That is just it exactly. I know you better than to think you would do that. But sadly, there are many who buy that uniform specifically so they can. And those people are where I have the problem.
I completed a 2-man CSE, ISE, and KASE, Optionals included. And I soloed Winter Invasion.

okay...first of all....shame on all of you for saying expressing sexuality, or sexualization as you call it, is something that is wrong and should not be shown.

should we all go back to victorian days and repress ourselves horribly?

i for one love to express myself, show off my toon and make her sexy (if i can do it in real life, why can't i do it in game?).

now of couse i'm not running around in a bikini and dancing on poles, that's TRIBBLE, i like to accentuate my sexuality, not exploit it.

like it or not TES and Star Trek have had sexual undertones and overtones throughout their existence. at least one of those quotes in the article you linked ashkrik has been in an in game book since the very first TES game, for instance.

also, in response to lindaleff, comparing a person creating a sexualized avatar for themselves to undoing human rights is about as straw man an argument as i can ever imagine.
It does not affect you...therefore don't worry about it

Easy guys, lets not get into a misunderstanding. We all come to games to have fun, lets stay friendly so we can all continue to enjoy them together. People will always have different points of view, and what you see maybe not what they do with their toon.

Ill use my pic as an example, if no one knows who M'ress is, that poster of CatStar and her may make my toon look like a womanizer like James Bond, and M'ress as...unprofessional, given they wouldnt know its her uniform, and not a suggestive dress. --> http://catstarsto.deviantart.com/art/Temporal-Ambassador-Poster-404824334

Cats uniform is the one they used in Generations, only with a blue coat instead of black. Hes my version of (Batman with a blade/Cable from xmen.) Discover my RP for yourself in that fiction, it takes place about the same time your toons where running the Temporal Ambassador mission.

...but yes, at the request of Luna, I did add in a small love story too. (facepaw) Nothing a kid couldnt read though!

Indeed. Shame on us for being mature, responsible adults who are wise enough to not treat women as s*x toys. Shame on us for possessing the wisdom to treat women as the human beings they are, as equals even. Eleanor Roosevelt, for example, in her time, women were little more than property for their husbands to do with as they wished, and the woman had no say in the matter whatsoever. Yet, Eleanor Roosevelt used her status as First Lady to speak out against such behaviour, and campaigned for women to have rights as fellow humans. Due to her, numerous others joined the fight, and today, their efforts have given women the rights to vote, to be educated, and to gain employment as equals. Being from the same time, Amelia was told that she should have been a housewife. Yet she defied all convention of the day, and instead lived in the pilot's seat. She flew solo across the Atlantic, and would later attempt a circumnavigation of the world. Because of women like them making the world aware that women are humans too, my Grandmother was able to attend and graduate University, she and my mother were able to gain employment. And because of them, my own daughter will be able to have a future, an education, an employment in a job she very much enjoys, the life she deserves. And when I am sent into a combat laden location, and Brass stations a woman to be my partner, I know she is well trained, well equipped, and well armed, and I know she is someone I can trust with my very life, and be proud to fight beside.

I have one (yes, only one) female bridge officer, and I too have her bust slider at minimum. I also have her hips slider at minimum. And if you must know, I have her wearing a long Winter Coat with Jupiter trousers. If and when I find a uniform that looks like a real world military uniform, that is what I will have her wear from now on. Would anyone happen to know of any such thing? Sadly, bridge officers cannot wear Off Duty, or I would have her wearing the Mercenary outfit.

I am just the opposite. :P (Though in reality my gender distribution is about 50/50 not including captains)

My female officers run the gamut of physiques, and even the ones with large chests are still realistically proportioned. People that give their characters huge TRIBBLE and stick thin bodies are very much on my no-no list.

Ever the military guy, I make a point to have my characters look physically fit.
    Which military?
I just need something that looks like it could be used as a military uniform. What STO really needs is camouflage clothing, and for that same purpose, we also very much need berets. The Odyssey Uniform should have included one, seeing as how it the Odyssey Uniform could easily be used as the Dress Uniform. And the logo on those Berets should be your fleet's logo.

you might want to ask kyubi; i know he made something very similar to medical fatigues like the kind used in MASH that could probably pass for a military uniform with a few color changes, but i don't know what pieces he used...it may have been off-duty pieces, though i thought boffs COULD use off-duty stuff now

*Fox spirit possessed caitian yips*! (just now checking this thread for first time =^.^=!)

Before I had that I used the TOS medical shirt with uniform pants (don't remember which, but you be the judge of what's best pants with the shirt) with a proper green color for the MASH look. that can go on boffs, so at least I made my kitty boffs look far more ready for action than typical Starfleet PJ's.

we should just rename this anthro club...we got cats, a werewolf, and now a demon fox in here

anyway, there you go, suroo - TOS medical shirt; try that with your choice of pants and play around with the colors, see if you can get something halfway decent-looking

oh, as an aside, i once saw a gorn in something that very closely resembled kevlar body armor...no idea what he used there - probably should've asked

didn't you just get done saying boffs can't use off-duty stuff? the merc gear is all classed as off-duty, isn't it?
For some strange unknown reason, the Mercenary belt is available in Uniform too. But only the belt is available in Uniform. I don't remember when this happened, but it helps me, so groovy.
I completed a 2-man CSE, ISE, and KASE, Optionals included. And I soloed Winter Invasion.
