Right, so I have a KDF Character who is level 22 and have no other characters (KDF) who are level 40. It seems that I can't claim my Marauder because my rank is not high enough. That means that I have to level up 18 Levels before Monday....And I am away on the weekend because of a trip. Is there no way for this to be claimable by and other means apart from leveling? I have a FED who is level 50 and I really don't want to miss out on this great giveaway but it looks like I will.

Its possible to level to 40 on your kdf toon..but you'll have to devote most of the day to leveling and nothing else. If there's a Mirror event within the ship window I'd try to get in on that...you can get 5 levels easy in that. Good luck
SCE ADVISORY NOTICE: Improper Impulse Engine maintenance can result in REAR THRUSTER LEAKAGE. ALWAYS have your work inspected by another qualified officer.
These ships are the same as they were yesterday, just at a 100% discount during the Day 5 promotional period. Ships have always required players to be at the minimum rank to be purchased to ensure that they are not accidentally purchased when they can not be used at the time of purchase.
Hope you're able to level up and claim these awesome ships!
Cheers,

Do the Mirror invasion events! Doing so, and with a bit of luck you can get around 4-5 levels within an hour. If you have equip doff's for bonus skill points (some consultants do that). As for doffing there are also some kdf doff missions that reward around 3000-4000 skill points upon completion. I found mine in Omega Leonis and Eta Eridani. I had the same issue you are facing. Using this method I got my Klingon from 24 to 50 in around 4 days. Just by doing Mirror Invasions and doffing. That's around 1-2 hours a day.
You could even get some of your level 50 friends to help you out running story missions and such in order to gain XP.
Maybe a six pack of redbull will help.
I would say two of them, a pack of xp boosts, and doffs will do it for ya. If you all remember that quote and then what happened soon afterwards, no wonder why we would even believe a word about anything that comes from cryptic.
Totally agree.
During events like this the level requirement for the free ships should be set to T1 ship requirements to claim. This would be good for cryptic because someone might roll a toon for that faction for the first time when the faction is announced knowing they will get a ship for when they hit that level. This provides them the comfort of leveling the toon at a slower pace to enjoy the content. longer play increases the chance they will buy stuff for it.
And even better would be to remove the faction requirement for the free items as well. That will increase the chance someone who plays one faction only to actualy roll another faction at a later date even if they dont do it during the event.
"I'm drunk, whats your excuse for being an idiot?" - Unknown drunk man.
The same goes for guys wanting to power-level Feds.
I'm in the same situation Klingon side, and I have to say that this would be nice. When I claim items on my level 50 Fed, my lower level Feds simply aren't able to claim the vessel. So there's clearly a way to activate things for an account but not a character.
Or perhaps allow Romulans to "claim" the vessel too? My Romulan is sort of a 50 KDF, why not just allow him to click claim in the C Store, and when my Klingon levels up she can grab it?
I don't get why some people are acting shocked as if it's never been like that.
All Cryptic did was change the price of the items
Are you completely serious? You don't want to get to L40 in 5 days? That's rushing to you?
Just create a brand new character, rush through to L40 in what, 12 hours, claim everything, be done with it.
Go back to the pitifully slow levelling of your other character.
Kirk's Protege.
This is completely possible as they already set claim requirements on ships anyway.
Someone's definitely a Trekker(mirror universe Trekkie) up in here... Talking about insta-grinding missions when most of us want a story... Not a grind.
Doing the story missions can net you levels pretty quickly. You almost forget about the grind aspect and you level quite quickly too. Granted not as quick as bonus xp events, but it's still quick and fun.
Sometimes those missions are dialogue heavy... and because of that they can take longer just by all the reading... THAT is what i meant... there;s a difference between "F"-ing your way through a mission as quickly as possible and sitting back to take in what's going on... there's some pretty damn good story going on in some missions.
Agree Cosmic. My new KDF is only level 18. But I'm not going to lose sleep over it. It's not a ship I want to fly and the console is meh. I literally got the Fed ships for holding gear and nothing else.
The marauder doesn't have a console, it has "unique" fighters that are meh.
I say "unique" in quotes because they're not really that different from the boarding party boff power.
Edit: That said, I do find the flight-deck carriers to be my favorite style of cruiser. Plus, there are lots of other fighters you can put into this baby.
So this extended thing is only about the last ships? Not for instance the day 3 ships?

Although I wish they would do another pass on how the marauder looks and possibly even though they said no to doing any future orion/gorn/nausicaan/etc ships they should change that view point unless they plan on reshapeing the story back to the condition of the alliance the federation and the Klingon empire had during the TNG/DS9 era where these current races were mostly never spoken of or when seldom seen or talked about were enemies of on unfriendly terms with both organizations.
