    - Going through the fireball after I blow it to kingdom come.

    - Watching someone rage quit an STF or Fleet Event after their brand new Rommie Ubership doesn't perform as advertised on the tin. (Note: This will not be the hardware's fault. Someone probably placed a defective Captain in the Big Chair.)

    - Watching the PvP crowd (what's left of them) post thread after thread about how the Scimitar is OP and needs to be nerfed. Naow!

    - Reading a thread where someone wants PWE/Cryptic to give away free Scimitars and how unfair it is when they do not do so.

    - Reading the replies to the above thread and wondering where I can get the same meds which have so successfully disconnected so many people from reality so effectively.

    - Warping into ESD, seeing three or four Scimitars parked there and thinking, "Ya know, somewhere Shinzon is looking down and smiling. Then he realizes what's going on and flies into a berzerk rage."

    - Flying my MU Vor'cha onto the tail of a Scimitar in PvP and watching while he/she frantically tries to turn.
Or dive. Or climb. Or speed up.

-Reading the thread posted after the above demanding PWE/Cryptic make the Thalaron weapon a 360 degree AoE weapon with a range of 10km and a cooldown of 1 second.

    - Watching the I.R.W. Sitesh one shot a Scimitar.

    - Knowing at last there is a ship an Oddy or Barbeque can turn inside of.

    - Knowing no matter how uber OP the Scimitar turns out to be, my Rommie toon has already seen the Bridge and the Ready Room.

    - Equipping and flying what is surely one of the more interesting enemy vessels in all of Star Trek.

The above were written in jest and not intended to be taken seriously. I don't take myself seriously, so I cannot expect anyone else to.

and thats exactly what they'll do.

Watch it come out with a glitch that makes the thalaron breath crash the game - a thousand players crying at once. I hope there are no glitches, but - oh the irony

Personally, I want to use my thalaron breath to finish off Dontra in KASE. Lets see how she likes it :P

Also, i cant wait to see the forums full of posts about how "in the movie, the scimitar had 52 disruptor banks and turned like a fighter, why do i only get 5 fore weapons and a turn rate of 5!?!? THIS IS NOT CANON! I WANT 52 FORE WEAPONS AND A TURN RATE OF 10000!!!!"

not that I disagree with you opinion on betaziod women (Mans worst nightmare - women who read minds) and their piloting abilities, but wasn't Riker driving?

btw, my gf's main toon is a female betazoid and she kicks my a** in PvP - but dont tell anyone

Watching all the new Scimitar captains blow up in ESTFs because they think they bought an I Win button. Happened with the Oddy, happened with the Kumari, and it's going to happen with the Scimitar. It may very well be a powerful ship, but that doesn't mean that people will know how to fly it. There will be explosions. I guarantee it.

    Only some? Try all.
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once. B)

Love how the stats are not posted yet and someone on another thread is already saying it's OP and needs a nerf.

Me personally haven't bothered with any of either the oddy/bort pack the vesta pack or the kumara pack so can't see me being interested in this for my rom (Especially as it unlikely he will ever get above lvl 10 unless they give the option to ally with the Tal Shiar.)

But I will be watching the threads with popcorn seeing all the OP and nerf threads as soonas the stats and ship goes live.

And I didn't even have to use my Jedi powers this time. Lucky me.

I was writing those predictions in jest. There is a serious, life threatening shortage of humor around these here forums. Bad, good. Doesn't matter. No one seems to remember this is a game which is Star Trek based and is supposed to be something we do for entertainment.

Moar Preedikshuns uv things I iz lookin' forwart tu.. Cuz I can.

    - Someone else will ask for the Special Console Set to not be ship bound. So we can all have Thalaron weapons on our Escorts.

    - Someone will purchase a Scimitar and become publicly angry because their Lvl 50 Federation Liberated Borg Klingon Tac toon won't be able to fly it.

    - Someone will say the Science version sucks. Because it's been nerfed.

    - Someone will say the Engi version sucks. Because it's been nerfed.

    - Someone will say the Tac version sucks. Because it is OP. Nerf it.

    - Someone will suggest a Mirror Universe version. With twice the consoles and all universal Boff slots.
    "To make it fair."

    - Someone will want the Mirror Universe version as part of the three pack. Instead of Engi, Sci, and Tac.

    - Someone will say the Mirror Universe version sucks. Because it's been nerfed.

    - Someone will name their Scimitar R.R.W. I bought this! Nyah Nyah Nyah!.
    Just to tick people off.

    - Those of us who purchased Vestas and Kumaris will now be able to return to PvP.
Without fear of our own team head hunting us.

    - Those of us who purchased Vestas and Kumaris will now be allowed to sit with the rest of the Captains.
    Instead of outside the airlock.

well I can say this when i snatch it I'll likely die a lot in stfs as i first play it till i develop a good fighting style around it. But that's all about playing a new ship. But are there that many rommies who have the gear available for a e-stfs already ?

Pretty much just looking for a Romulan carrier, and now that its about to happen all I have to wait for now is the Timeships, Flagship, and the Vet ship.

One they're all done I can't imagine much else I would specifically want for the RR ship wise.

I look forward to two things:

    1. Flying this ship and making it into an actual threat PvP-wise.

    2. Blowing up people in PvP who are expecting this ship to be their new 'uber-ship' and will die easily anyways.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.

    You forgot one!

-- Reading posts on the Starfleet side that demand a Typhoon or Jupiter carrier with the same stats and special abilities of the Scimitar!

Incidentally...that is already happening, and the ship isn't even out yet!

To be fair, the Jupiter and Typhoon fans () have been waiting for those ships for quite some time. At this point most of the threads we *ahem* they post in are for jest.

Please do not take any of my previous posts in this thread seriously. I wasn't serious when I wrote them and I do not take my self seriously. I really am a bit enthused about the Scimitar. I'm not going to purchase one. Probably not. But if the thought of being able to revisit and participate in the ship fight scene from ST:Nemesis brings a few more new people here and gets a few other people already here a little more enthused about STO, then the Scimitar will have exceeded my expectations for her.

Seeing the stats, weapon slots, and what the differences in the 3 versions. I will compare it to the JHDC and the other carrier types.

Finally to buy one for my Romulan once she gets up to level.
