    ...and I'll ask again.

WHY are people still playing this game if Cryptic just keep TRIBBLE people over? ESPECIALLY with the horrible reputation changes coming.

They are going to limit the slots.

I GUARANTEE you a few months later, they are going to add C-store purchases to expand your slots.

you make it sound liek a bad thing....the only thing i hate about the new rep change is the 3 every 20 hours per rep hourly lol.

I've already gotten used to the slot changes due to how much times ive been on tribble

I find this line of replies sadly hilarious. We put a lot of work into the massive list of fixes/changes above, and ya'll are hung up on the ability to skip our content. =p

I like the changes, and chances are I'd have come up with them myself if I were developing the game. So suck it. ;)

Its far more likely that the slot expansions come either within an new fleet installation or through lockboxes (or lobby store).
Selling stuff directly in c-Store is not the modus operandi any more for a while now. That would be honest business.... Cryptic avoids that like the devil a church there days.

I do agree with the OP regarding having to buy the Lobi DSS to get the secondary deflector and warpcore is asking a bit to much.

But so was the grindaversary. It's ok if you had 2-4 chars, but over that it became a pain in the nacelles. I did it on 4 chars, and found that a bit tedious to say the least, so I said to myself:"4 chars is enough, I do not want to burn myself out grinding."

The C-Store option is nice, but the ships there should of have had the secondary delfector and warpcore, but no, PWE/Cryptic had other ideas, and into the Lobi store the grindaversary ship went...

Now, if they had, as some one said earlier in this thread, put the deflector and warpcore into the C-Store/Lobi store as separate buying options, that would of have been the best choice, but we are left with what we have, wich is sad...

It's beyond a doubt that new slots will come and will have to be paid for somehow. But I don't think Cryptic's move is entirely cynical. Game balance is important in the long-term, and I doubt they'll introduce new slots until they're happy that this move has had the desired effect. It might not, in which case they'll probably try something else.

Developers have to strike a balance between giving people a feeling of character progression, power creep and making money, all in the context of the resources they have to do stuff with.

In the long run, if the players aren't happy, the developers don't make money; but also, if they don't make money, there's no game for players to not be happy about.

Aside from the "OMG, so much Lobi" - the whole thing is extremely inconveniently designed.

You get the ship and have to put it among your other ships, remove the item, and then what - dismiss the ship again, never being able to get it again.

Or are lockbox ship consoles differently here? Can you get the pack separate, one ship, one console pack?

But even if it was differentl for lockbox ships, it is still the same for C-Store ships.

You might be better off just getting a fleet warp core.

The Dyson Warp Core has Subspace Fold. It will teleport you 2 LY forward in sector space.

Or you do as everyone else does and take the consoles off the cstore ships and put them on the lobi/lockbox ship. You can always reuse cstore ships on other characters.

Isn't the Dyson ship specifically an underpowered version of the ship, e.g. not "Tier 5.5".

Yes, it's a 9 console ship. The c-store version has 10 console slots.
