I'd like to see this and, as you mentioned, the RR expanded with more of their own stuff... like say the New Romulus zone not requiring them to team up with the other factions for something as simple as Epohh tagging.

And speaking of Romulan Zone, as a Fed, I'd like access to their Flotilla. They van visit my ESD, so I should be able to visit their Flotilla (N.B. Wouldn't it be hilarious if I found Tali there?! But I digress). Turnabout is fair play.
Reps "starting" at level eleven and all missions rewarding you a small amount of points depending upon the relevant storyline.
If you're blowing up the Tal Shiar for fifteen levels, there's no reason why D'Tan shouldn't be giving you a high five upon beaming down to New Romulus.
Why are we 3 years and 8 seasons in, only to be stuck with that horrendous farmer's tan?!?!?
On a serious note though, they should really cut the TRIBBLE, and devote a season of time to just quality of life issues. Making the interiors (bridges specifically) more to scale, fixing DS9 to look and function more like DS9, bringing older ships inline with newer ships(perfect time to add variants and set bonuses), adding new revamped missions, things like that. Even champions online is giving a bit of a break right now to focus on fixing the bugs.
Part of the DS9 revamp would include Scaling, as well as adding in more shops and inhabitants as well. The tailor should be Garak's shop, which would include possible espionage Doff missions. Odo's Security office and the holding cells should be filled with prisoner exchange and security doff missions. There is no reason why Quark's should be its own separate map, especially when the show clearly shows you can just walk in through the open doors on the top and bottom level of the promenade. The ambassador should get her own office as well as a few Diplomatic missions, so she's no longer uselessly just standing there. Being able to see Curland in his office or the defiant in dock would be awesome. Not only should the replicators work for getting food items, but it would be nice to see a fat Klingon singing opera while dishing out food. For a star trek game, this is a really poor rendition of a major hub, and i can't believe that i would be the only one who would love to see this given a proper reworking.
But mostly, i would just love to see them finally fix the skins the character creator to be full body. Even allow us to do a little customization there so we can further enhance our characters.
Yeah, season 9 should totally be all about going back and fixing the quality of life.
i agree and would love to see a season devoted to fixes and quality of life.. but lets face it.. the only thing that keeps this game alive is the anticipation of what people can spend their money on/grind for next.. this game would not survive a season dedicated to bug fixes.. they know this, which is why bug fixing is on the bottom of their list..
* A revamped Republic Faction (better use of the doff system (make it unique)), more playable species (Suliban & Acamarian), Elite Plasma Weapons from the Fleet etc
* A revamped Fleet Galaxy Class (one that allows for a universal slot over one of the existing engineering slots)
* A revamped Star Cruiser (see signature)
* Poker
* More Klingon & Romulan ship designs
* More Klingon costumes and hair styles
* Corrected Negh'Var build (with the underside cannons/nacelles)
* A Cardassian Faction
What I/We do not want?
* Playable Borg Faction
* A level cap raise
* Federation ship designs (not for a while anyway)
Completely agree with Exploration and new contacts.
Heck we have half the Galaxy still open to discovery. The Bajoran Wormhole was just a teaser...never really used it for exploration. The KDF should go over and create a close relationship with the Changelings and their minions. Come up with a storyline for this. Romulans and FEDs now have their gates spheres and wormholes, but the Klingon Empire seems to be getting nothing and seemingly accepting this turn of events. There is another path to the Delta Quadrant via the Gamma Quadrant. Let the Klingon Empire have influence over the Delta Quadrant by having a foothold in the Gamma Quadrant by forming alliances with our old enemies from there and have their own path to the Delta Q. from the back end. They are, after all at the edge of the Beta Quadrant...beyond which is the Gamma Quadrant. There they can search for their 'undiscovered country'.
The chances of the devs doing anything for pvp are about as high as the chances of the KDF getting anything nice... (that isn't recycled fed or Rommie stuff)
I would say as higher as the chances of the Romulans owning their own planet or been a full race.
More sphere type ground battle zones, but much harder. the increased difficulty will force team building and cooperation. going solo should mean certain death (hazard/quarantine planets)
A reason for the captains table to exist. This space is a total waste and has the potential to be something special. a few thoughts would be special ships, weapons doff missions and gear only available at the captains table.
Cannon bridge packs C-store shut up and take my money!
The reason I left this game a while ago was due to the lack of pvp options; now that I'm back I'll stay until I get bored with it again, but yet again there are no new pvp options to throw my newly improved ships into once the game content is done.
There is and has been along, such an opportunity for Cryptic to create stellar pvp inside of this game. I'm hoping they will give us an entire pvp battlezone to play in, let us combat one another for control over an entire Dyson sphere like the pve one we have now.
Or give us the ability to flag for pvp (to keep those who don't like pvp happy) and then run encounters across sector space, if I'm flagged and you're flagged and we run across one another in sector space we have an opportunity to battle one another. Would make for some great fleet vs. fleet gameplay, in my opinion. Maybe even have entire sectors set aside for pvp purposes, the side who holds control gets specific bonuses, a reason to gain and maintain control of that sector.
One way or another, if they implemented more and better pvp options for us, they'll prevent a lot of people from leaving, will draw back many who have already left, and also will attract more new players.
If you don't like pvp, then simply don't pvp, why negate it for the rest of us.
personally i hope they get the story back to the alpha quadrant asap. talk of the undine might be cool but i fear season 9 could end up as bad as season 8. i keep telling myself it can't be possible,
Never going to happen. I daresay we'll still get occasional tidbits, but the Iconians are simply too useful in their current 'form' - namely 'manipulating everyone/everything from the shadows' - this lends itself VERY well to introducing new content and is exactly why we won't be seeing them anytime soon.
I agree. They sorta ruined the Borg by introducing the Queen and revealing too much about them, making them more 'ordinary' foes.
I hope the STO scenario-writers won't make the same mistake as their TV/movie counterparts and keep the Iconians (mostly) in the shadows. If the Iconians get revealed, the story side of the game will lose much of its appeal because there's no mystery left.
Tyr shall give me strength! For the glory of Tempus! I am the hands of Shar! Flames of Kossuth, protect me! Oghma, grant me knowledge! Lolth commands, and I obey!
Just FYI, we are already WELL into production on Season 9.
If you want a Bug-Fix only season, you need to be petitioning a season or two out. Ask for Season 10 or 11 to be bug-fixes, because Season 9 is already decided, and it's not JUST bug-fixes.
You know that never will happen LOL. They just continuously get your people to keep pushing out items and such without really ever getting the priorities of the player fixed in the mean time. So what we have now is inventory/banking and bug/glitches out of control.

