Sorry guys and gals a new person here. I tried to claim it and it told me I have the max allowed ships already. I just started playing last night. Any ideas?
If you are at your max, you have to ditch one of your ships. I'd go with your second ship if you want to keep the first for sentimental reasons... though if you literally just started the character, the small craft from the C-Store are almost as tough as that first ship...
And, if you haven't yet, make sure you have both a Fed and KDF character to at least unlock the freebies for later. The Small Craft have no minimum level, and the T3 ships will only have a ML20. This should be fairly doable, anyway. Hitting 50 by Friday night... that could be tough.
Mostly, open a slot by ditching a ship you don't fly anymore and didn't get out of a lock box. Even if you then dismiss the free Small Craft you can reclaim it later, since these are account unlocks. Notice it says that it is a 100% Discount off the purchase, rather than merely claiming the one-off.
With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.
@docsven, gain a few more ranks to open up ship slots then claim.
For the giveaway, its nice to see that they are giving us ships, it is very generous, HOWEVER, they yet again have not matched the Fed/KDF items, Fed's have 3 fighters that could have been given to match the KDF fighter, BUT since the KDF is badly lacking in the content area they have only one small craft available to give, Cryptic, you guys NEED to bring the KDF up to par with the Fed's.
I do agree on this. I was telling a fellow gamer at work on this same topic. Where there isn't much offered for KDF. Due to lack of stuff for them. Hardly any outfits, a few ships, and some odd goodies. So their options is really limited.
I agree fully, they need more stuff for KDF to use from the C store.

Legitimate question: My husband and I were both set to claim the items today, and went about claiming as normal. However... His came in as a shuttle, a craft that you can actually use. Mine came through as non-combat pets and yes, I have a ship slot free and it let me claim. A little confused. No, my husband didn't get the non-combat pet.

You both should have gotten both. The non-combat pets usually end up in the overflow bag, though I'm not sure as to why the flyable shuttle wouldn't have come through for you.

The pet comes as part of the shuttle giveaway (his will probably be in the overflow bag, even if he had inventory space. If he goes to space and looks at his power tray he might see the icon to launch the non-combat pet, I did). Check your ships in the shipyard, yours should be there.

Thanks cryptic, both will make shuttle missions A LOT more fun.
Quick tip to fellow players: STOwiki (and the Z-store itself) is either out of date or made a typo with regards to the yellowstone. It does in fact have 5 crew, not 4. Just checked my new ship in game and happened to notice.
For those who don't like the nice rugged new look, you can also change the design to danube in the tailor.
Anyway, on to guessing the remaining days.
I'm really hoping they give us the T5 Excelsior, and either T3 Akira refit or T3 Nebula.
But in my opinion we'll probably end up with the T3 Excelsior and T5 Nebula (though I'd actually quite like the nebbie, personally)
I seriously doubt we'll get a D'kyr, since the Talkyr shuttle would make the yellowstone seem obsolete (although the main draw with the yellowstone has always been the engine, so maybe....).
Armitage, Atrox, t5 Defiant and Galaxy are too popular if STF's are any indication.
As to T5 Intrepid, Regent and MVAM, with more fleets starting to hit T5 shipyard, I doubt they would want to hinder sales of fleet ship modules by giving everyone a free module discount. Besides, both carry a hefty 2500z tag. Gal-X has a fleet version coming too, and apparently their considering revamping the galaxy class completely
That just leaves Nebula and Excelsior as T5 candidates. So probably Nebula imo, with Excelsior filling in at T3 for tomorrow (i'd think the T3 akira is sells too well, what with the point defence console)
KDF side, I hope we'll get the T3 Vandal or Dacoit and T5 Marauder.
I think the Marauder's the likeliest at T5 (Varanus would give easy module discounts for fleet version, Kar'fi, B'rel and Guramba are all very popular and expensive).
I think we'll end up with the Phalanx, Norgh Refit or K'tinga Refit for our T3 gift. Vandal comes with the plasmonic leech, so its popular enough KDF side to have continued sales (judging from in game experience anyway). Dacoit will probably become more popular when people see the awesome stats of the elite orion interceptors, though I think its a lot more likely than the Vandal.

Thanks for the freecraft guys, it's very appreciated!
Okay, if we're doing both a Klingon and Fed ship tomorrow, my guess is the Advanced Science Vessel refit and either the B'rel refit or the Koro't'inga. More than likely It'll be the B'rel. I'm thinking these will go because they're source material ships, which is an advertisement, so when you're flying alongside a person without one in PvE or housing them in PvP they're gonna want that. Meanwhile the Advanced Science Vessel and the B'rel both have tier 5 retrofits, which means that they're basically invitiing you to buy up when you have the opportunity.
I'm guessing the Heavy Escort Carrier and the Kar'fi Battle Carrier for Friday. Carriers are good for business because they encourage people to take a look at other fighter bay options and encourage small ship sales to get matching craft, as well they both have a rather emphatic look which encourages people looking at them to pony up the cash. That's my thought anyway.
I'm betting on the d'kyr, and here's why. Anything else that costs 2000z would undoubtedly cut into fleet ship module sales. The Armitage is too well-liked and has a fleet retrofit. So does the Kar'Fi. So does the Nebula. And everything else that's T5 on fed side.
KDF side, I'm really hoping for the Marauder and Dacoit, because that would give KDF players a science vessel that doesn't cost money or require endgame to get to.

