    A good idea, organicmanfred.

Also, Tacofangs, I love your sense of humor. It's great to see Devs with such community involvement.

Plus, I can't thank you and your team enough for the Sphere and Step between Stars art.

Sad there aren't any new rewards for Fed and KDF toons who have already seen a couple of these events now.

Though I had forgotten where that Bat'leth came from, so I guess I know that now.
Join date is wrong, I've actually been around since STO Beta.

I didn't get around to it last time. So I will see what I can do to try it. To give my Captains something different and some much needed rest from the missions.

Do not diss the Tacofangs. And mission rerun rewards aren't his department, anyway.

Well, maybe they will offer a dilithium present like the grindaversarry did. Or maybe not. Either way, it's a nice short event, very fun.

Wow, Captain Koren looks great in her Bortasqu Uniform, It's too bad us lowly KDF Player Captains only get a partial Bortasqu Uniform, instead of the full one like she has...

Hes an environmental designer, not a systems designer he doesn't control rewards in missions.

    So much this.

Also, I agree with the other poster who said to put the Enterprise F crew in the Odyssey uniform, it's one of the best, most canon-like, uniforms that Cryptic have created so far, plus it's named for the current Enterprise ship class, so it makes even more sense for them to wear it. Make it the official 2410 Starfleet uniform even!

This character is why I don't play my Romulan any more. Tovan Khev is NOT my BFF! Get him off my bridge!

As much as this celebration is I find it very disappointing that on the Fed we don't get a replica of the phoenix that we can fly? I mean is there some reason that we can't like some huge copy right wrangle?

Too bad though at the moment we don't get to fly the first warp ship more than anything we would get a flyable peace of history :).

Excellent. Klingons get an iconic bit of their history, and a decent melee weapon at that. Federation get an representation of their very foray into being a spacefaring race, and though a shame it isn't pilotable, it's still well thought out. The Romulan get... a ground octopus... . Wow...just wow. We couldn't get something even moderately interesting? A non-combat pet isn't really my problem here, it's just the nanov is probably the lamest bit of New Romulus. It really has no particular value to the Republic, doesn't reflect any sense of heritage, and probably doesn't even taste good. This is probably the first evet that I just won't bother with at all.

So no mars this year? If so, why? That's always the part I look forward to the most.

Also, I was one of those people last year who wanted a pheonix pet and was afraid it wouldn't be re-run. So no hate there. Some folks don't have it and still want it.

Maybe in the future though, there could be multiple options so there's something for those of us that now do have the rewards?

Trendy, why are we going back in time? We were doing season 9 dev blogs :(

Ignorance my friend, ignorance. It is the very fiber that always been in the spine of Perfectworld since day one. Make it, break it, patch it, pray it works. A reputation they have built upon and I criticize against as well. Klingons get weapons, and we just get pets. What the heck does Perfectworld think both the Federation and the Romulan Republic are Hippies? Oh wait, scratch that one considering still that even Perfectworld and Cryptic don't even honor the memory of the man himself that created it all. Gene Roddenberry, nope lets make a buck off of this and TRIBBLE the fan base. Yup that's corporate way of thinking like Paramount wanted to do after the big man himself passed away in October 24, 1991. Honestly the writers here just keep getting more boring than Q passing judgement on mankind for his own pleasure. Fail for Perfectworld. BRILLIANT!

What's the minimum level for a Romulan character before they can play the mission?

    Says in the blog

"This unique creature is a reminder of home and can be earned by all Romulan Captains level 10 and above."

    So I'm assuming Level 10

I've been wanting a Nanov non-combat pet since LoR launched. Back then a dev made a comment that they would consider giving us one somehow eventually. Personally I would have preferred it to be added to the lobi store available for all factions to purchase and given the romulans something else during first contact day. So they make us wait 11 and a half months to get it and we only have a 3 day window of opportunity to get it.

Now this means any romulan characters I create after this event is over, I'll have to wait until next year to get the pet for them. :(

The Enterprise F is still one of the stupidest looking ships I have seen come out of STO, It Looks like a messed up flipflop for your foot.

I miss the original star Trek ships before Perfect world started adding their so called "flare" to them.

    guess its just me.

A battlech and 2 non combat pets.. ow... lol.

I wonder, people still use non combat pets?? xD. I mean i could understand that a combat pet will be useful, and even a good reward (to say something).. but a non combat one?? .

A non combat pet is one of the most useless things this game have, mostly because they are stupid, ugly and most of the times really boring.. and still we are filled of em, even in the events.. so great xD.

I beg to differ, at least regarding the Nanov. I've wanted a non-combat pet of one of those cuties for awhile. So...thanks Cryptic!

Not to mention, the non-combat pets also take up precious inventory space, which could be better spent on... actual inventory items. The "Phoenix" i'd love to see as an unarmed playable unit, which can only be used in System / Sector Space. Can't join a PVE Event queue, or PVP queues. Just make it unarmed, with a basic warp core and impulse drive, mostly for cruising around in the system / roleplaying. You know, the "RP" in MMORPG.

You don't need to take those items, you also have the choice for a Box of 35 marks.
  • malkarrismalkarris Member Posts: 797 Arc User

So, strangely enough, it isn't mentioned, but when you run this, in addition tot he pet or the marks, you get a prize box that offers you 1440 dilithium or 10 lobi. The 10 lobi seems to be a once a day thing, but the dilithium seems to be as often as you can run it.

EDIT: just ran on another character, the box looks like it is one per day per account no matter if you choose the dil or the lobi.

Pleasantly surprised to hear a voiceover for all the crewmembers.

However... the KDF version of the mission seems really rushed and poorly thought out...

Why the mission takes place on Ganalda Station? We are to go to Qo'noS where the Bortasqu is supposed to be, yet the mission moves us to Ganalda, which is in Eta Eridani Sector Block. Transwarp much?

Not to mention, once we beam onto the Bortasqu we can clearly see Qo'noS behind the window...

Aside from that, the sound levels of Bortasqu crewmembers are really inbalanced. The same character can have one quiet line, and another quite loud.

Also, the doors on the bridge are bugged in that you can see them open, with the sound effect playing, yet behind them are... another doors.

Not to mention, the Bortasqu has two cannon skills, yet its equipment is all beams and torpedos...

Yeah, rushed/poor KDF content... who would have thought?

The Bortasqu has a build-in cannon. The firing button is in the special ship tray in this mission.
