The Voth have developed a unique Immunity Matrix, which phases a volume of space around their ships to provide them with total immunity to damage from that direction.
Trying to bring more utility to Subspace Jump in PVE? Not bad.

Who knows, the heavy anti-energy weapon focus might just be the catalyst needed to get a solution to the torpedo problem.

Very cool. Sounds like we won't be able to just sit still and blast away at them like we can at pretty much every other enemy. I like that.

While listening to the podcast, Geko states one Voth ship is so large that an Oddy can fly inside of the trenches on the Voth ship. :)
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

The dreadnought looks like a wraith cruiser from stargate atlantis

And let the arguments as to which pointy looking ships do or don't look like other pointy looking ships begin...

Looks like I might consider a Voth lockbox ship. Seems like that's where all the cool stuff will go anyway. The reputation has neither their weapons nor drones or anything that seems to be Voth in origin.

Looking forward to seeing the Voth Fortress ship. Sounds like it could be on tribble later today, if Geko's time frame is accurate.

We would also need some way to boost the torpedo damage without losing energy damage to make it work... Any news on those new fancy fleet tactical consoles? It would make sense if they go for a energy type + projectile type damage boost...

Ehm, I thought those were still being worked on. But you're right, it would be strange to show them off in a devblog if that would be the case.O_o

Please say a drain build will actually work against these monsters! Would seem the logical type of weapon to attack with.

Still waiting to be able to use forum titles

Interesting. Honestly I think I'm gonna feel bad about dropping the big ships in particular given the numbers likely aboard. The abilities though, sounds like packing a sci team and a subnuc will be valuable, while AOEing away will be a fast way to die. I wonder though, if you're in the Sphere's gravity well, and they hit you with enough power drain to say turn off your engines, shouldn't gravity ensue?

I certainly hope the next lock box gives anti proton weapons there have been none since the old Borg ones. It's been phased and disruptor for hundreds of years!! Where are our updated antiproton??? I would buy 300 lock boxes those weapons with good mods would be SO popular on the exchange.

Those ships looks so awesome I kinda dont want to fight them.
And I so cant wait to play this day one and watch all the countless escort pilots kill themselves with their own Alpha strike and not realize whats going on. I really hope you keep that ability, dont change it later because people are too stupid to read.

You guys really should consider some surface texture updates for planets and the inner surface of the sphere. It just looks so...terrible and outdated.

I think back to when I looked at Earth for the first time while in Sol System and discovered that the planet looked like the world of Minecraft. :P

Great work on the ships though, despite the fact that I would've preferred some of the previous concept designs instead.

So, that Imperial Star Destroyer and a Mon Calamary Cruiser fly into a bar, 9 months later... <.<

I like the designs though, it looks true to what I've seen of the Ships in Voyager itself, and their abilities are promising. (The frigate looks a little plain, but most Frigates do) Just hoping they will not turn out to be more annoying then interesting to fight with all their defence stuff, ever seen 2 tank focussed cruisers fight in 1 on 1 PvP? ^^'

Okay first will say I love all the Voth Ships. Would love to fly that Cruiser. The only thing I can say throws me off is the look of their energy weapons. I don't know what it is, maybe it just looks very PowerRangerish to me. I love the idea behind them. Still looking forward to going up against them. This looks like a good use for my Escort Torpedo Boat.
Space is vast, it's wonderful and maddening. Yet in that madness is some of the greatest beauty I have ever seen.

Star Trek vs Star Wars vs Star Gate?

The Asgard would wipe the floor with a Star Destroyer. ;)

I don't know about playable, but I'm sure we'll get one as a Bridge Officer soon enough.