I'm betting AGAINST the D'Kyr and here's why... the free shuttle it comes with would make the free Yellowstone kinda pointless. I can't see Cryptic doing that. Also, since the Tribble server has testing going on with a re-textured D'Kyr, my money is on a Fleet D'Kyr coming out at some point.
That said, I would have honestly gone for any fed ship which didn't have a fleet version as well (can't think of any except the vulcan and andorian ones) so what does that leave us?
As for the KDF, again, anything without a fleet version is probably fair game, but I wouldn't mind as I have a toon they would suit nicely.
BTW I won't complain about the D'Kyr, I'd just be surprised.

See, I think it looks awesome. The only reason I didn't buy it before is because the Delta Flyer is better. But now I have both.
Wouldn't life be boring if were were all the same?
Similar for me, Delta one me over by being the most sleek shuttle
But while Yellowstone is a bit funky looking, i like it, its got its quirks
These are the Voyages on the STO forum, the final frontier. Our continuing mission: to explore Pretentious Posts, to seek out new Overreactions and Misinformation , to boldly experience Cynicism like no man has before.......
A general question regarding factions. Would Romulan characters aligned with either faction be able to claim the respective ship as well?
Yes. I already had the yellowstone though, and my reman has the engines from it on his romulan shuttle. All shuttles/fighters like these are lower than tier 5 so romulan republic characters can use them.
Thanks Cryptic. This will be the very first KDF ship from the c-store I own lol. Been wanting to buy it for a long time as well as other ships but haven't gotten around to it yet. (I was afraid you would give away the yellowstone because I already bought it many months ago, and was hoping you'd give away the peregrine fighter. Oh well. Thank you though.)
I never bought the Yellowstone before, and I've bought plenty of ships, because the profile pictures of it make it look kind of ugly. But it's actually pretty neat looking, when you can zoom in and rotate around it.
Likewise, I resisted for a long time opening a Timeship Shuttle box on a KDF character because your tiny publicity shot of the Rozhenko makes it look like an ugly little shortbus. Yet it's secretly really cool, covered with all sorts of tiny details only visible in the tailor.
When you want to show off ships to sell... get us some nice 3D images we can zoom in and rotate around. The in-game shipyard does it, but it's still pretty tiny, way too small, and some of the C-Store ships should be shown off better.

I think it looks cool. That's why I bought it many months ago. The nice thing is it comes with engines that give you an eject warp plasma type ability you can use as well as a built in tractor beam that is not a console or boff ability.

I get your thought process, but think like a drug dealer for a minute. A good promo guy always will. So here to Christmas is going to be a drop in sales, right? But maybe if you give people a free taste now you might get an increase in module or Zen sales if you meet people half way. So the mentality, to me, wouldn't be "do I want to sell 4 modules or 2, it's do I want to create an opportunity to get 2 module sales where normally I'd expect none? That'd be my theory any way. I say Advanced Science Vessel Refit, but the T3 Excellsior style Advanced Heavy Cruiser is a possibility. Both of these are sales goldmines in that they encourage players to buy some fleet modules (and why not, get 2 now to get the T5, then get the other 2 once you're bored with that and pull down something else sweet?). Plus with both those two, there's all the uniform stuff it encourages (the TNG or Wrath of Khan uniforms, respectively). Take a look at the first two days gifts The DS9 uniform (encourages purchase of the DS9 bundle, the Bajoran Uniform, the Defiant style Tactical Retrofit, etc.) and the TOS Command Tunic (encourages the purchase of the TOS bundle, the TOS uniform, etc.). The Klingon side doesn't have as many options that way, which is why I think the B'rel refit is likely, and I think that the carriers are likely for much the same reason. They're meeting their market half way in a time when they're least likely to make sales.
Before Cryptic started this promotional, I had already owned the day one and two items. When it comes to this neat little shuttle, I do not need to claim the ship. I already own the Delta Flyer.
Cryptic is doing a great job with this promotional. If I were still a rookie player, I would have grabbed all three items. Very nicely done.
Not sure I understand why you wouldn't claim a free item. I mean, it's free, just claim it, then it will be there. Even if it's just for the engine, you can put it on all your Delta Flyers. Unless I misunderstood you.
Anyhow, started out 0 for 2, now I'm 2 for 4. Thanks Cryptic.
I kind of expected the uniforms of day one and two. And I was expecting another uniform again. (I'm not complaining here, but trying to keep my expectations within seemed reasonable). Having these shuttles as part of the promotion really surprised me. Thank you very much.

that would be awesome.

I have to say I'm surprised that at least one of the uniform options was not KDF or usable by both. Say the formal set to go along with the sale on uniform slots.
have all three days worth already bought, not that im complaining. i been around from day one, it was inevitable that i would pick up most the things, thouh im pretty sure thurs/fris stuff i wont have since i do not own ALL the ships.....
