Weeeelllll ... I can play the game. I just don't play as often as I can because I'm trying to find a better job for my family. I write for this forum at work, so I have to squeeze time when I can for the words. In order to "show my worth" I am putting more effort into work so I can leave on better footing. All that means less time for the game and the fiction.
Really, I need to spend less time on the message board as a whole and more time on the words :P
Oh, good call, good luck, and hopefully everything gets where you want it to be. I can't wait to see you posting again.
now back on topic before i get in trouble again!!!
I've been considering a followup story, involving the battle at the end of Sphere of Influence. Would that be out of bounds?
It's actually slated to hit tomorrow rather than next week, so you won't have to wait so long. Either way, i look forward to seeing where some of these stories lead to with the next Challenge.

It's been two weeks already?
Wow. Time flew fast!

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAA! (Leaps in and posts at the last minute).
Whew. I literally wrote this in only the last two days, and I'm glad that I managed to post it before the topic was lifted. Note that this story actually forced me to 'fast forward' quite a bit with Ta'nara and her crew, re: character and plot development. Hopefully, I'll be able to retroactively do a few stories to better establish Ta'nara's crew and how she learned to work with them.
Also, of course, there is one very important story I need to do, retroactively, with Arkos, but that's another LC...

I really enjoyed that entry, there was certainly no hint of it being a 'rush job', but read really nicely
From Arkos' comments, I can only infer that he has encountered Amanda and Siri on Spacedock and got talking...

Or alternatively, he may have heard something about it from someone else. Seeing as two captains were present at the incident, I doubt it would be hard for word to get around after that. But an encounter with Amanda and/or Siri would still be interesting.

Otherwise, glad you enjoyed it!
I think for Arkos to care enough about it to tell Drake off about it, I think he must've met one or both of them at some point
Possibly a topic for a future collaboration?
But yes, I enjoyed it very much, especially the multiple opinions and twin view points between Federation and Romulan officers
