failed that everyone started right after I had activated all my BOFF abilities for a strafing run or a FAW run. Get back from the cut scene and they are all on cool down. Other than that it was a blast to run and I look forward to running it more (unlike the last FE....that was the definition of Grind).
Your next ones had better be just as good or better!!!!
I'm scratching my head at the living hull trait reward for the mission.
Is the bonus barely existent? Any reason to get it?

Just played Surface Tension when my rank is Lieutenant Commander. It was the most tense and hardest space battle ever and the Undine were more powerful than before. The Iconian chick at the end was hot!!
While I can appreciate the length of the mission. I personally would like to see more episode arcs and episodes in between to break them up like stopping some genocidal androids or helping a Vorta and a Jem'hadar to elope.
But in any case if I remember correctly, wasn't the Jenolan(sp?) Dyson Sphere putting out lethal amounts of radiation and one of the reasons why Enterpirse-D wanted to escape it? If the Ferengi plans on proceeding with this idea then their resort won't see too many customers...unless they plan on entertaining Tholian tourists.

question about the featured eps: will the entire featured eps go away tomorrow, or just some of the rewards? if just rewards, which? dev blog doesn't say, neither does mission preview.

They already confirmed earlier in the thread that none of the rewards are limited time rewards. The only thing that will change about the FE is that it will added to the normal mission progression after 'A Step Between Stars'.

makes me wonder, does this mean people who HAVEN'T played Surface Tension will still see the old starbase until afterward? If this is not the case then new players are in for a surprise as they are thrust in the old ESD for a few missions with little to know idea whats going on.

yeah, the cut scenes in the middle of combat are a huge mistake, really breaks up the 'tension'
