We don't want what the Feds have. We want the equivalent. We want fairer treatment. Concern, desire, greed to some extent, and passionate belief that the enough people would buy KDF items to make it worth Cryptic's while.
The Asgard would wipe the floor with a Star Destroyer.
I don't know about playable, but I'm sure we'll get one as a Bridge Officer soon enough.
And the Wraith would wipe the floor with the Asgard. And to put the final touch on the cleanup of this hypothetical floor, the Ori would wipe it with the Wraith, ending that part of the war. However, I am uncertain as to which would win an Iconian-Ori war. My best guess is Ori due to being ascended beings and having presumably destroyed the Ancients beforehand.
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.

You're assuming the Iconian haven't learned to Ascend themselves.
Anyone taking bets on how soon these ships will be nerfed like the Borg were?
Anytime this game adds in new things that require actual tactics to overcome, people just whine and whine till it is nerfed down into being the same as every other enemy we face.
Breen power drain was nerfed, Borg firepower was nerfed, and so were the Undine's ship regenration. Not to mention all the nerfs to the Elachi.
I'm betting two weeks after launch all the escort players will complain about blowing themselves up so often fighting these guys, that we see most of their powers removed.
Hell, just think about back when the romulan defender de'driex came out accidentally, and how everyone completely freaked out because it could heal itself and didn't die in 5 secs like every other rom ship.
I like the look of the Dreadnought and Battleship, but what's up with the glowing tats on em? The abilities these things bring are going to make fighting them a bit tricky, looking forward to it. I'll admit. . . I want their torpedos. Not interested in their take on antiproton though.
One thing that concerns me is the size of the ships. We saw in the Voth episode that their city ship dwarfed even borg cubes. While I don't expect ships of that size to appear in game (at least not yet, though im hoping) will the Dreadnought at least be the size of the Borg mothership we fight in the Red Alerts?

I've only had the time to try the Spire STF on TRIBBLE once...
It went very quickly with the PUG I was in.
Since it was my first attempt, I spent the majority of the time paying attention to my status and just making sure I didn't s'plode...
As such, I didn't get to really take-in all the aspects of the Voth ships encountered.
After reading this Dev Blog, I'm kinda wondering just which ships are included in that FE?
I know the BOSS ship at the end was pretty large, but I don't really remember what type of ship it was.
Is it supposed to represent a Voth Dreadnought?
If so, it didn't seem that particularly difficult to beat in my first try at Puggin' it.
I was flying my Multi-Mission Strategic Explorer Vesta, which has a couple of Mk-XI purple phaser beam arrays a blue Mk-XI phaser beam array (all DMGx3), the experimental Romulan Plasma beam array, the Romulan Hyper-Plasma Torpedo launcher, Kinetic Cutting beam Mk-XII...
With a blue Mk-XI phaser relay and a green Mk-XI ambiplasma projectile booster
I was using the BORG 3 piece set...
A plain Mk-X matter/antimatter WARP core
(haven't upgraded this yet on my TRIBBLE toon, since the new ones were intro'd)
The Zero Point Energy Conduit
I was using the 3 piece Vesta set for my SCI consoles
The BORG Assimilated Module
and finally a blue Danube Runabout hanger.
Not the best set up by far, but I survived the whole thing without blowing up.
I don't really see a need at this point for anyone to cry out to nerf it.
Or was it just dumb luck? LoL

That being said I hope I can acquire that Voth Dreadnought for my Romulan and name it the Executor, and load it with nothing but turrets. Then get the Omega Mk XII ground unlocks and rename him Darth Vader. Now if only those Tholian swords came in red...

...it's literally the canon City Ship from Voyager... :P

Point taken. But not very likely - if they had, there would be no STO. In fact, there would probably be no Star Trek. :P
Aaand....Simon the Digger, Nanoha Takamachi, Madoka Kaname, Lelouch vi Brittania, and Kirito would beat the Ori and Iconians...left-handed! (Or right-handed in Nanoha's case as she is actually left-handed.)
As to the ships and BOff things...I would so love one of these in a lockbox (I want the Dread in one!) just so I can have one.
Voth BOff? YES PLEASE!
EDIT: This is going to be very interesting once I get to the Voth in my fanfic...just how the hell is a Type V civilization goign to deal with a borderline Type III like the Voth? O_o
EDIT2: Directed at Branflakes and the Dev Team. Can you reveal anything without spoilers about this connection between the Voth and Iconians? Are they at war or something?
You know... I just realized something: with that sheer size, an Escort could actually "broadside" with DHC's in the front and whatever they want in in the aft... ignore how that sounds, you get the idea. A torpedo "broadside" with both fore and aft launchers could be interesting too. Fighting something this freaking HUGE is going to be rather different compared to what we fight most of the time.
With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.
I'm curious about how some of these new Voth abilities work.
1. Can we get some details and stats about the immunity matrices? From what I understand, there are three versions of this ability. Are these console abilities or abilities inherent to the ship?
2. Are transphasic-chroniton torpedoes just torpedoes with both the transphasic and chroniton procs? What is their base damage?
3. What is the firing arc of the Voth Citadel Dreadnought's wide-angle torpedo ability? Does it work only with transphasic-chroniton torpedoes or does it work with other torpedo types as well?
I didn't see Voyager, but these Voth ships you've let us preview... wow. I'm going to feel kinda bad attacking such beautiful ships. The Voth are going to have to act like complete jerks for me to feel anything other than remorse as I breach their hulls. Real talk.
Name suggestion for fancy hybrid torpedoes: Chronophasic or Transchroniton.
I especially like the first one, since it, to me, captures the hybridized feel.
That said, I agree with the guy commenting on feeling bad about destroying the bigger ships. So many dinosaur people dead, and they're not even GD style Saurians for me to not feel bad about it.

Yes it's still WIP..... mostly because kit-bashing the Scorpion Fighter, The Borg Probe, and the Romulan Drone made this.... thing...

But OUCH they will get nerfed... and nerfed hard... I can already smell all the flames from poor little Escorts not PWNing them instantly!

I wonder if they'll be selling the Nanopulse weapons in the Voth Rep Vendor?
You missed a spot, Brandon. I can see the old Voth frigate in the screenshot with all the ships.
I just wish they would finally get around to making the skins full body instead of just the head...

Shhh... don't confuse them with facts!
They don't particularly like that...
And I'm pretty sure I felt it was a Star Destroyer when I saw it there too...
Note: I'm not complaining. I just thought it'd be worth a laugh to make Darth Vader in a SSD. I mean if people can make BATMAN...
Yeah, there are similarities, hehe. I'm just teasing you - there's only so many ways to skin a triangle into a giant spaceship.
