I need to buy a whole ship for just a part i want ?

I need to buy a whole ship for just a part i want ?

You read it right it's about the dyson warp cores, I find this very strange that I have to buy the whole ship, and all I want is the warp core.


Hello this aint right, right ? :mad:

I mean 800 Lobi and I won't use the ship I only need the core to complete my build, if this is a Joke I ain't laughing !!
To earn 800 LOBI Goodmorning Vietnam you know how many lockboxes that is before you get 800 LOBI...

You get 10 or 15 LOBI per Lockbox maybe with some luck 1 of the 25 boxes you get 50 LOBI that's just Grazy and you can't trade as we allready have tried I wish I good be more positive Cryptic but this time NO JOKE you let us down !!!

    well they did give you a chance to get it for free before the c-store pack.

    You might be better off just getting a fleet warp core.

    Yep.

    Bunch of ships come with useful bits that you can't get elsewhere.

    Most of 'em I can think of come on lower-tier C-Store ships.

    65,000 FC, 25,000 Dil (for my fleet anyway). It's a great warpcore. Worthwhile stuff does take some effort to obtain, though.

    If you don't want to do that, there are other (perhaps not-as-great) options you can get that are easier via episode replay or even the exchange.

    Why not? 50K in fleet marks is relatively easy to get, unless your fleet is filled with an army of doffers.

    Still cheaper than $25 or the ~333,000 dilithium you would need for 2500 c-store credits!!

    If you're talking about the regular Dyson Science Destroyer that was obtainable during the anniversary event, the ship is in the Lobi store for 600 Lobi.

    Actually, it is only 600. If it was 800, I could see you being upset.

    But look at it this way: Cryptic will likely run another Lobi event soon (the last one, we got 500 Lobi!), and you can probably vote for the Dyson Science Destroyer to be one of the ships that get a discount.

    Or just buy a bunch of keys from the exchange using vendor trash, and get a DSD that way.

    Yeah you might as well forget about that one. The math on a 800 lobi purchase is sad. Supposing you get 5 lobi per lock box and not taking into consideration any promo lobi you get and just bought keys from the c-store in the 10 packs @ 1125 that comes out to 18,000(or $180) c-store credits. On top of all that even the advanced fleet warp cores are better.

    Edit: For 600 lobi it would come out to 13,500 c-store credits or $135, still not worth it.

    It is not Pay to Win we all had the chance to get the Ship for free you were the one that chose not to get it so frankly it's your own fault not Cryptic,

    Actually, the average is about 5.5 per lockbox.

    Wasn't it a three week event? That's a great vacation. If you missed it for that, you got the better bargain by far.

    Somehow I actually think you missed it for other reasons. And that's fine...real life should be a priority. But you shouldn't bellyache about it now and expect to find massive sympathy in the forums. Especially if you use gaudy fonts.

    I thought it was closer to 4 weeks I got the ship on two characters.

    I have also been eyeballing the Solanae Overcharge Warp Core. I don't want the ship that it's attached to, but I suppose I would pay 100 or 200 lobi for just the warp core. I'm surprised it's not sold separately.

    Math, as you can quantify dilithium monetarily as you are able to exchange c-store credits for dilithium and vice versa.

    I've bought 9 various fleet warp/sing cores... not an issue. Expensive? yes. Worth it? yes ;)

    I've had 3 week vacations. To the OP, just wait for free lobi and grind it or just do another build.

    Personally, I think the developers sometimes make some really bad decisions in this game like:
    1) Tie an accolade to lobi bought items (Khellids)
    2) Tie the full set bonus to a one time event and then shift it to the lobi store instead of offering it also in the C-store items. Heck, it's a $100 ship pack. Trowing in the 2nd deflector and warp core in those would have been fine.

    I grinded the ship personally, but at some point I'm going to find myself in an ungrindable event (Summer one is in danger for me because of 2 week vacation)

    Well, that's how it is. Events happen, you miss it, sometimes they come around again, sometimes they don't. You can't expect everything to be easily accessible, otherwise what's the point in playing? If you need it that bad, you'll buy the ship and strip the part you need. People have to do it for the current sets, like the odyssey and Vesta consoles, and don't even get me started on the voth ships.
