For everyone who is confused about off-duty uniforms :

    1. Create or modify a uniform slot at the tailor

    2. Go the the "Head" options, there is a drop-down menu at the upper right corner, select off-duty

    3. Now you can use the uniform tab to choose the khan parts (the helmet should be under head options though)

And yes, the company is named Cryptic for a reason.... :P

on my KDF it's greyed out what do i dooooo

Currently, there is not an end date. There may be one, though, and we'll be sure to give notice before it ends if it does.

    Cheers,

Brandon, could you address the concerns of Mac users please?

I'd be surprised if you could even CREATE a new uniform on a KDF character, since Cryptic STILL hasn't fixed the costume bug. But they can always release new costumes. Priorities?

It would seem that one must log in to EVERY single toon you have to unlock the outfit on all toons. It works on my KDF rom, but not on any of my other toons (Normal KDF and normal FED).

Hi there. Sorry, I missed the first post about it. Unfortunately, Arc is PC only, so the promo wouldn't be available for Mac users unfortunately. I'll pass along the feedback.

    Cheers,

Kudos to Cryptic for an outstanding costume! My female toons appreciates the cool breeze on her chest!:D

Bran, could you tell us the dev/devs that recreated the khan outfit design? I believe a standing ovation is in order for a job well done!

Look, folks, it's simple. If you want the costume, but don't like Arc, just d/l Arc, run it once to launch STO, get your email, log out, uninstall, and delete. Or are you that uncertain of your antivirus software? If so, you might want to consider upgrading that...

Just checking. this will be available for all future characters as well as current, right? It doesn't suit any of my current three, but at some point - either when I get around to subbing, or when there's a sale on character slots, I'll try and design a KDF Officer with this uniform in mind.

It is an account unlock. Everybody on the account gets it.

I'm not sure, but from my observations so far it seem that one must log in to each and every character through arc if you want them all to have the outfit.

As far as I can tell, this is not actually the case.

Well, installed Arc in a Virtualbox session. Started to install STO, canceled, copied existing STO Steam install from "host" OS, logged into STO, worked like a charm.

Quick question though, why does Arc require Administrator elevation? (I always use a "standard user" account under Windows.) It's got full access to it's own directory, and the directory where I have it installing STO to. Unless you have it writing something where it shouldn't be (Using HKLM in the registry when you should really be using HKCU), I cannot fathom why it'd require elevation.

When is the KDF costume bug getting fixed. I have 8 costume slots but can only use half of them because of the stupid bug that has been a "Known issue" for quite some time. Its not like these costume slots were given to me, I paid for them!

Root kits, browser plugins, and scanning of all drives.

Unless, of course, a Dev wants to chime in and correct me on any particular point.

For those that are hitting on ARC atm. Use it for the outfit. Once you have that outfit, exit game & ARC. Relaunch the game from the folder where you have installed Star Trek Online. Works perfect without the ARC launcher.
OK, if I have to stay here for a while, your cieling ... looks idious.:D

They refuse to disclose every way Arc will infest my computer, and I don't trust my ability to fully remove it. The only way to win is to deny it the battle.

I guess I'll be installing ARC...

on my secondary computer, so I can just launch it for the shinies and quickly uninstall it and clear the system with ccleaner, never looking back...

I mean, it can't be much worse than installing that horrendous Raptr app they were promoting at one point...

    This made me so chuckle.

Yeah ARC is TRIBBLE ain't has anything Players Need at all.
Yet as soon as freebies are in the room who cares give the damn Thing a slap and see how we can outwit the System. ^^

Yeah probably gona go even a step further using a legacy Dualboot Installation with nothing else then ARC and STO on one of my spare Computers to turn grab those shinnies.

Well does that say i want ARC no not at all.
Foes that Show that i care about giveaways yes in a distorted sense of way.
Does this give PWE the metrics they wanted, never as neither my playtime purchase history or System specc and OS fit my real System that still will logging via STEAM.

Thank you PWE ARC still Fails to have anything that me as Player and paying customer could consider to have it running all the time.
And should you consider including Gateway to it as unique Feature i don't care for Gateway anymore aswell.

To those asking, the costume is not an account-wide unlock. You must log into each character while being logged into Arc to receive the in-game email notifying you that you received the khan costume.

Does this has to be claimed separately on separate characters, or is it account-wide?

(ETA: Also, are we getting a dev blog today? I'm anxious to know more about the new ships and such.)

No, it's not account wide, it's a rather broken character based thing it seems. (Female andorians can't use the hair, neither can vulcans, so it's likely all can't bar humans and aliens).

If you can't solve it logically, solve it like a moron.

51 + 1 Foundry Character Slots is NOT enough. Some of us love our characters. If I want to buy more character slots, why can't I? I couldn't experience the entire Delta Recruitment event without deleting a character.

The Iconians themselves can't time travel because their memories revert, but there is nothing to say an Iconian couldn't write everything she needed to do on a PADD, pin it to herself, travel back, read the PADD, do the tasks and return. Or just get one of her Non-Herald underlings to go back in time for her.

Want a Star Trek themed starship command fan-made Board Game that isn't fiendishly complicated but not so easy it's a joke? Download mine for free here. https://roebot56.deviantart.com/art/BOARD-GAME-R56-s-Starship-Command-STAR-TREK-Edn-682732468 A Stargate version of the game is available from a link in the description.

Oh yeah, I do Foundry missions for both KDFs and Feds. Just search KSTF (Short for Kinas Special Task Force, where Kinas is the name of the Admiral you will be serving under). The earlier ones are less story based and more combat based, while the later ones have a much heavier story element, but keep the large battles.

Hello, I am unsure the topic under what this post should go under, so I am posting it here to see if I can get some help potentially.

    1) I have Arc installed
    2) I logged in to STO with Arc
    3) I received no mail regarding the Kahn set
    4) I checked my off duty tab x8
    5) I restarted STO/ARC x5

    What am I missing?

    Thanks.
