Ok so every time a faction was revamped new story missions came out or the current in-game missions will be revamped. Could we possibly see a new version of Terradome? Maybe we will see their ground forces get a revamp as well? I would be pleased to see this revamp through no-matter what direction it goes.
Looks like increase the ammount of people thanks to cryptic north obtained in summer last year and there getting to speed is finally on 100 percent and we will results from that
Damn it, wrote it badly We see results from increased Stuff . Didnt expected this. Klingon revamp is nice touch, this is good bonus. And if something more come . Ill be more then delighted
No Terradome, it is an Undine Red Alert. (maybe an invasion of Undines against Iconian against Borgs against Mirror Universe ships and we just watch them destroy each other and we just collect the booty. )
If it's a large scale version of anything like this, I'd play it.
AHHHH, at last these worthy opponents are that WORTHY of facing and defeating the Borg and thus the players!!! Thank you Devs I hope to see these new tough enemies and their missions perhaps revamped as well?
With this, I'm seriously thinking the Voth just might BE fighting the Undine.
But why are the Voth trying to destroy subspace, then? The Undine don't use warp drives. They just open rifts from fluidic space wherever and whenever they want. Omega molecules aren't a threat to them.
It's the first thought my tired brain came up with after reading the blog. (And don't say my tired brain is wrong, the brain wouldn't get it...)
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class. Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider. Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.
I'm glad they made adjustments to the Undine. They was kinda weak on space battles as I blew right through them. Compared to the Borg was harder. I'm passed this content for a while now. So new either new missions or a new character will have me to face them now.
I hope this will bring more Undine in the future. As we still have more to do with them.

It might be evident to you, but it's not evident to a lot of others.
First of all, the Undine use powerful bio ships. Unlikely that any of those will ever be playable. If they are, they'll need a damned good explanation why we can suddenly toss these large equipment modules onto an organice ship without some story-altering explanation like reverse-engineering Borg cybernetic tech or something.
Secondly, a Cryptic team member has spoken. I'm not sure where the company stands on blatant lies with their employees, but even without any official regulations on it, IMO it's more reasonable to believe him.
And what exactly is evidence of this? The new skins for the ships aren't. Just because NPCs get a facelift in a game does not mean they're gonna be playable soon.
If you have a perfectly good reason to think that the Undine are gettintg a dedicated lockbox, by all means, please point this evidence out so we all can accept it. But merely the claim that it's evident isn't good enough.
It's not out of the question for the future, but this revamp of the space combat experience players face against the Undine was not for an Undine Lock Box -- it's for, dare I say, [REDACTED]
Cheers,
Brandon =/\=
Let me guess... The Undine will tie in with the 4th Year Anniversary event... *cough* cough* dare I say....... "4th Year Anniversary Ships"
But why are the Voth trying to destroy subspace, then? The Undine don't use warp drives. They just open rifts from fluidic space wherever and whenever they want. Omega molecules aren't a threat to them.
But... what effect would detonating Omega Particles in Fluidic Space have? Would this potentially disrupt the Undine ability open rifts into "normal" space, ending Undine attacks on the Delta Quadrant? Even better, could the Omega Particles simply collapse Fluidic Space entirely... if the Voth are desperate it's possible that a splinter group of the Voth could be seeking a "final solution" to the Undine.
Maybe the Voth are also in conflict with the Borg, and want to collapse Subspace in a localized region surrounding a few Transwarp Hubs, in order to disrupt their ability to resupply and/or redeploy their forces? Surely the superior Voth science abilities must contain some theoretical research into the effects of Omega Particles on Subspace. Plus, a conflict between the Voth and Borg would be awesome, the perfect war between a superior status quo shrouded in isolation and a relentless drive to adapt through conquest.
Hmmm... I wonder if the Borg are an offshoot of the Pakled? They simply "look for things to make us go" in a more efficient (and "bad guy") manner, acquiring new technologies without asking (relatively) nicely and acting intellectually challenged. :P
Come on... there's so many possibilities. I can't wait to see what they've got planned for us, and how they unfold the story to get us there. Just one thing, though; this time can we participate in the story rather than sending our doffs?
Anyway, a more direct appearance of the Undine would be welcome. We don't see them very often and they really seem like an adversary that we should spend more time battling at the level cap... there aren't even any decent rewards for doing missions related to the Undine at this point in the game, like the Jem'Hadar set or Cluster Torpedo, etc. Ooooh, can we get an Undine-related space set and more use out of the Telepathy trait (which is oddly inferior to the "Limited" version)? Heck, Betazoid boffs have access to Pacification, but captains don't, much like Remans don't have access to the Shadow Guard attack or the Mental Burst boff power... let's make those Dr Sibak (clone)s really worth slotting!
Never mind, that was a bit of mental wandering too.
With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.
Let me guess... The Undine will tie in with the 4th Year Anniversary event... *cough* cough* dare I say....... "4th Year Anniversary Ships"
Those were already confirmed on the 15th this week as being hybridized with tech reverse-engineered from the Dyson Sphere...aka The Solanae's technology.
Make's little sense unless the Undine and Solanae have origins somewhere in there...which they don't last I checked.
Many happy faces will grace the forum if you make this happen! Good game!
"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censored, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."
"Today on This Old Starship, we're going to show you how to spruce up your old bioroids with a brand-new plasma array. We're also going to remodel the exterior, and give the AI a good polishing!"
On a more serious note, the Voth appear to be in conflict with the Borg. And the Undine are also. Is it possible that they have a sort of "enemy of my enemy" thing going on? (And if so, they really should read the Seventy Maxims, particluarly Maxim 29: "The enemy of my enemy is my enemy's enemy. No more, no less.")
One could hope that it means Cryptic is making more missions for the Klingon faction, so not to have repeat Romulan content. Just saying?;)
Oh, one can only dream and wish! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you're right on this one.
Making KDF missions related to the Undine would mean that we're finally getting that gap in the Fed-KDF war filled and that we'll get to see how the Undine were involved, how deep does their infiltration go, what are they up to and maybe finally come to a resolution of that storyline that has been left to linger for such a long time.
It would also mean further fleshing out of the KDF storyline which would be every KDF's player dream come true.
Are the Undine on the ground also getting a revamp? They could definitely use some abilities based around their impressive immune system and biogenic field, also some new melee attacks would be good; something like the Voth raptor leaping grapple attack for example.
That's awesome! I'm really hoping the next dev blog will detail the revamp of the Undine on the ground! I always found the Undine to be disappointing on the ground more than in space. They are so big, slow and lumbering. In the show they were FAST! And they would swarm in for melee, that's what I'd love to see next!
Thanks for the expansion that had "as much content as the last"