Sadly, new content attracts more players while bug-fixes do not. There will never be a bugfix-only season.

Considering nobody asked for what was in season 8 "voth dyson sphere" i assume we will get another adventure zone some new holdings maybe some new rep and a few queued events
remember territory control pvp game they have been talking about for years that would be cool a real purpose to build up your ship instead for killing the same weak old npc's hundreds of times heck do you even need anything other then engines and weapons on a ship to complete the pve missions? you dont even need to use abilities

Simple.
Star Trek.
Not any more of the silliness of Dinosaurs literally with laser beams on their heads, NPCs self-rezzing after being disintegrated, on and on.
But there's probably more of that idiocy coming down the road, I take it. I mean, we have subservient, mewlings passing as Romulans now.
No, it's just that the Voth repair ship is a little late.

Nah, we'll be using Spock's Brain to defeat the Hand of Apollo while flying a Triplane we stole from Romans ruled by Space Lincoln.
No. Your fun makes everyone else's fun wrong by default.

It looks like it either got merged or I'm in the habit of replying to myself.
I heard that to. But they have been rumors for over a year. I wish they did something with pvp.

Romulans got a "bigger" Planet than FED and KDF's ... including it's own Adventure Zone ...
Season 9 - End to the Fed-KDF war (at least as far as endgame is concerned).
Next expansion - Big reveal of the Iconians, hopefully including a new storyline (or at least FE series) to go with it.
