I'd love to join in on this though I have some questions. I've got a Fed character I'm aiming to set up with a Narcine carrier or else a Fleet Caitian carrier. Are either of these acceptable? I'd also like to know if Tricobalt Devices are acceptable as well; Voyager does use them but I'd like something with a bit more kick than Photon or Quantum torpedoes. And lastly, what kind of fighters are allowed? There's 75 pages of thread; I didn't want to have to sift through all of it.

Sounds like fun.. even with Fleet gear, I find my DPS to be really low, so no changes really required if you relax the 'canon weapons' rule a bit. I'm up to 8 characters now, with the newest being a Caitian Engineer (lvl 17 when I logged out). My Fed Sci Vulcan runs the Fleet Nova, and my Caitian is in a Rhode Island. I also have a human Tac in a Fleet Advanced Escort (Prometheus) running Fleet Tetryon, Ferengi Engineer in Mirror Heavy Cruiser running Protonic Polaron beams, KDF Alien Sci in Dyson Sci Destroyer, not sure weaponry at the moment.. KDF and Fed Roms in Dyson Sci Destroyers running AP on Fed and Disruptors on KDF. (think that's all of them..)
Anyway, shoot us an invite. @summerwolfe and @candice8, my girlfriend is almost always on when I am and we run things together as much as possible.. including STB if we're welcome.

In regards to your mention of laxing the canon loadouts, one of the charm's of STB is having the ships fire their race specific weapons. Purely for looks but that's what STB was created for was to try and emulate the look and feel of ST.
If you or your GF require weapons we have STB fleet bank that has weapons that we can provide until you get your loadout for STB where you want it. I personally use fleet weaponary but put power into shileds and engines and still manage to pull around 5kish.
On the Sci destroyer, I think you have a lil wiggle room there as it's NOT a ST canon ship.

Okay, so a bunch of peeps were posting 'tube 'vids on ship to ship stuff, a little late, and kinda unrelated, and it may have already been posted, but this **** is fawking epically done and deserves mention.
I am VERY interested in this. It seems like the PERFWCT place to get to play with two of my absolute favorite trek ships that simply can't keep up in the DPS fest that STO has become: the Mirror Heavy Cruiser and the Gal X.
Would these ships be allowed as neither is strictly 'real' in the canon sense?
If I was allowed to use the X, what would the loadout limitation be?
Would this break your intentions for this channel or would it be OK? My goal would be to Nerf my weapons and torps to about 4-5k while mmaxing the lance.

That is a good chunk of it as well as keeping the DPS on the low side
Thank you for the interest in STB. I wouldn't worry about it skill tree too much. My main toon has the worst skill tree as he was my first one and TBH he does fine. But if you have any questions there are some really knowledgeable Captains within STB that can help you.

Fly any ship you want... if you need help with builds it's always safe to stay with what the ship came with. Or use vids from YT for screen accuracy. Also you can always ask in chat, someones always willing to help.
I also wanted to thank all who have given STB a shot. Looking at the number of views on the thread (40k+) it is humbling to know that my idea of playing STO like ST has been shared with many missing that ST feeling.
Thru STB I have met some really good people and have made some friends and only hope that the trend continues.
